PRESIDENT’S KORNER

By Liz Poniatowski

Hello everyone! On September 30th we swore in four newly appointed members to the board and we also filled officer vacancies. Your four new board members are Lisa Bellanca, Tracy Morgan, Kathy Williamson and Meg Valentino. The newly elected Officers are Liz Poniatowski as President, Meg Valentino as Vice President and Tracy Morgan as Secretary. With these vacancies being filled we now have a full HOA Board of Directors! We are very excited to get down to business and to be able to work towards making Del Tura fun once again.

COVID has put a halt to a lot of our activities and we are trying to get back in the swing of things to enable us to socialize once again. Last month the Welcome Committee hosted a get together, we had our first birthday cupcake celebration and we celebrated Halloween with our annual golf cart parade. That was just the beginning of us getting back to normal. This month the Del Tura ‘artists’ will sell their goods at our craft fair that will be held in the overflow parking area on Saturday, 7th November beginning at 10am. Then we’re all looking forward to a fabulous laser light show on Saturday, 14 November to support

You can now send your suggestions to your HOA office at the following email address: DTHOASuggestionBox@gmail.com.

With the current pandemic situation and everyone not readily having access to suggestion boxes in the Starlight Ballroom and the HOA Office the HOA Board created the new email address to make it easy for you to send your suggestions to us! Each Suggestion MUST have your NAME, STREET ADDRESS and PHONE NUMBER on it along men’s prostate cancer month…we’ll donate our money and get a wonderful show in return! Take a look through this issue of the Tower and check out all the fliers! There is so much going on in Del Tura and we couldn’t do it without all our volunteers. Yes, we still must adhere to the social distancing and mask wearing but that is what is keeping this community safe. Once Hometown America opens the clubhouse we can once again start playing our card games, mahjong, board games, and having our monthly HOA meetings. It’s not easy being separated from all of you but we, your board of directors, are doing the best we can to continue to support our members in everything we do.

The Board wishes all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. Please stay safe. Wear your mask, wash your hands, and practice social distancing so we can all meet again and enjoy each other’s company. Make sure you completed the email form so you continue to get the most up to date, accurate information on all HOA happenings in Del Tura, join or renew your HOA membership, it’s only $12 a year! And check out the website to see what’s happening! Deltura-HOA. com. Until next month… Stay well and stay happy! with your suggestion that you would like the HOA Board to address with Hometown America. Along with the suggestion you should write a brief solution to help us address your concerns more quickly. You will be notified upon receipt, when your suggestion is brought before the BOD, and what actions will be taken with it. Please let us know what your concerns are so we can make Del Tura our continuing Paradise!

WELCOME COMMITTEE MEET & GREET SOCIAL!

By Audrey Martin

Wear your mask ---stay healthy---and we will meet again on December 7th ---same time ---same place ---and they still stayed to mingle and chat!

What a wonderful couple of hours we had to “meet and greet” our new residents and to see so many people in the ballroom. Hopefully, we will be able to attend our parties and dances again soon.

As the new residents introduced themselves it was interesting to hear from where they moved. New York, Indiana, Kansas, Ft. Myers, Maine,

Illinois, and New Jersey were the winners with the most attendees. So glad they all found us! The greetings from our GM Fred Taylor and co-chairs Gail Hodge and Kathy Williamson made all 46 guests feel welcome!

The frosting on the cake was the great music provided by Dave Adams and Jim Stenzel along with the snacks and table atmosphere making us look forward to our next gathering of new residents of the year 2020.

The enthusiasm and excitement of our guests made us happy they are our
