Convocation Regents should make every effort to provide helpful information to the Fellows-Elect who are to be inducted. Answer any questions they may have. In late summer, either write, email, or call to welcome them to the College. Impress on them the importance of attending the Fellowship Orientation Program. This is a good time to make sure you have the name pronunciation correct. You will receive instructions from the Convocation Committee and give instructions to your Fellows-Elect in the robing room. It is vital to have your candidates in alphabetical order before leaving the staging room. It is a good idea to have your spouse or another person there to assist if the class is large. Each Regent will introduce the Candidates from his/her district. You will have a script, your list of Candidates, and the chance to rehearse. A group photo will be taken during the Convocation. Once your entire group is across the stage and has received plaques and keys, the Fellows will be posed by a professional photographer by District. The Regent will return to the stage after pictures are taken. The photographer will also be taking individual or family photos of the robed Fellows after the convocation. Regents and their spouses should attend the dinner banquet. You will be seated with your district. Make sure your new Fellows are listed in your District Newsletter or in a letter to the Fellows in your District.
