ur o y d n i h e b y r e o t m a S n s s e n busi Autumn Raine Boutique, Autumn is my only girl out of 8 kids. Her middle name is Renee so I went with Raine bc it flowed. She is my inspiration!
After working for someone for years and never being appreciated for all I was doing plus not being paid I left and went out on my own. I felt like a rebel for leaving so I went with Rebellious Boutique!
I couldn't think of a name that was different and I liked, so I started wondering how these boutiques got their clever names and I Googled... picked my favorite color-ish and favorite flower... The Lavender Daisy Co. 😊

They just.... do? Lol. I think it’s about the Ora of your group. We are such a community that they post pics because they love the compliments. I also always post a selfie with my pickup cabinet after a sale and sneak in there that I’d love to see them post their pics when they wear their new items!

n e e b s ' t a Wh biggest your take in mis ess? busin You can't escape competition.....don't ignore it, but don't dwell on it either. Have confidence in your own business and go with that. The things you focus on the most are going to be what succeeds the most Where do I start....Comparison Is a thief of joy. Never buy for just one person. Don't restock ... They won't buy it. Cautious with pre-selling anything until you have a vendor history with a line… My area is a year behind the rest of the US in trends. Just to start
Do you have $10,000??? Each one of you reading this has some type of investment in yourself. It’s a must whether you’re in the process of building a brand or starting a business. And, as we all know, an investment can either work in your favor or backfire on you. But, that’s the risk we take! Life is all about taking risks! I am living proof! You have to step out of your comfort zone in order to flourish in any way. Coming from an 8th grade education, financial struggles, and dysfunctional family, the first risk I ever took in my life was on me. I had $10,000 in 2006 Chatti Patti was my dream. A children’s clothing brand.
Fast forward I wanted something more for myself. My daughter grew up. Children’s clothing wasn’t my niche anymore. So I took another chance on myself and morphed Chatti Patti into Southern Fried Chics. I opened the little store and it zooooooomed! I couldn’t handle the face to face work. I knew eccomerce would be easier for me to still have a life with my daughter. Catering to individuals all day everyday was taxing. I knew there would be risks from going to an online business from brick and mortar; however, I never thought in a million years that the web could be my number one enemy!
As an online boutique owner, one thing I’ve learned is just how important it is to make and keep an individual presence on the online giant - Social Media. Despite the risks that come with it. You have to stay true to your brand, stand out, and look particularly different from the competitors at all times! It’s very important to stay in your lane, stay on trend, and keep any and all ideas cutting edge and fresh in this ever-changing industry. As your company evolves, it’s a necessity to stay true to your brand and hire employees who want to help you do the same thing! This is another risk you have to take. We all are different. Some are a lot nicer, hardworking, or dedicated than others, and there’s some who never have your best interest from the start. Find the silver lining, try to hire those with great work ethic, learn from your past experiences and mistakes, protect your business legally! You have to be careful with who you hire and ultimately trust. This is a dog eat dog world.
Through it all, the most important risk I took in life was with my beloved daughter, Sammy! Becoming a mother was one of the greatest and scariest moments of my life. I knew there was this little person here who was depending on me and my every move, and after everything I’ve been through, I knew there was no way I could give up! So, since day one, Sammy has been along with Mommy on this journey. It was just the two of us! I was a single parent with a 4 year old setting up my tables, showing my designs to potential buyers, and she would be there right with me in her car seat. Under my booth tables in New York City at markets. In order for me to give her a better life, I took the risk of her losing her childhood.
Years later, she’s well rounded about the culture and understands the lifestyle. She respects and understands the grind, the good days, the bad, and the hustle. She also respects my growth over the years! While she respects me, I respect her as well! She’s going to college and I am paying for her education. I took my 8th grade education and gambled on myself so I could afford to give her a better chance. Looking back, I know I did the right thing, and I wouldn’t change it for anything! As a business owner, life can be pretty darn tough, ya know!? And, it feels great to say after taking the many risks over time, I’m here living my dreams! I had the dream, I made and set goals, and I took my chances. I made the decision to be obsessed with this industry! I live, breathe, and sleep this lifestyle. It’s a fast-paced business that requires quick decision making! It constantly changes, and you have to be ready to roll with the punches! You can’t ride the wave! Learn to make your own and stay true to it! Take those risks, and take all of the chances that come your way! Don’t be afraid! Throw yourself and your brand out there, because there’s always that one person who’ll listen! And, today I’m giving you that chance to think about your future! With your $10,000, what are you going to do? Would you put it the bank, or would you invest?

Six Tried & Tested Ways To Give Your Clients The Online Shopping Experience They Deserve With new online stores popping up every day, it's vital to make sure that your store is the best it can be! Your goal is to make your website as easy to use as possible to give your customers a fantastic shopping experience they'll want to repeat again and again! Here are six tried and tested ways to reach that goal: #1 Make sure your site is speedy and easy to use You want your website to load in under 3 seconds (don't forget to test on mobile, too) and your menus and navigation to be as easy as pie to follow. Ask yourself if it's easy for customers to find what they are looking for. Test, test, and test again!
ss e M hot ng i t l u c ons
#2 Go on and add a payment plan Make it as easy as possible for someone to buy from your store! Sezzle is our favorite Payment Plan app - but basically, just make sure you offer payment plans!
#3 Collect email addresses and use them to send a warm welcome message Email is still one of the most effective forms of marketing, so make sure that you at least have a Welcome series and an Abandoned cart series. A weekly newsletter is even better! #4 Include customer reviews so potential shoppers know they can trust you. #5 Give your shoppers a reason to buy! FOMO is your friend! Countdown sales bars, limited-time offers, and apps like Sales Pop are great for adding urgency and ultimately making that sale! #6 Send thank you gifts and handwritten notes It's a guaranteed way to make shoppers remember you!
