A N OT E FROM THE E XE C UT I VE DIRECTOR ‘Grace to you and peace from God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.’ HONORING THE MISSIONARY LEGACIES OF DAN AND BRENDA CLOWERS With the end of the year approaching and Bishop Talmadge Gardner the retirement of Dan and Brenda Clowers becoming effective, December 31, 2020, World Missions Ministries (WMM) is honored to pay a final tribute to the Clowers in recognition of their ministry and legacy as career missionaries for the International Pentecostal Holiness Church for over three decades. Dan and Brenda began their journey with World Missions Ministries in 1986, serving the country of Costa Rica. In July 2001, Dan was appointed as the Overseas Ministry Coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean Islands. This position later became known as the Continental Director for Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2018, IPHC’s overseas alignment was restructured, which facilitated Dan’s current role as Regional Director for Central America. Brenda served as the Coordinator/Director of TEAMS from 2001-2012 and was a co-founder of World Missions Ministries’ SEND (See Every Nation Discipled) program in 2006. Their ministry legacy is renowned, beginning with their first assignment in Costa Rica and throughout their 34 years of service. The Clowers made a lasting impact in Latin America as they organized and actively led numerous ministry construction and medical teams; built and planted churches; trained and developed leaders; and discipled future missionaries.

A N OT E F R O M T H E E XE C UT I VE D I R E C T O R We are thankful that the Lord continues to provide direction, leading Dan and Brenda into a new season of ministry. A full salary package, including benefits, will continue through March 31, 2021, at which time their retirement package will be finalized. Below, you will find a letter from Dan and Brenda expressing their gratitude for your partnership and faithfulness over the years. As they make this transition and receive retirement benefits, please continue your faithful support through March 31, 2021. In addition, if you would like to honor them personally, you may contribute to their Gift account (52041G) as they prepare to retire. Thank you for helping us - help them to ‘finish well’ – they deserve no less. Dear Ministry Partner, It is hard to believe that we have served for 34 years with World Missions Ministries. What an amazing privilege it has been to be missionaries and serve as the Continental Director for so many years and as Regional Director over the last two years. There are no sufficient words to adequately describe the incredible experiences we have had in our years of service. Primarily, we have worked in Latin America but have also had the privilege of working in other countries around the world with short term teams. For the last two years, we have served in Central America, where we started 34 years ago. It has been a joy to see how these countries have grown and developed from where they were when we first entered missions. There have been some specific joys in our years of missions. The first was serving as directors in the Bible school in Costa Rica for about 11 years. So many of our students have now become successful pastors and serve as leaders in the conference. Another joy has been the privilege of opening new fields both in Central America and South America. It is a blessing to see how these countries started from nothing and are now strong conferences with strong leadership. And, of course, it goes without saying that one of our greatest joys has been the privilege of working with teams to build churches and work with medical teams all over the world. Our prayer is that, in the churches that were built, many will continue to receive teaching and spiritual growth for many years to come. Page 4
A N OT E F R O M T H E E XE C UT I VE D I R E C T O R All that has happened in our ministry was not accomplished by us alone. We first give God all the glory for what He has done. We also thank you as our partners in ministry for your faithfulness throughout the years. It is always a humbling experience each month as we look at the support report and see so many names of people and churches that have believed in us and sacrificially given to help keep us on the field. We are now at the point in our ministry where, after much prayer, we have decided that it is time for us to retire from World Missions Ministries. In consultation with Bishop Talmadge Gardner, we will continue to be available to our fields as much legal work is still needed, and the transition of responsibilities will require us to phase out gradually. After the retirement is official as of December 31, 2020, our desire is to continue to minister in whatever way the Lord directs us within our own conference, as well as occasional visits to the mission field for ministry and with teams. Again, our hearts are filled with gratitude for your faith in us and your years of financial support and faithful prayers. Only eternity will tell what your commitment to supporting us as missionaries as well as others has accomplished. We will miss all our national leaders and pastors who we love dearly. We love World Missions Ministries and thank them so much, but it has been you, our partners in missions, that we will miss the most. You have been in our hearts, and we love you for being with us through all our years. God Bless you, Dan & Brenda Clowers The ministry legacies of Dan and Brenda will forever be etched on the ministry fabric and tapestry of World Missions Ministries. They are a beloved couple who has given their all for the sake of the call and the gospel. Dan and Brenda, on behalf of a grateful church, we honor you and thank you for your outstanding service to Christ and the IPHC as career missionaries for the past 34 years. May God’s favor and anointing rest on you as you step out in faith once again into a new season of ministry and fruitfulness for the Kingdom’s sake. You will always be revered as cherished members of the World Missions Ministries family. Page 5
A N OT E F R O M T H E E XE C UT I VE D I R E C T O R WMM COUNCIL APPROVES THE FOLLOWING CANDIDATES AS MISSIONARIES In the October 7-9, 2020 WMM Zoom Council Meeting, the WMM Council unanimously approved Christopher and Alicia Dunlap, Abigail Bishop, and Justin Long as missionaries. We thank the Lord for answering our prayers for laborers. Three of the missionaries we approved are Emmanuel College graduates, while the fourth is a graduate of Holmes Bible College. Thank you, Presidents White and Thompson, for the investment and influence that your respective educational institutions are making on a younger generation. Please pray for these new missionaries, and thank you for supporting them as they step out in faith to begin itinerating. We desperately need to get them to the field so that they can begin fulfilling their lifes’ calling and service as missionaries. You will find a profile of these treasured gifts below. Christopher and Alicia Dunlap https://give.iphc.org/missionary/christopher-and-alicia-dunlap The Dunlaps’ mission is to touch the world for Christ by ministering to and discipling leaders and community members to foster spiritual, community, and economic growth. Christopher and Alicia both graduated from Emmanuel College with degrees in Agricultural Missions and Secondary Math Education, respectively. Christopher is passionate about training, educating, and empowering leaders and pastors to influence their own people in their cultural contexts. Alicia is passionate about being with people and encouraging them in their relationship with Jesus, personal goals, passions, and calling. Christopher and Alicia will be serving alongside Kevin and Summer Sneed in Kenya, where they will be teaching classes at East Africa Bible College, ministering in local churches, and assisting with girls’ and women’s ministries. They are called to the nations to give hope to the hopeless, peace to the restless, and love to the broken.

A N OT E F R O M T H E E XE C UT I VE D I R E C T O R Abigail Bishop https://give.iphc.org/missionary/abigail-bishop For as long as she can remember, Abigail has sensed the Lord’s call to global missions, specifically ministering to the next generation. Through volunteering in her local church’s children’s church, working with Falcon Children’s Home in North Carolina, and participating in a two-month internship in Japan, along with other diverse opportunities, she has been trained and equipped for effective children’s ministry. Abigail will locate in Bangkok, Thailand, where she will work with career missionaries, Albert and Jiep Gonzales, assisting and teaching in Sunday School classes, engaging with children’s and youth activities, assisting local leaders and pastors, and participating in local outreach. Abigail’s love for Jesus and passion for the lost will be a driving force as she carries out the Great Commission. Justin Long https://give.iphc.org/missionary/justin-long Justin, originally from North Carolina, first got involved with missions at the age of 17 on a mission trip to Nicaragua. It was there where he developed a deep desire to serve the global church. In 2019, Justin joined The Awakening as part of the international base staff, serving daily in Hungary. A burden for unreached people groups in closed countries pushes Justin to look for non-contemporary methods of ministry to ensure that no matter where he serves, everyone is afforded a chance to hear the gospel. Justin hopes to use his love for culture, travel, photography, and a close-knit community in any and all ministries that he is part of. COVID-19 INTERNATIONAL RELIEF FUND UPDATE In light of the continued needs presented around the world by COVID-19, we are delighted to announce that, to date, WMM’s COVID-19 International Relief Fund has dispersed in excess of $650,000 to 63 countries. We are grateful and humbled by every contribution that we have received. I am also pleased to tell you that every member of our World Missions Ministry team at the GMC made a personal contribution to this Fund. Other Team members at the GMC also made personal contributions at great sacrifice.
Page 7
A N OT E F R O M T H E E XE C UT I VE D I R E C T O R I would be remiss if I did not recognize the significant contribution that Wing Kwong Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hong Kong, China, made to this Fund in the amount of $250,000 USD. We are indebted to Rev. Donavan Ng, field superintendent of Hong Kong, and Rev. Joanne Wong, pastor in charge of Wing Kwong PHC, for modeling our seventh core value, ‘Generosity.’ As Dr. Tramel so aptly expressed when I apprised him of this generous contribution: “As cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a far country.” [NKJV]. Also, the IPHC Extension Loan Fund recently made a sizeable contribution to this Fund in the amount of $30,500. Thank you, Chairman Mathew Alfred, and President David Parker. The Extension Loan Fund continues to be a conduit that blesses the IPHC. I cannot tell you how impactful this financial support has been to so many who are still in desperate need. Let me reiterate our pledge to you that 100% of every contribution is being disbursed to the field to assist with the many requests. Currently, many of our missionary personnel are still under international travel restrictions based on advisories issued by the Centers for Disease Control and the U.S. State Department. World Missions is still requesting that all planned trips by mission teams and other short-term ministry trips be deferred until after the present crisis is resolved. The health and well-being of our missionaries, our global family members, and yours is our priority! Be assured that World Missions Ministries continues to process contributions and make monthly disbursements to our missionaries around the world, thanks to the diligent and outstanding service of Debra Lybrand and Mandi Patterson. Also, I would like to express a special thank you to Brenda Phillips, our Global Ministries Center CFO, and her Accounting team for their support. Good is coming from this pandemic. ‘God wants to do something THROUGH it.’ He has good purposes in ALL things. “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.” [Romans 8:28] Page 8
A N OT E F R O M T H E E XE C UT I VE D I R E C T O R JEFF OEDER APPOINTED TO SERVE AS WMM’s REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR CENTRAL AMERICA In the October 7-9, 2020 WMM Zoom Council Meeting, Jeff Oeder was appointed to serve as the regional director for the Central America Region. (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama) The regional director position is a missionary assignment appointed by the IPHC World Missions Executive Director, in consultation with the World Missions Council. Regional directors serve as the primary liaison between the fields of service and IPHC World Missions; national leaders and the Executive Director; field missionaries and the IPHC World Missions home office; the region and IPHC World Missions Council - a very important role in our World Missions Ministries structure. Jeff and Kimberly have been married for a little over 12 years. They met in church. Before going to Costa Rica, they served for five years as Sunday school teachers, working with teens and young adults. Prior to that, they taught for two years at the church where they met. Jeff was involved with prison ministry for several years at a previous church. He has an Associate Degree in Biblical Science from Gulf Coast Seminary in Panama City, Florida. Kimberly has an Associate Degree in Science in Nursing from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jeff and Kimberly both serve as credentialed clergy members of the Heartland Conference. Jeff and Kimberly were mentored by Dan and Brenda and will excel in this expanded ministry role. We look forward to serving them and serving with them in the years to come. They exhibit tremendous Kingdom potential! PRAY FOR PASTOR JOHN TO BE RELEASED FROM PRISON BEFORE THE END OF 2020 ‘More Christians are suffering for their faith than at any other time in history’. You may even be surprised to learn that ‘Christian persecution around the world is one of the biggest human rights issues of this era’. Page 9
A N OT E F R O M T H E E XE C UT I VE D I R E C T O R Tim and Beth Salley’s recent newsletter, The Salley Chronicle, reminded us again of this fact and also made us aware that one of our IPHC’s pastors, Pastor John has been imprisoned unjustly. Here is the excerpt from The Salley Chronicle: We learned in early October that Pastor John has been detained unjustly by the Malaysian government. Pastor John and his family are from Myanmar and have UN refugee status as they reside in Malaysia seeking to be permanently resettled to a third country. Pastor John serves in the ministry to his fellow Myanmar refugees living in Malaysia. Pastor John works under the tutelage of one of our Malaysian churches. Pastor John has been detained in a Malaysian immigration detention center since March. Please pray with us that Pastor John will be released immediately. Pastor John’s wife, Grace, and his two kids are ok in Malaysia. During a Zoom service last week, Tim was able to encourage her and our church in Malaysia that has been covering this family. Please pray for the immediate release of Pastor John!! Thank you very much. Join us in interceding for Pastor John and other believers who are being detained and persecuted because of their profession of faith in Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of their lives. May righteousness prevail! IN CONCLUSION This is a Kairos or ‘opportune time’ for action for World Missions Ministries. We have a strong missionary force or ‘troops on the ground’ committed to making disciples. We are partnering with our national leaders and churches in the 99 countries that we have a ministry presence in, in unprecedented ways – just ask them. The COVID-19 pandemic has presented us with influence and opportunities like we have never known. Page 10
A N OT E F R O M T H E E XE C UT I VE D I R E C T O R Our time is now. We must move forward with prophetic vision and anointing. That New Thing is bursting forth in every region of our world. We are committed as never before to keeping the “Pentecostal fires burning, the gifts of the Spirit in operation, and the evangelization of the world as our ultimate goal”. Your partnership, however, is critical to our accomplishing the vision of Arise 2033. We cannot do it alone. You have always had a vision that extended beyond the U.S. Eternity will reveal the true impact that you have made in our quest for souls through the ministry imprint of the IPHC. As William Carey said, “The future is as bright as the promise of God.” This is the final issue of The Call for 2020. Thank you for your generosity and faith in our shared vision. We trust that you and yours have the happiest of holidays as we, like the wise men of old, celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, our soon coming King and Redeemer! I hope you know how truly grateful we are for your partnership. If you would ever like more information on the stewardship of your gift, please do not hesitate to let us know. “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 [ESV] Bishop Talmadge Gardner Executive Director, World Missions Ministries

The statistics in Africa show that women and girls are responsible for gathering water for their families. Their vision is to bring fresh clean water to communities. This not only ministers to the women but to the entire family. Physical water will meet the physical needs but also the water of life will change the spiritual need and affect the generations to come.

UPDATES GOD’S PROVISION IN TANZANIA
This year, one of my main concerns has been with my work and residence permits (Visa). I sent my application on Febrary 16, 2020. However, I did not hear anything on the matter until May 27, and the response was “Application rejected.” Through a dream in the night, the Lord showed up and gave me a letter. When I woke up, I wrote it down to send to the Ministry of Labour. On June 25, I sent this letter as an appeal to respond to the rejection letter. In August, I recieved my work and residence permits, praise the Lord. By Yasinta Mrema

CHURCH GROWTH MAURITUS & MADAGASCAR
Our church in Mauritius, called End Time Ministries International, is growing under the leadership of Rev. John Leopold. They have planted four branches since COVID and are still growing. Recently, they baptized 20 new converts in the Indian Ocean. The church in Antananarivo is doing exceptionally well too. Pastors Tojo and Deborah Ranaivoarimanana are great leaders who have a passion for lost souls. Recently, they had their first service in the New Life in Christ unfinished building. They had a great number of people in attendance. By Joe Delport

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT
GIVING TUESDAY BY DR. TERRY TRAMEL
Giving Tuesday came into being through the power of social media. It sprang from a movement to create an international day of charitable giving at the beginning of the holiday season. In the United States it is observed on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, following the more widely recognized annual shopping events known as “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday.” For those who participate, Giving Tuesday jump-starts the charitable season when many people begin to focus on their holiday and end-of-the-year giving. One source that remains a worthy recipient of such benevolence is World Missions Ministries of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. This year, we invite you to join with countless others in contributing to these ministries that exist to help fulfill our Lord’s Great Commission. In this year of the pandemic, many retailers are changing the dates and moving up their “Black Friday” sales. As followers of Christ, we should never engage in our personal spending first and then consider giving only if there is anything remaining afterward. Our question is, “Are we giving what is right or only what is left?” Therefore, in 2020 we challenge you to begin to think about your giving on November 24, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Starting then, we will be sharing daily ideas on our Facebook (https://www. facebook.com/iphcwmm) page of various mission ministries which need prayerful and financial support. These include: The Global Outreach Offering https://give.iphc.org/project/global-outreach-offering Missionary Support https://give.iphc.org/missionaries International Covid-19 Relief Fund https://give.iphc.org/project/covid19-international-relief-fund Mission Projects https://give.iphc.org/projects The Awakening Ministry https://give.iphc.org/project/the-awakening-1 Antioch Grants (GO Offering) https://give.iphc.org/project/global-outreach-offering Thank you for your consideration. STORIES FROM THE FIELD OPERATION TEACHING TOOLS LOOKING FORWARD BY KEVIN SNEED
Operation Teaching Tools (OTT) was launched by Rev. Rose Boyd in 1997. The ministry sought to provide resources and training for mobilizing local churches across the world for discipleship ministry. As OTT grew, the ministry expanded to support international Bible schools and offer digital distribution of discipleship resources. The original mission of OTT was to train, encourage, motivate, and equip spiritual leadership and lay-leaders in established churches and missions overseas in the ministry of evangelism and discipleship, with the emphases on providing discipleship training and resources that equip and mature the Body of Christ. I join many in the USA and around the world in expressing gratitude for Rose Boyd and her commitment to carry out this mission. She worked diligently to put training in the hands of workers, materials in the hands of disciples, and tools in the hands of leaders to support the work of local churches and ministries all over the world. That legacy must be carried forward. FUTURE MISSION Earlier this year, Rev. Boyd entrusted this ministry into our care. After serving in missions for over a decade, we have observed the need for discipleship and developed a passion for international Christian education. Since 2008, we have strived to further Bible school ministry through East Africa Bible College in Eldoret, Kenya. We have also sought to encourage local discipleship ministry through our work in the conferences of East Africa where we promoted various discipleship programs, especially Girls’ Ministry. Thus, as we take up the ministry of OTT, we see God expanding the work we have already been doing in East Africa. The foundation set in place by Rose Boyd is strong and we intend to build upon it in ways that honor the founding mission and further fulfills the plan of God for OTT. The mission of OTT going forward will be: to support international congregations and Bible schools in WMM by developing curriculum, distributing resources, and training leaders in order to make disciples among the nations. Page 18
STORIES FROM THE FIELD This mission recognizes that Christian education is vital for both the laity and the clergy. OTT has always had a heart to promote discipleship among the lay people of the IPHC. We also recognize that well trained pastors and ministers are key to successful discipleship. Therefore, we will focus on equipping our national works for discipleship and educational success in both local churches and Bible schools. We will carry out this mission in the following ways: LOCAL CHURCH DISCIPLESHIP I. Curriculum Development 1. Create curriculum for free distribution and duplication among IPHC international congregations that is biblically sound, doctrinally compliant, and culturally relevant. a. This curriculum will be for Sunday schools and other discipleship programs such as Girls’ Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Bible study, etc. b. We will create material ourselves and draw from qualified IPHC writers. 2. Prepare American curriculum for international audiences. a. The IPHC in the USA already has high quality material ready for local church use. We will work with the creators to adapt established curriculum for international use. b. We will also continue to collect lessons written and donated by IPHC pastors and teachers in the USA for cross-cultural use. II. Resource Distribution 1. Website Distribution a. We will maintain, promote, and enhance the OTT website: www.operationteachingtools.com b. We will create a resource catalog that will enable users to search for available curriculum based on various criteria such as topics and authors. 2. Digital Distribution a. We will utilize other forms of digital communication such as Whatsapp to distribute curriculum. b. We will create a mobile phone app for accessing OTT resources. Page 19
STORIES FROM THE FIELD
III. Leadership Training
1. Training local leaders in regions around the world for discipleship ministry. 2. Assisting national leaders in organizing seminars and conferences that emphasize discipleship. BIBLE SCHOOLS I. Curriculum Development 1. We will assist in developing a core curriculum for WMM Bible schools to use as models for training leaders. 2. We will develop individual courses for use in WMM Bible schools. II. Resource Distribution 1. We will make available various courses and materials designed by IPHC educators. 2. We will set up a USA based book depository to receive physical book donations. These books will be distributed among our Bible schools. However, this return to receiving physical resources will be limited. We will be very selective about the books and resources we receive, store, and distribute. Digital resources will remain the priority. III. Leadership Training 1. We will consult with WMM Bible schools and programs to enhance the ministry. 2. We will recruit those from the USA who are willing and able to teach shortterm in international Bible schools and connect them with schools that desire such teachers. 3. We will offer online experiences to connect international Bible school students with IPHC lecturers who cannot travel but still desire to teach internationally. CONCLUSION As OTT moves into the future, this ministry will continue to serve WMM with great impact and efficacy. By the help of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we intend to make that happen. We are thankful that this opportunity has come, but we also understand that challenges will arise on the horizon. We need help, and we welcome those who will pray for this ministry and support the work. Contact us today if you feel a calling to participate in any way with the work of OTT. Page 20
UNFINISHED PROJECTS Bibles for Pakistan Pakistan will become the most populous Muslim country in the world by 2030. There are over 400 unreached people groups in Pakistan. Despite the persecution that Christians face, our Pakistani national leaders and pastors are distributing the Word of God. It costs $8 to provide one Bible. The goal of our Pakistan IPHC leadership is to distribute 20,000 Bibles by the end of 2023. BIBLES FOR PAKISTAN
