EXHIBITORS PARTICIPATION GUIDE SEMC ANNUAL MEETING 2023 1

WHY PARTICIPATE?

The Southeastern Museums Conference is one of the largest and friendliest regional museum associations in the nation, representing twelve states, plus Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and over 1,800 museum professionals. Known for its creative programs and exciting evening events, SEMC’s “all in one” registration encourages informal interaction between Resource Expo exhibitors and meeting participants. The 2023 Annual Meeting will be in-person at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky with several key events being live-streamed for all SEMC members! Session panels will also continue to “zoom” in speakers.

SEMC’s Annual Meeting and Resource Expo are perfect formats for businesses to directly reach museum decisionmakers. Museum leaders in many different disciplines include directors, curators, registrars, exhibit designers and educators. Resource Expo hours and activities are scheduled to encourage maximum traffic and exposure for your products and services. We expect a robust return to conference participation in 2023 with between 500-600 attendees in Louisville. Exhibitors are welcome and encouraged to attend evening events to continue networking with SEMC attendees which this year will be held at the Frazier History Museum, Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, Muhammad Ali Center, Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, KMAC Museum, 21C Museum Hotel, Speed Art Museum, and the Kentucky Derby Museum. Offsite tours are also planned to many additional cultural sites both pre-and post-conference. Corporate Membership packages that include Annual Meeting exhibit booths and program advertising, plus year-round newsletter advertising and membership directory listings, provide a costeffective way to extend your presence in SEMC throughout the entire year.
