Middle School Activities 2nd Trimester nd
As the nights draw in and the daylight gets shorter we move to our 2 season of Activities. We have some new activities beginning and also some continuing throughout the year. Even though the same activity may appear as in season 1 it is nd important that students sign up for the 2 trimester if they wish to take that activity again. We are excited with the addition of our two Saturday ‘day trips’ making the most of our surroundings and getting students outside and active during the winter season. Middle School Students are responsible for signing up for Activities themselves. The sign up will be announced in the school bulletin and the form will appear on their grade team portal. Parents are encouraged to talk to their child about their activity th choices and work with them to encourage a healthy balance of activities. Although the trimester begins on November 25 some activities m ay start and finish at a different date. Please refer to the specific activity description in this booklet. Please if you ever have any questions feel free to come and talk to us in the Activities Office.

Basketball Training: Tuesdays and Thursdays between 3.15 and 5.30 depending u pon gym availability. The finalised schedule will be announced by coaches. Start Date: Tuesday November 25th. Swimming Training: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 3.15 and 5.30. There are also Thursday early morning sessions. Students should aim to swim two of these sessions a week. WINTER SPORTS EXPERIENCES –DAY TRIPS Cross Country Skiing Experience – Saturday January 24th Students leave from ISP early morning by bus to experience a day of Cross Country skiing at Bedrichov. The estimated trip fee is 1200 and includes equipment rental, transportation and instruction. The trip is organized by ISP and will be chaperoned by ISP faculty with instruction from local instructors.
Downhill Skiing – Saturday February 7th Students leave from ISP early morning by bus to experience a day of downhill skiing at Harrachov. The estimated trip fee is 2000 kc and includes Students would need to rent equipment from within Prague (we can assist). The trip is organized by ISP and will be chaperoned by ISP faculty with instruction will be from local instructors.
