Welcome from Investor Publishing Welcome to the virtual HealthInvestor Awards 2020 – a very different experience for all of us! I’m very sorry that we can’t all be together in the Grosvenor House to celebrate the achievements of the health and social care market in person. The HealthInvestor Awards was originally meant to take place on the 10th of June – but clearly 2020 had different plans for all of us. Thank you to all of tonight’s finalists, judges, and sponsors for sticking with us as we first moved the date of the event and then made the decision to pivot to a virtual ceremony. Clearly, we live in remarkable times and tonight we will be doing our best to recreate the essence of the HealthInvestor Awards – by celebrating the amazing firms in the health and social care sector; by creating a platform for attendees to make new connections and reconnect with colleagues; by bringing the sector together to remember all the great progress it has made. I also want to thank everyone in the HealthInvestor community for its support during the past six months – whether that is by subscribing to the title, attending our webinars or engaging with us on our virtual events. We have exciting plans on all of these fronts, so please do get in touch with myself or the team to discuss how we can work together – or how you can join our community. Who knows what the future holds – and when we will all be in the same room again – but whatever the challenges we face, I believe the outlook for the health and social care sector is brighter than ever before. We hope you have a great night, and wish you the best of luck when your category comes up.
