Best wishes for all of us Hidup Mahasiswa!
Foreword
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
As a college student establishment, Ikatan Senat Mahasiswa Kedokteran Indonesia (ISMKI), also known as the Indonesian Medical Student Executive Board Association (IMSEBA), is essentially a cadreization organization and movement of Indonesian medical students consisting of 89 institutions from Sabang to Merauke. Medical students as citizens, who played an active role in the historical independence struggle and movement since the STOVIA era, are aware of their rights and obligations as well as their roles and responsibilities to the nation and mankind, as professional academic people based on Faith and Taqwa (creed).
ISMKI has a role as a home and unifier for medical students, as a forum to make a real contribution to the advancement of development and health services in Indonesia, as a means of student movement in studying and analyzing problems that exist in society, especially in the world of health. Based on the principle that that later we will all become colleagues as a doctor, none other than our goal is to advance the health of Indonesia. Departing from this, ISMKI has a goal to harmonize every institution and every medical student that we all have the same abilities and aspirations for better health. There is no longer any thought that students of one institution are better than students of other institutions because all ISMKI medical students are a family which means we are all part of each other towards a HARMONI-ous bond. And today, with all good intentions, I and the ISMKI management in 2022/2023, who God willing, are the best people from their delegated institutions, will maintain this commitment, none other than maximizing benefits, making improvements by providing innovations for ISMKI towards comprehensive health development.

We will get to know more closely with Kak Alief. Let's find out what Kak Alief thinks about ISMKI and his plans for ISMKI. So, check this out!
Hello, Kak Alief. It is an honour to get to know you more closely. Thank you for your time. First of all, please tell us more about yourself!
My name is Mohammad Alief Iqra. Just call me Alief. I was born in Makassar, Sulawesi, on the 19th of June 1999. Now I still live in Makassar, although I used to attend a dormitory boarding school in Bogor, West Java. And yes, I am a Buginese.
Surely you have many interesting stories when you are still in school. Can you share some of your stories and experiences?
During school, I have many extraordinary experiences. I like to participate in extracurricular activities provided by the school. When I was in elementary school, I took a pencak silat extracurricular to train my martial arts and I've also been the best graduate. Then when I was in junior high school, I became more active in organizations. I joined the scout organization and served as a team leader, was active in paskibra activities, and became the student council president. I ventured to study high school in Java and had the opportunity to enter accelerated and international classes. In addition to being active in academics, I am also active in the student council and have the opportunity to be the chairman of the student council. I also had the opportunity to represent my school in the provincial computer OSK.
What do you do now? Tell me more about being the president of ISMKI!
I am currently studying as a clinical medical student and at the same time I am entrusted as the Secretary General of ISMKI in charge of connecting all medical faculties in Indonesia.
Can you tell us about ISMKI?
ISMKI is the oldest medical student advocacy and policy organization in Indonesia. The aim of ISMKI is to make academic professionals responsible and unite all medical students in Indonesia. To carry out this mission, ISMKI must continue to exist and adapt to the times in carrying out a grand design based on the principle of Hasanudin's 1981 declaration.
Say, do you and your squad in ISMKI have a name to call yourselves with?
The name of the ISMKI cabinet for the 2022/2023 period is HARMONI. Harmony itself is taken from the words Humanist, Adaptive, Responsive, Modern, Optimistic, Nationalist, and Inclusive. The name Harmoni means collaborating to achieve the common goals and objectives of ISMKI.
As a General Secretary, surely you have your own plans for IMSEBA. Care to explain the general idea of those plans?
As secretary general of ISMKI, I will develop ISMKI by increasing the extensification of ISMKI in the development role, increasing the spirit of co-operation, and building harmonious bonds towards Indonesia Society 5.0 by participating in the development of SDGs and RPJMN. I will optimize ISMKI's internal relations with the principle of collegial collectivity and make ISMKI a student facilitator in carrying out the Iron of Stock role.
Onto the next question, how do you envision IMSEBA to be in the future? What do you wish IMSEBA will achieve under your leadership?
My hope for ISMKI is that ISMKI can be useful for all medical students in Indonesia by actualizing the anxiety and health problems that surround us. Bismillah tawakaltu la hawla wa la kuta ila billah.
Finally, are there any messages you'd like to convey to our readers? Either as yourself or as the General Secretary of IMSEBA, the choice is yours.
There are several messages I want to convey to all readers. My message is that being human is a gift and we are young people who will bring about change in this world. Therefore never stop dreaming, dream as high as the sky because if we fall we will fall among the stars. Never give up, we must believe in our own capacity and hold fast to the principles of our life.Hopefully the readers can be even better. Well, it’s completely our explanation about Bang Alief Iqra and ISMKI Harmoni. Hope it helps the reader to get close with us and don’t forget to share this to all people around you. We are happy to accept all criticism and suggestions from the reader. Let’s be unity in diversity, Let’s spread spirit and love each other then create this relationship better in this world. Stay safe, stay healthy.

ENDEMIC TRANSITION Tuesday, 8 March 202 The Government through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transportation has set : Domestic Travelers (PPDN) who have received the second and third doses of vaccination (booster) are NOT REQUIRED TO SHOW NEGATIVE RESULTS OF THE RT-PCR TEST or rapid antigen test.
From the editorial perspective, the government is slowly easing activity restrictions.
But, will we be ready ? dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, M.Epid (Government Spokesperson for COVID-19 Vaccination of the Indonesian Ministry of Health) said, a number of indicators must be achieved so that Indonesia can enter an endemic condition.
Come on, let's discuss each indicator!
Point I Transmission Situation Still Not Controlled The level of community transmission is an indicator that determines the picture of an area's cases. Has Indonesia reached the Ministry of Health indicator that is at Level 1 (lowest)? Point 2 Vaccination Coverage March 15, 2022 Dose 2 73%, Booster vaccine 7.18% The booster achievement is still low. A booster is needed because the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine will decrease for up to 6 months after the second dose. In Fact... NOT REACHED
On the other hand, the transmission capability of the BA.2 variant increased by 33% compared to BA.1 (Lyngse, F.P., et al, 2022) Several countries are known to experience an increase in the number of cases of the BA.2 variant, namely: • Africa South (86%) • Denmark (45%) • United States (11%). If the government does not immediately complete primary and booster vaccinations, it will increase the potential for a spike in cases significantly. Point 3 Implementation of 3T Insufficient Testing. Tracing, and Treatment or 3T is an indicator component of the government's response capacity. Fact... NOT REACHED
#Expert word dr. Dicky Budiman, M.Sc.PH Indonesian Epidemiologist from Griffith University. Australia Like our eyes to viruses. Without adequate tests we cannot see where the virus is or where it is headed. This makes the potential for new variants to be large." "Indicators issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Health are LESS STRICT"
Prof. dr. Zubairi Djoerban, Sp.PD-KHOM Head of the IDI COVID-19 3. Handling Task Force "Must be monitored. You can't directly imitate other countries." "There is a weekly spike in cases in countries that have relaxed community activities (opening borders, removing quarantines, PCR testing, and not wearing masks) such as the Netherlands (80%), the UK (53%), and Switzerland (47%)" Prof. dr. Zubairi Djoerban, Sp.PD-KHOM Head of the IDI COVID-19 Handling Task Force.
Indonesia Has Not Meet T he Easing Indicator According to dr. Dicky Budiman, M.Sc.PH., there are several specific indicators that need to be achieved before easing community activities, what are they? 1. The coverage of dose 2 vaccination is 90% and dose 3 vaccine is 50% of the population. Reflecting on the current vaccination data in Indonesia, comprehensive national coverage is still needed to build community immunity (immunity in at least 70% of the population). 2. Virus reproduction rate (Rt) must be <1%. Reproduction number is defined as the number of infected people from one sick person. Meanwhile, according to data from the Ministry of Health, as of March 7, the Rt figure in the eight major islands of Indonesia is still on average 1.09.
The positivity rate <1% and the national hospital occupancy rate <10% The need for strict standards that can reflect the number of cases and response capacity carried out. But in fact, the positivity rate is still at 13.71% and the hospital occupancy rate is still 29%. 4. Death rate below 1% or <5 cases per 1,000,000 population or 5 per 100,000 population. The death rate as of March 15, 2022 decreased to 0.73%. However, if the government's response capacity is not sufficient, there is a possibility that the number of deaths will be much higher than recorded.
So, is Indonesia ready? This policy is considered quite risky, because... 1. The rate of transmission of cases has not been controlled so that it is prone to spikes, reflecting the number of confirmed cases (71.49 per 100,000 population) and the positivity rate (13.49%) which is still far from the indicator 2. Transmission capability the BA.2 variant is up to 33% and 330 cases have been detected in Indonesia. This policy of easing social activities MUST BE STEPS AND NEED TO BE MONITORED PERIODICALLY .
HEALTH PROTOCOL DOESN'T SLACK!
What is HEROIC? HEROIC is acronym for HIV Prevention for Women and Child. HEROIC was held to commemorate National Memorial Day of HIV/AIDS for Women and Child on March 10th.
Why is this HEROIC program more focused on HIV disease? People with HIV usually get bad labeled from public. With HEROIC Program, we hope that public awareness of HIV and what cause HIV will increase and the bad stigma can be removed immediately.
Why is this HEROIC program focused on women and children? The reason why HEROIC focus on women and childs is women with HIV are considered wilder and worse than man with HIV. With this program, we hope that negative stigma from the society can be removed immediately.
Who is involved in this HEROIC program?
There were volunteers from 21 Institution in ISMKI Region2 and all Region 2 Community Empowerment members.
What are the difficulties and obstacles during the preparation and implementation of this HEROIC event?
The difficulty felt was that the preparation time was very short and there were also problems in determining the place. Towards the day of the event, the venue had to change due to a space rental issue. In addition, the problem of short preparation time is also a problem because it makes the event organizers very busy and in a hurry to prepare for the event.
How is the process of implementing this Heroic event? The implementation of this Heroic event went well and smoothly. Many interesting things can be obtained from this HEROIC event, for example, interacting directly with HIV sufferers, meeting with the general public to provide information about HIV, and conducting free rapid HIV tests to the community.
Heroic
8 – 12 March 2022 Jakarta/Bandung
How was the preparation process for this Heroic event? The preparation process for this HEROIC event took place in a fairly narrow time, which was only about 1 month. This preparation was carried out in a short time because the date of the National HIV Commemoration Day for Women and Girls is only 1 month away from the inauguration of ISMKI staff. However, this preparation went very well due to the good cooperation between the volunteers and the CE staff of Region Two. Congratulations on this preparation, many new things were learned, for example, taking care of an event permit to the police.
What is your wish/message for the Heroic event that has been done? Hopefully in the future the minds of the Indonesian people will be more open and will know more and more that HIV disease is not always related to sexual relations and drugs, but can be caused by many reasons and the negative stigma of the Indonesian people about HIV disease can be reduced or even disappeared.
Is there an interesting story from the implementation of this Heroic program? According to Kak Fauzan, an interesting and at the same time worrying story happened during a rapid HIV test during a health campaign. At that time, one of the participants in the rapid HIV test came to the committee before being tested and said that he only wanted to do a test and he had never done anything like drugs and free sex. This is of course very concerning because it shows the views and stigma of the community towards HIV disease.
