A HIKE TO REMEMBER On Saturday the 6th Kyamk’s new exchange students went on the by now almost traditional trip to Repovesi. It was one more opportunity for them to get to know each other better even though most of them seem to have made friends fairly quickly. Students from more than ten different countries had about three and half hours to experience - as we were told - one of the most Finnish things in the world: hiking and after that, heating up sausages at a camp site. Some of the more adventures folks even went for a swim in the lake. Everybody had a lot of fun and the only downside to this trip was that three and a half hours are just not enough to enjoy the beauty of the landscape and go for a proper hike. We were fortunate though as the weather was much better than it seemed it would be. As for the exchange students it was hopefully a nice way to relax after the stress of the last few weeks and a good new start into the next months which they will be spending here. We all hope that you will enjoy your stay and all the activities keep you from getting too homesick. Yet if you do, look back at how far you have come and the friends you’ve made. They are here with you and you are all in this together. Stay awesome! Text & photos: Sarah Rosenthal
