Welcome to the Silver Spoon A dream come true.... In 1990, I came to the wonderful United Stares, not knowing a bit of English and filled with many dreams and aspirations. I had come from a small town in Egypt, just hoping and praying one day I would be able to move to the states and open my own business. Now many years later, I can say everything is finally coming together and my dreams are coming true. I have always had a passion for working in restaurants. I worked at Stanley’s Eatery in the Holiday Inn for many years. Finally, with all my experience, dedication and determination I have opened my own restaurant, “The Silver Spoon” The name of the restaurant is dedicated to my brother who owned a restaurant in New Jersey that he called the Silver Spoon. He operated his Silver Spoon for 14 years and became very ill and decided to move back to Egypt. My brother was a strong man and I felt he deserved it. Even though it took many years for my dream to come true, I appreciate every part of it. I definitely wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth so I had to work extremely hard for it I want to thank my friends, and everyone who helped me out at the Holiday Inn. Without them, this wouldn’t be possible. Also, thank you for coming today and please continue to be part of my dream
