FIA CONFERENCE DELEGATES’ CHALLENGE
FIA CONFERENCE DELEGATES’ CHALLENGE
The FIA Conference Delegates’ Challenge is organised in parallel of the FIA Conference. This Delegates’ Challenge gives all its meaning to the theme “Stronger Together” as the national delegations will need to bring together at least one Mobility Club delegate and one ASN delegate to be able to enroll. The Challenge will therefore be an innovative way to gather delegates from a same country whatever the nature of their Club. If a country only counts ACN delegates or one delegate, a member of another FIA Club of their region will be authorised to complete the team. Each national delegation will have the opportunity to be crowned as the winner of the Challenge after having participated in three activities relating to Mobility and Motor Sport: •
The FIA Smart Driving Challenge will assess the delegates’ habits at the wheel when it comes to safe and eco-friendly driving. Its start and finish area will be in front of the Conference Centre. Delegates will test their smart driving skills on a 15min-long course in the heart of Sun City, accompanied by a trained smart driving professional instructor missioned by the AASA. As they cover the route, their driving will be evaluated, and they will earn points according to the FIA Smart Driving Challenge scoring system, powered by the Challenge’s telematics partner Enerfy. The sum of the highest scores of the Mobility Delegates and the Sport Delegates of a country will define the national delegation score. There is no limitation on number of attempts but a delegation will have to use a least two different cars. Note that a dedicated Workshop on the FIA Smart Driving Challenge is held on Thursday 30 April from 11:00 to 12:30.
•
The e-Kart Time Attack will require delegates to focus on the curves of the track drawn for the occasion underneath the Conference Centre. Once again, delegations will be ranked according to the cumulation of their fastest Mobility and Sport Delegates’ laps. A Time Attack session will last 6 minutes. There is no limitation on number of attempts as long as every participant can have at least one try.
•
The Gran Turismo Sport Time Attack will compare the delegates’ skills on the Catalunya GP Track at the wheel of Gr3. Race Cars. A Time Attack session will last 10 minutes, and the cumulation of the best Mobility and Sport Delegates’ time laps will define the overall delegation ranking. There is no attempt limitation as long as every participant can have at least one try.
To take part in the FIA Conference Delegates’ Challenge, delegates must get their Participation Card at the Conference Welcome Desk. This card will feature their personal participant number and allow them to book their time slots.
