JOURNEYOFLOVE(PT.2)

By Georgia Dick '29

“Good morning, your highness,” Clara, my lady in waiting, says. My mind was still entangled in Thomas’s some sort of a ‘kiss’. I kept drifting to his blue eyes and how they made me feel warm, safe, and cherished.

“NO!” I exclaim.

“Yes, your highness. Is there something wrong? Is it the dress? Oh I am so-”

“No. No no. So sorry, I was thinking of something else. Pardon me.”

“Oh, alright then. I will leave you to it.”

This was strange. The clothes Clara had put on the bed were nice and elegant. Usually I wear one of my more comfortable outfits.

“Oh well,” I say to myself, thinking nothing of it. I step out of my room and see Thomas. I shove him to the side and walk past him rolling my eyes. He is nothing other than a piece of trash… that weird tingle comes back to me though. I try to make it go away but it won’t.

As soon as I get to breakfast I see my mom and my dad sitting across from each other, looking at me with a death stare. I don't feel hungry at all.

During breakfast no one breaks the silence other than when one of the maids trips. All the plates fall to the ground. My parents would correct this immediately but they didn’t. Something is off…Why was Thomas here? The silence….

“ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!”

To be continued…
