Day 1 Santiago – Santa Cruz
This trip starts in Santiago, the capital of Chile. We pick you up at your hotel or the airport and take you to Santa Cruz, the capital of the beautiful valley of Colchagua, around 2.5 hours south. After check-in at your hotel, a visit to Viu Manent vineyard awaits you in the afternoon. A carriage takes you through the vineyards before finishing with a tasting. Accommodation: 4*-Hotel in Santa Cruz
Day 2 Colchagua Valley
COLCHAGUA VALLEY (B) Your day starts with a visit to another vineyard today: Viña Montes. A walk on its extended botanical path leads through the vines of Divisadero Hill (6 km/4 mi, moderate difficulty) and allows for panoramic views of the Apalta valley. Apart from that, learn about the many endemic plants that grow only here in Chile. The tour ends with a wine tasting of four different varieties, before you indulge in a delicious lunch in the local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue to one of the most renowned wineries of Chile, Lapostolle. Their “Clos Apalta” received the award of the best wine of the year 2008 from Wine Spectator, among others. It is quite fascinating to learn how this winery works exclusively with gravity. Accommodation: 4*-Hotel in Santa Cruz (B)
