Legacy Equestrian Horse Day Camp - NEW!
Ages 5 & Up
Come experience the Magic of Horses! Legacy Equestrian proudly offers horse day-camps.
Campers learn about all things horse - No experience needed!
The day begins with caring for all the animals on the farm. We have cows, bunnies, kitties, and of course many horses of all sizes! We also have several babies expected this spring and summer. Legacy campers learn about the responsibility of caring for animals, as well as compassion, patience, empathy, problem-solving, partnership, and friendship. We work with all levels of riders, teach skills, and will explore several different styles of riding. Riders learn about horse body language, tack, grooming, and of course riding on our patient and welltrained horses. Riders are taught about balance, timing, and how to communicate with their horse.
Pack a lunch and drink, helmets provided, or bring your own (horse) helmet. Dress for farm activities: long pants and closed toed shoes with a heel.

Summer 2025 Annandale Youth Training with DAY ONE Sports Performance
Grades 5 - 6
Day One will be adding programming for 5th and 6th grade athletes.
With the main focus of teaching these athletes how to move and control their bodies and start getting used to resistance training. Research shows athletes of this age group can start to improve their athletic ability and starting lowering injury risk through proper training and movement.
Parents shouldn’t expect their athlete in this group to be lifting barbells and dumbbells every day as our older athletes will be doing. Our focus will be to move, compete, and learn how to get to that goal. Starting with bands, medballs, and bodyweight exercises with the goal of progressing by the end of summer into resistance training. These sessions will also have a lot more guided competition and what we refer to as “Performance Play”.
This style of training allows athletes to compete and play using movements and concept that will carry over to athletic fields later down the road.
*No workouts June 19th, 30th, July 1st, 3rd
Athletes will meet in the high school cafeteria and coaches will direct them from there.
If a child is late they either need to go to the gym or track to find the rest of the athletes.

Four Star Parent Aware Rated Program.
Our program values licensed Early Childhood Teachers and trained teacher assistants in every classroom. We have an onsite special education team including speech, OT and PT. Our Early Childhood educators work to ensure a seamless transition to kindergarten.
WE BELIEVE PRESCHOOLERS LEARN…
By being active at this age. Classrooms are set up for learning with distinct areas and a variety of materials so that your child can make choices, create, explore and take responsibility for their own work. We understand that no two children are exactly the same. Our classroom routines let children learn at their own pace.
WHAT WILL MY CHILD LEARN?
At Annandale Public Schools, our mission is to achieve educational excellence and to inspire a life-long passion for learning. Our preschool is designed to create excitement around education for your child and provide a foundation for lifelong learning. Our curriculum is a balanced approach to all social-emotional and academic areas. We focus on personalized learning for our children. Lessons are designed around your child's skills to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
IS TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE FOR MY CHILD?
Preschool transportation is available for a fee per month pending class section and location of pick up and drop off. Children must be age 4 by September 1st, 2025 to ride the bus. Bus schedules must be consistent for the entire year - same day each week!
Students getting on the bus in the AM or Mid-day must have a parent walk them to the bus stop or the bus and put them on the bus or give a wave to the driver to recognize them. If getting on at a daycare we understand that daycares cannot leave the home, just a wave from the front would be greatly appreciated.
When students arrive at school they will be escorted off the bus by an EC paraprofessional to their classroom. Students will also be placed on the bus hand to hand by the EC paraprofessional.
Transportation Fees Per Month
Check out the Annandale Preschool Transportation page for more information.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND PRESCHOOL?
If you need financial assistance, please reach out to our office at 320.274.3058. We have funding available via Pathway Dollars.

FREE! Early Childhood Screening
Are you planning to attend Kindergarten in the fall of 2025? You must be screened to attend! Call to make an appointment.
Who should be screened?
All Annandale School District children who are 3.5 - 5 years old and not currently enrolled in kindergarten. We recommend you complete your child’s screening at 3.5 years.

Your child will have a developmental check of their cognitive, motor, speech, and social / emotional skills reviewed. In addition, children have their vision, hearing, height, weight, health and immunization history checked.
Screening is an opportunity offered free to your family to assist in identifying any concerns or problems at an early age.
*Early intervention allows children to be ready for kindergarten. Families may be referred for educational/community services.
To schedule an appointment call Dana Pearson at 320.274.3058 ext. 4191 to schedule your appointment.

The school census will be used only for school business and will be handled in a confidential manner.
