Stylish design, durability, high security, low maintenance, energy efficiency and cost are all key considerations. At Archers Windows, all of our window & door frames are manufactured using the most technically advanced system on the European market.
Do you need extra space for work, rest or play? Our sunrooms are designed using a conservatory frame and a lightweight, insulated, tiled roof. This creates a new room that can be used all year round. We can also replace existing conservatory roofing with this insulated roof system.
Adding a conservatory to your home is a great way of bringing the outdoors in, whatever the weather. You can even grow your own lemons and limes!
We offer Palladio, Apeer & Solidor composite doors as well as PVC doors. With such a wide range of styles and colours to choose from, you are sure to find the perfect door for your home.
If you live on an exposed site or near a busy road or railway line, then you should consider upgrading your windows to triple glazing. As well as providing excellent thermal insulation, triple glazing provides outstanding sound insulation too. And you could save up to 20% on your annual heating costs.
Installing sliding patio doors in your main living area is a great way of increasing the flow of natural light into your home. When the weather permits, you can throw open the doors and enjoy your garden from the comfort of the couch!
Home Renovation Incentive Scheme (HRI) We are registered for the Revenue’s HRI scheme so you can claim tax credits on all home improvement work completed before December 31st 2015. Ask for more details.

It is then left to you to cut and cook each individual mouthful exactly as you like, adding your chosen sauces either before or after the cooking process 3. For a more well done steak, cut a couple of bite size pieces and turn them a few times. This will sear them on the outside and begin to cook them through whilst ensuring all the flavours and moisture of your selected cut are trapped inside.

that whatever your sexuality is, that they are loved, respected and protected for who they are, that their love has as much value as the next person, and that they are no longer marginalised but now part of the norm, part of society, legally recognised as equals, just like everyone else. On a personal level, I wish to thank family, friends and acquaintances for their patience with me as I talked endlessly about Marriage Equality. This is an extremely personal and emotional moment in my life, as I am about to become Equal in the eyes of the Law for the first time in my 49 years! Words cannot express what I am feeling today. For those of you that voted Yes, please be assured that you not only have made history in the World, but you have given young people hope, love, support and acknowledgment for who they are, which is life changing in the most positive way. For those of you that voted No, I hope you will see in time that much of the negative publicity surrounding this referendum was nothing more than inappropriate propaganda just like the time we had the Divorce Referendum in 1995. I hope you will see that our towns, villages and our Country is far better off accepting other human beings as equals, that society will benefit from a healthier acceptance of diversity, and that the institution of Marriage will not just continue on, but will be filled with so much more love from people that wish to be part of it. Thank you to everyone that supported the Yes campaign. The emotional explosion of happiness, pure joy and love today is down to you! Ireland is a better place to live for everyone because you made the progressive choice to say Yes to Equality
Bringing the community together as one Date: 29th June to 4th July 2015
‘What an incredible, highly emotional and historical outcome to the referendum’, says Dave Thomas, cofounder of Arklow LGBT Group and the Wicklow Pride Festival.
‘The people of Ireland have spoken, and the majority of Yes Votes speaks volumes. It clearly says that gay men and women are invited to be part of the wonderful Institution of Marriage. Furthermore, that we can avail of this, and know our love is no less value because of our sexuality. It also clearly telling all young LGBT people that they are accepted and recognised for who they are, that we live in a diverse country and accepting and embracing diversity is a healthy thing. A country is often judged by how it treats its children, its elderly, the most vulnerable... we are proudly telling the World that we embrace Diversity, and that we are telling the young people today

SUMMER GARDENING
S g u n m i n m e e d r r G Summer Gardening a ng Su G
ardening should be fun, but there is no such thing as totally labour free gardening. Growing plants necessarily involves some work but this can be reduced to a minimum if the right approach is taken. Plants want to live but too many people fuss over them unnecessarily. Not only do they make extra work for themselves but they also harm their plants in the process and even kill them with kindness.
the way in which you will use the space.
Avoid Having a Large Area of Lawn
Contrary to popular opinion, maintaining a lawn in good condition is expensive, both in time and materials. In small gardens, a lawn can often be replaced with advantage by a hard surfaced area. This may be a wooden deck or patio made of brick, stone or slabs. A hard surface is expensive initially compared with a lawn but needs little maintenance and can be used throughout the year.
Keep on Top of Weeds
Deciding what you want Gardens are also for living in and the ideal garden should not only be beautiful but tailor-made to suit the needs of all those who use it. So before you rush out to spend money on masses of pretty plants and hard landscaping (building) materials, or even before you call in a professional designer, if using one, you must first decide what you really want from your garden and what practical as well as aesthetic functions it has to perform.
Weeds are the greatest obstacle to hassle free gardening. Getting on top of weeds and preventing them from seeding, rapidly lowers the weed seed population in the soil. This is a major step towards reducing time spent on routine maintenance chores. Before planting make sure that perennial weeds are completely eliminated. This can be done manually or by spraying with a herbicide.
Garden Design Basics
A well-planned garden will bring only ease and pleasure, like a well-planned house or beautifully tailored clothes. A good design will create a sense of harmony, linking people to nature, linking the house, garage, sheds and other buildings to the landscape and the plants to the soil. Garden design is not simply a matter of choosing plants and arranging them on your site. Making a garden is a process, beginning with the soil and the seasons and involving everything from construction to

For example, if your household includes boisterous children, then forget the promise of a perfect lawn for now. Instead, design around the children and their needs, but start planting up the boundaries and the walls of the house with all your favourite things, so that by the time the children have flown, a wonderfully mature framework of beautiful trees, shrubs and climbers will already be in place.
Light and Shade
You should be able to jot down at a glance
where the light shines at different times of day, where the winds play hardest and where the rain lingers longest. (That area might need special draining.) All these things have a bearing on which plants you can grow well and what parts of the garden are best suited for sitting out at various hours. Now you can start filling in the details of what you consider essential features.
Work with Nature
If a plant dies or fails to thrive, it is often because it is not suitable for that area. Plant the right plant in the right place. Providing shelter from strong wind is a major aid towards hassle free gardening. If the garden is exposed, most plants will fail to thrive until suitable shelter is established. Plants such as Escallonia macrantha, Griselina litoralis, hebe spp and elaeagnus are good shelter plants. Don’t plant wind susceptible plants, such as Japanese maples and rhododendrons, in an exposed situation. Give preference to wind resistant species such as heathers, hebe, cistus, olearia and sorbus. As gardens become smaller and apartment living more popular, many people are growing plants in containers to decorate patios and balconies. Three of the most useful kinds of container are: Window boxes, hanging baskets, large planters. The style and material used in their construction should fit in with the proposed environment. Wood, reconstituted stone and terracotta are suitable for older houses but good quality plastic, fibreglass and concrete may be more suitable for modern homes.

The unique patented U-shaped grills sit directly on top of each other which results in Less Fat, No flare ups and more flavour. You might be surprised that you can see through the gaps in between the grills just like on a normal barbecue – the second bottom grill is supposed to line up directly underneath the top one. The magic of the second grill – when you cook meat on any grill excess fats and juices from the meat are drawn out by the science of viscosity to the actual point where the food makes tact with the grill and then drips down. On a normal grill, meat fats then drip all around the burners causing flare ups and other problems. But on a Grillstream, any fat dripping down the outside of the top grill is captured by Grillstream’s unique second bottom layer.

Fish for Family and Friends Many Irish people don’t include enough fish in their diet – despite the fact that it is one of nature’s most delicious and nutritious foods, packed full of Omega 3. So, next time you’re thinking of making burgers, stew or even curry, why not use hake or whiting? The Fishman would be happy to fillet and bone the fish for you so it’s quick and easy to prepare when you take it home. Fish is very versatile and you can usually substitute one type for another in recipes. A great choice for everyday meals!
Cajun Seasoned Haddock
This is ideal for a quick dinner.
Ingredients: • 4 haddock fillets, about 175g each, skin on and boned • 4 teasp. cajun seasoning • 1 tablesp. Wicklow Rapseed Oil • Knob of butter • 400g fresh baby spinach leaves • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
To Cook: Preheat the oven to Gas mark 4, 180ºC (350ºF). Place the cajun seasoning on a flat
plate and use to dust the haddock fillets, shaking off any excess. Heat an ovenproof frying pan. Add the olive oil and cook fish, skin side down for 1 minute, then turn over and cook for another minute. Transfer the pan to the oven and roast for 4-6 minutes. The exact time will depend on the thickness of the fillets. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a large pan and then add the spinach. Cook until it wilts down, season to taste. Arrange the spinach on warmed plates and top each one with a piece of haddock. Serve with a lemon wedge and crusty bread.
Grilled Haddock with a Salad of Baby Gem, Egg and Crispy Bacon Ingredients:
• 700g haddock, skinned and boned • A little salt and black pepper • 6 streaky bacon rashers, smoked if possible • 100g green beans
• 4 baby gem lettuces • 2 eggs, hardboiled, peeled and cut into quarters
Dressing:
• 2 garlic cloves, crushed • 1 dessertsp. wholegrain mustard • 1 teasp. chives, chopped • 2 teasp. tarragon, chopped • 2 tablesp. white wine vinegar • 4 tablebsp. wicklow rapeseed oil
To Cook:
Preheat the grill. Place the fish on an oiled baking sheet and season with a little salt and black pepper. Place the streaky rashers alongside the fish. Grill for about 5-6 minutes until the fish flakes easily and the bacon is crispy.
Cook the beans in a saucepan of boiling water for a couple of minutes then drain and keep warm. Place the garlic, mustard, chives, tarragon, vinegar, oil and a little salt and pepper in a jam jar. Shake to combine. Cut each lettuce into four and divide between four serving plates along with the eggs and beans. Flake the fish and roughly chop the bacon. Add to the plates then drizzle over the dressing and serve while still warm. *You can find out a lot more about how you can incorporate more delicious seafood into your families routine by attending one of our cookery classes or indeed by calling into us on the South Quay Wicklow Town.

Rich Dark Belgian Chocolate Brownie Head Chef: Chelsey Doonan
This sumptuous dessert is truly mouthwatering and while it is gluten free it doesn’t taste gluten free (i.e. bland and flavourless!) In fact the smell of the rich Belgian chocolate hits you first as the warm brownie oozes chocolatey deliciousness. The hot caramel and dark chocolate sauce drizzles down the side and the richness is perfectly balanced with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and a strawberry. One TripAdvisor reviewer – Coco, describes it as “the best brownie in the country”! Chelsey is one of the top pastry chefs and together with her team at Food at Fishers they whip up a storm of gorgeous food both sweet and savoury every day, using only the finest ingredients and locally sources produce. JUNE Paul Smith v Andre Ward Sun 21st June
Chambers Bay On June 15, 2015, Chambers Bay will welcome the U.S. Open as it comes to the Pacific Northwest for the very first time in its history. With massive, rolling fairways, towering dunes, undulating greens and unpredictable coastal winds, the traditional linksland course will provide the world’s best with a test unlike anything played at a U.S. Open. Different indeed, a challenge unlike any other in the long history of the U.S. Open. Chambers Bay is a quirky 7.5-mile track, a links course featuring huge elevation changes and just one tree, massive green complexes with no collars around the putting surfaces, yawning bunkers and thousands of yards of fescue grass, heather and unkempt rough. While few of the 156 players have visited the course that opened in 2007 and will be the epicenter of golf June 18th- 21st, many of those who have played it left the Evergreen State seeing red. 38 inWICKLOW June 2015
Paul Smith believes ‘a puncher’s chance’ is all he needs to deliver one of the most sensational upsets in boxing history when he meets Andre Ward on June 21, live on Sky Sports. Smith who has suffered back-to-back defeats against Arthur Abraham, travels to Ward’s hometown of Oakland to tackle the undefeated fighter who is regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. But Smith is not fazed by the task that lies ahead and insists he has seen chinks in Ward’s armour that he hopes to exploit when the pair clash

Shawn Porter v Adrien Broner Sat 20th June Welterweight contender Shawn Porter (25-1-1, 16 KOs) will be in the ring facing former three division world champion Adrien Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) in a catchweight fight at 145 pounds on June 20th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Broner has a nice three fight winning streak going for him since his defeat at the hands of Marcos Maidana in 2013. Broner moved down to the light welterweight division after that fight, and he’s done well against the limited opposition he’s faced. Broner must limit the amount of shots that Porter gets in on him, because he could wind up tasting the canvas once or twice if he doesn’t.
Wimbledon Championships 29th June – 12th July 2015 The world of tennis descends on Wimbledon in South West London every summer for two weeks of tennis, strawberries and cream, and good-natured queuing, at the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships. Wimbledon is one of four annual Grand Slam tennis tournaments held around the world. It’s the world’s longest-running and most prestigious tennis tournament. Games are still played on the original playing surface, grass, and there’s a strict white-only dress code for players. During the first week, the early rounds of the Singles and Doubles matches are played, with the top seeds playing on Centre Court and Courts 1 and 2. The La-
dies’ and Men’s Singles Finals take place over the final weekend of the Championships. The Lawn Tennis Championships at Wimbledon have developed from the first meeting in 1877, witnessed by a few spectators, to a highly professional tournament attracting an attendance of close to 500,000 people. Players from more than 60 nations compete in front of a crowd of millions worldwide, through the press, radio, internet and television.

‘The Notorious’ will face the toughest fight of his career when he meets the Brazilian on July 11th in Las Vegas. But, as you would expect, he doesn’t seem one bit concerned or frightened, saying he is going to kill Aldo at the MGM Grand. “They knew I was coming, fight after fight. I burst onto the scene, called everyone out & knocked everyone out,” “And it’s like ‘he’s not for real, he’s not fought stiffer competition’. And then as each individual continues to get knocked out then you’ve got to say - now he’s creeping up on me’. The Featherweight champion has not lost a fight since 2005 and has won 18 bouts since, while McGregor is undefeated since losing to Joseph Duffy in 2010. Notorious has revealed exactly how he is going to beat Aldo when the two meet at UFC 189. He said: “I’m going to sprint straight for him and I’m not going to give him a second. “I’m going to go in with my hands raised. I’m going to be talking to him while I’m whooping him, at the same time. The same way I do to them all. “I feel Aldo has made a career out of fighting short, stocky wrestlers who are not good on their feet and are more intimidated on the feet and they shoot from half way across the cage. Good luck to you Conor – We will all be cheering for you.

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar, an island located off Central America’s Pacific Coast near Costa Rica, now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. This new park is owned by the Masrani Global Corporation. Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), a member of the park’s on-site staff, conducts behavioural research on a group of Velociraptors, known as Blue, Charlie, Delta and Echo. At the corporation’s request, the park’s geneticists create a hybrid dinosaur known as Indominus rex (created from the DNA of Giganotosaurus, Rugops, Majungasaurus, and Carnotaurus) to boost visitor attendance. Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) is the park’s operations manager. Her nephews, Zach (Nick Robinson) and Gray (Ty Simpkins), are visiting the island when the hybrid escapes and are subsequently caught up in the creature’s deadly rampage. Now, it is up to Owen and Jurassic World’s security team to contain the hybrid dinosaur before she can cause more damage.
