Our childcare department cared for 230 students, while our Youth and Adult programs saw more than 2,700 participants. A huge “Thank You” also goes out to our instructors, coaches, custodial and kitchen staff for all their hard work this summer to help provide these amazing opportunities to our community. We are thankful for the support to Community Education. There is no doubt in our minds that this is truly a special place to be, so thank you for all your support. Annandale Community Education is continually growing. We see the needs of our families and community members that we will continue to serve. We will provide a wide variety of offerings for you. In this Beginners course, you will learn the ancient Chinese art of T’ai
You will start by doing the first 1/3 of the long form of the Yang Cheng Fu system of T’ai Chi. This solo exercise can be practiced anywhere and has multiple benefits for the practitioner. You can increase your improve your muscle flexibility and strength, gain better circulation, and achieve better balance. The slow, gentle movements of T’ai Chi and its related deep breathing motions have been shown to reduce the effects of stress and lower blood pressure as well. energy meridians of your body. In this introductory session, you can movements called Qigong (pronounced "chee gung") to help remove these blockages. PuppyTraining
This six-week class is for all breeds of puppies, ages 8 weeks to 4 months old. Each class starts with 15 minutes of puppy play and socialization. Throughout the six-weeks, we work on basic obedience including leash walking, sit, down and stay. We address issues as needed such as biting, house breaking, crate training, etc. Classes are held indoors in a heated/AC facility with matted floors. Puppies should have their first set of shots including first Parvo/distemper and Bordatella (optional).
Young handlers are welcome accompanied by a parent.
