DOLLHOUSE BOOK
TAMARA’S HOUSE Pascale Debert Dollhouse Book €29, 29.5X21cm, 4 pages with double foldout
A stylish travel-dollhouse that children can take everywhere and set up instantly!
Ages 5+ hough it looks like one, Tamara’s House is not a book! Indeed, each of its four pages has three folding sections that, once unfolded and set up, form the walls of a four-room house. The pocket contains twelve boards of pre-cut furniture and other elements that are ready to be set up for decorating the house. The different pieces fit together easily thanks to small notches. All you have to do is follow the instructions to furnish the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living room in a few minutes. Once disassembled, the little pieces can be stored in the pocket until later so that they won’t be lost. Posters and objects hanging on the wallpapered walls give hints about who lives there: a Russian ballet dancer. Inside the pocket, a little diary tells us the story of its mysterious owner. The decoration is radical kitsch: the flowers, dolphins and sparkling colours will enchant children, while the aesthetic references won’t fail to entertain their parents.

Ages 10+ he North Wind is the biggest hat thief of all time. He has created quite a collection. One Monday morning, he finds himself prisoner in the bowler hat of Mr. Magritte. In exchange for his liberty, he’s prepared to give away his entire collection of fantastic headgear: the transatlantic hat, the Mamamouchi, the Turkish and crazy hat, D’Artagnan’s hat, and even the precious veiled Lacrima Bibi!
A lively and modern evocation of what it is to be a city schoolgirl today.
T
A dive into the heart of a crazy hat shop run by a mischievous North Wind! Frédéric Clément is the creator of the famous Magazin zinzin (The Merchant of Marvels and the Peddler of Dreams).
hey are 4 girls ages 8 to 10, living in different neighbourhoods, different family environments and going to different schools. But they're friends. We get to know each of these four young girls through excerpts from their diaries, where they talk about their families, what they like, what they fear, and the big and small events that make their everyday lives throughout the four seasons. We stop in front of their houses and, like curious passers-by, we witness scenes from their private lives. We can lift the window-flaps to uncover even more details about the interiors, where the stories of their lives play out. This is Nine Antico's first album for young readers. A young illustrator well-known within the world of alternative comics in France, she has now created an album that is off the beaten path, magnificently written and illustrated.

n his new work Uwe Ommer, famous for his family portraits from all over the world, chooses to focus on the children of these families. Each child guides us through his personal album, his notebook of secrets, opening up his world to us: he introduces himself, tells us about his daily routines and his dreams, and offers us anecdotes and memories. In their own words, Ahmed, Hâ, Puja and the others tell us about their school, describe the local architecture, evoke their national history, their village festivals, farming, the local economy, in short, all about their culture.

’m Gus. Actually, my name is Gustave, all because old ugly names were in style the day I was born. I would have preferred to be called Brad, Bob, or even Brian, but I got stuck with Gustave.”

“Gus, a kid of our times, tells stories and philosophizes, sparing nothing and no one. Claudine Desmarteau lends him her concerns, her drollness, and her many witticisms. A heavy dose of anti-dullness.” Télérama, Martine Laval
A magnificent heroine prisoner of a silent and vertiginous town.
One clever kid’s incisive, uncompromising look at society today.
ver since the accident, I don’t remember anything. All I know is that my name is Anna. And I'm told my parents have disappeared. A young man with pale blue eyes is by my side wherever I go. I don’t know him but he seems familiar. Like Jacob, the butler without arms who takes care of me but doesn't answer any of my questions. Everything is white, beautiful, and light in the city. Yet I feel like something isn’t right. I feel I’m in danger. I need to remember.
