I Have a Job! As a teen, I wasn’t all that inspired by the manual labor of artisans. But that was before. Before our time, when overeducated graduates can’t find work. For a year I followed young apprentices at a crucial moment in their career: the preparation for the Olympiades des Métiers, or WorkSkills in English. This international competition to honor the best professionals was created in 1950, and today more than fifty countries participate in it. I must admit that when I began my research, the word «Olympiades» called to mind a wacky image vaguely inspired by the Olympic games.
