Spending some time at home over Christmas this year means that we can immerse ourselves in some good old fashioned homemade decorating! Most of us have been budgeting a little bit harder through 2020, so combining saving with family fun is definitely the way to go. The most important part of decorating, as we all know, is deciding our theme for the season. These decoration ideas are easy to tie in with whichever theme you and your family pick. ORANGE HANGING GARLAND: This DIY is not only beautiful to look at but so rewarding to all the senses! The process of making this garland is going to make your home smell just divine. Begin by thinly slicing oranges (around 1-2cm thick) before gently patting off excess juice with a paper
towel. Place the slices on a large baking tray and sprinkle with spices of your choice (we recommend cinnamon and nutmeg). Allow to dehydrate on a very low heat in your oven for several hours. When they’re completely dried out, thread through any form of rope you have and tie in any extras such as holly leaves, twigs etc for a more rustic look. Finish by finding the perfect place in your home to hang them and enjoy through the season!
