INTRODUCES
LOW IMPACT DENIM
The new jeans collection from JACK & JONES lowers the use of water and energy and reduces the impact on the environment. With Low Impact Denim, JACK & JONES makes a longterm commitment to sustainable production. Innovative laser and ozone technology is used in the finishing process to treat the denim, replacing the conventional production process. In order for a pair of jeans be labelled Low Impact Denim, the use of water has to be reduced by at least 40%, compared to if the pair of jeans were produced the conventional way.
In addition, through our BESTSELLER membership of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), some of the LID fabrics include the use of ‘Better Cotton’. ‘Better Cotton’ is cotton grown in a more sustainable way with reduced use of fertilizers, pesticides, more responsible use of water and with focus on improved working conditions for the farmers. For more info visit http://www.bettercotton.org/. JACK & JONES has also teamed up with SGS – one of the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification companies. SGS visits the JACK & JONES laundries and inspects the production in order to calculate the actual savings achieved.
Lower your impact today! Are your jeans dirty? Wash them in cold water – and not too often! Are your jeans smelly? Throw them in the freezer! Do not tumble dry your jeans! Instead, hang them out to dry! The customers get a pair of jeans with the same great look they’re used to – and get to make a difference for the environment. For the autumn 2012 collection, customers can choose from 9 Low Impact Denim jeans, prices starting at 59.95 euro.

sansanaSPA was awarded the title of Dublin’s Only Comprehensive Spa by Fáilte Ireland However, exercising has its rewards. We not only gain health benefits, but we can also reduce our stress levels and improve our quality of life. So what are some of the ways to keep fit this summer without breaking the bank? Think of summer as a time of change instead of a time to let it all go. Summer can actually be a great time to increase exercise and make some healthy changes to one’s lifestyle. There is so much more that you can do outdoors now than during the colder months. If you’re on holidays abroad, try the fitness center or hit the pool and swim some laps. Maybe take to the beach for a brisk walk or light jog. Be a little adventurous and try some hiking or kayaking. As for food - fresh fish, fruits and vegetables should be on the menu.

Sports Clubs & Leisure
Enjoy all outdoor activities in your local area with family and friends. Find nearby parks and explore walking trails. Try activities like swimming or water aerobics one day a week. Swimming is a total body workout as you use your arms, abdominal muscles and legs. Water aerobics classes are offered at gyms and leisure centers. Invite your partner to go for a walk with you in the evening after the sun goes down or plan a bicycle trip for your child and their friends. For those of us who are not big fans of team sports, the summer time might be the perfect time to engage in other physically rewarding activities. There are many different fun

activities that you can engage in during the summer time. Tennis, Gymnastics, Dance Classes, and Football are just some of the popular activities that the both kids and adults can participate in. The variety of Summer camps available throughout South Dublin is amazing with something to please all kids and teens whether their interest is sporting, creative, academic or simply just play. Now if you want to get really creative, you can set up a fun obstacle course in your back yard using stuff that you already have at home. For instance, you can place a broom in between two chairs so that a person has to crawl underneath. You can place hula hoops on the ground and kids will have to hop through the hoops. Another part of the obstacle course can be throwing a ball into a big basket. You can also go with something more traditional such as carrying an object on a spoon (carry a water balloon). The possibilities are endless as long as you have the time to invest in the setting up of the course. However, the best part about all of these activities is that you can get the whole family involved, even friends if you wish. These little games end up being so much fun that you hardly even realize that you are exercising.

KITCHEN
The Kitchen is the heart of the home, and it’s also a major factor in determining the home’s resale value. New Kitchen Flooring, freshenedup presses, refinished appliances, and a contemporary backsplash are all money – making ways to improve your home value while enjoying your dream kitchen.
Tips: To ensure longevity of your kitchen – go for quality cabinets – this will prove more cost effective.
– Verify that all kitchen items arrive undamaged before allowing commencement. – Raise any concerns with the kitchen fitter whenever they appear rather than waiting till completion.
The important thing for you is that you receive quality goods and services at a fair cost. The important thing for most retailers is that they win your custom and you then spread the word. As the adage goes – If the services completed are of a high standard you will tell a friend or neighbour, but if the standard is poor you will tell a crowd. Windows & Doors
The right choice of windows and doors can not only improve the appearance, but also improve the insulation and security aspect. The basic function of windows and doors is to admit daylight and ventilation in acceptable and consistent quantities, while maintaining the ambient temperature inside the house – this is your overall comfort level. But this needs to be balanced against your requirements for what you want to see through them and how much privacy you require. You should also consider how the windows and doors need to blend with the overall style of your home, both in design and colour. From a safety and security aspect you need to have the appropriate style of window or door for each location. And finally if noise is an issue you need to understand the impact of using certain styles of windows and doors, and glazing options.
Do you have a Multi-point Locking doors? The efficiency of the locking is only as good as the discipline of the homeowner when leaving the home. When the locks are fully engaged by pulling the handle upwards they provide a reasonable degree of security. HOWEVER, believing your home is secure by having these multipoint locks on your is misplaced. The career thief will gain entry to your home in less than a minute even with this locking fully engaged. Here’s what they can do:
1. If the locks are not fully engaged the only point of security on your door is one simple latch – the thief knows by checking the resistance of the handle. Even if your door has multipoint locking fully engaged, they can: 2. “Bump” the door lock – the thief will use a standard filed door key which he will forcefully hit into the standard cylinder lock breaking all the “pins”
and completely disengaging ALL the locking. 3. Snap the lock by means of a vice-grip or claw hammer. 4. Drill the lock – disabling the pins in the lock and disengaging all locking. Your Action Steps:
1. Replace the door cylinder with an Antisnap, Anti-Bump and Anti-Drill lock. 2. Ensure the deadbolts are locked at all times when the house is unoccupied even if you are just “popping out for a minute”. For obligation free advice and information as well as supply and fitting service for upgrading security on doors and windows, contact Paul on 276 8533 or call to our showroom in the Superquinn shopping centre, Bray. Patience, Passing and Possession: Liverpool will begin their assault on the Premier League this season with Rodgers!
Brendan Rodgers has finally got down to business as Liverpool manager and already it is clear to see the style he wants to implement through pre-season games. The first noticeable difference between this Liverpool and the one under Kenny Dalglish was the tempo at which they played and the formation that was used: 4-3-3 has replaced 4-4-2. Both men believe in keeping the ball on the deck but Rodgers does not want to see things being done in a hurry. Liverpool are delighted with the appointment, and are backing the former Swansea manager to make a significant impact. Werner said: “I don’t think anyone could have been happy with our performance on the pitch last year, no disrespect to Kenny. I think he is an iconic figure for Liverpool and he will always be appreciated for the stability that he brought to the club”. Brendan brings a modern, attacking philosophy to the game - I think the Liverpool fans will be very happy with the new style he will bring to the club - and hopefully we will see a big improvement. Will there be a top 4 finish for Liverpool this season?
The USTA announced today that world No. 1 and five-time US Open singles champion Roger Federer, defending US Open champion Novak Djokovic, and 2010 US Open and 2012 French Open champion Rafael Nadal lead the men’s singles field for the 2012 US Open Tennis Championships. The player field also features former US Open champions Andy Roddick and Juan Martin Del Potro. Each of the world’s top 101 men received direct entry into the US Open, representing 37 countries. The 2012 US Open will be played August 27 – September 9 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. Both the men’s and women’s US Open singles champions will earn $1.9 million. Leading the entry list is world No. 1 Roger Federer, who returned to the top ranking following his title at Wimbledon this year. Federer surpassed Pete Sampras to set the record for the most weeks at No. 1 in the ATP rankings at 287 weeks. Federer is seeking his sixth US Open title, which would surpass Sampras and Jimmy Connors for most US Open men’s singles titles in the Open Era. World No. 2 Novak Djokovic is the defending US Open champion after defeating Rafael Nadal in four sets in the final last year for his first US Open championship. Djokovic won the 2012 Australian Open and reached the final of the French Open.

The Lucky One Out 24th Aug
Safe Out 24th Aug Luke Wright (Statham) is a former black-ops supercop previously hired by a corrupt New York mayor (Chris Sarandon) to play Travis Bickle, unofficially wiping criminal scum off the streets. But disgust with his crooked bosses and colleagues eventually leads him to become a cage fighter instead, until a lethal accident and a proud refusal to throw a fight brings him into the vengeful orbit of a sadistic Russian mafia godfather Docheski (Sandor Tecsy). Instead of killing Wright, Docheski’s henchmen murder his wife and leaves him homeless, Meanwhile, the Russians are also engaged in a violent feud with the Chinese Triads over access to 10-year-old Mei (Catherine Chan), a genius-level golden child abducted from China due to her superhuman math and memory skills. Both Docheski and his Chinese counterpart Hang Jiao alumni covet Mei’s beautiful mind because it contains the secret combination to a fortress-like casino safe where the Triads have stashed a vast fortune. But as she flees from a series of botched abduction attempts, Mei crosses Wright’s path, pulling him back from the brink of suicide with a redemptive mission to protect her from harm.

Learning her name is Beth (Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.

ituated in Glencullen on the top of the Dublin mountains, Jonnie Fox’s is one of Ireland’s oldest and most famous traditional Irish pubs – and also famed as the highest pub in the country. We are located approximately 25 -35 minutes drive from Dublin City Centre.
At Johnnie Fox’s we have Traditional Irish Music every night, including Saturday & Sunday afternoons. There are more wellknown bands that play throughout the year on selected dates. You can also see one of the top dancing performances in the country at our famous ‘Hooley Night’ – which includes dinner & show. All in all, Fox’s is the home of traditional entertainment, so be sure to book in advance if you can. The locality itself is steeped in history with “The Colonel’s House” situated in Glencullen – reknown as a hideaway, for Michael Collins throughout Irish history books. Monoliths are plentiful and you can even view a “Giant’s Grave” on the scenic walks high atop the mountains. Daniel O’Connell, the great Irish Liberator was a regular patron of Johnnie Fox’s when he lived here in Glencullen. In 1823 Daniel O’Connell gave his blessing to Christy Fitzsimons – to marry his daughter, and to this day the family generation still reside in Glencullen. In the early 1950’s, programmes on Irish music an story telling were recorded for radio every Sunday night in Johnnie Fox’s and broadcast live to the nation, on location. In the 1960’s Johnnie Fox’s Pub was famous for the session – An Seisiun – travelling musicians would gather to play and trade songs with local people – a tradition which prevails to this present day with the music and song still emanating from
the famous location, where song banter continuosly fills the airwaves. The Hooley Show – The “Johnnie Fox’s Hooley Experience” is famous throughout Ireland and abroad for its originality and unique atmosphere that cannot be found anywhere else. Our guests are invited to a four-course meal where they can savour our various award winning seafood dishes as well as our general cuisine. For non-seafood lovers, our menu’s offer many other alternatives, from Prime Sirloin Steak to vegetarian dishes – there are choices to suit every taste. The meal is followed by a live Irish music session where our top acts play Irish music, ranging from traditional and folk to ballads and sing along music. The music session is followed by the Johnnie Fox’s famous dancers, who provide a spectacular performance. Their show has been choreographed by Joey Comerford and has been described as one of the best ‘Cultural Shows’ in the country. The Whiskey cake is unique to Johnnie Fox’s, and as with all their desserts – everything is baked fresh on the premises in their very own bakery. So be prepared… and make sure you arrive on an empty stomach! The pub serves all manner of dishes, but is renowned for a variety of unique seafood dishes, take the Grand Platter @ €115 – will comfortably feed four people… and leave them with a smile on their face! Also, The Lovers Platter – a clever dish served with a selection of fresh succulent seafood and serves two, and not forgetting the house Mussels – the house special and favourite among the punters, which is presented on a unique serving dish. If you haven’t already sampled the experience the culinary delights of Johnny Fox’s – then you need to! Because you’re surely missing out.
