Chicago has everything that makes Broadway and the West End great – a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz; one showstopping song after another, including Razzle Dazzle, Cell Block Tango and All That Jazz; the sexiest, most sensational dancing; and a sharply sophisticated set which incorporates the 11-piece orchestra. Chicago is a stunning spectacle full of social satire, intrigue, love, betrayal, rivalry and friendship, a pageant of music and dance that adroitly shifts between reality and fantasy, as Roxie Hart’s world moves from prison to the courtroom to the stage.

A Forgotten World Adventure – Rail Carting
Exclusive Access onto Mystic Mokoia Island
Tuesday 9th October DAY ONE
Friday 12th October
Join us as we meander our way down to Taumarunui for our Forgotten World Adventure Tour. We’ll pass through Putaruru stopping for morning tea, then continuing onto Taupo for Lunch. From here we’ll make our way around pristine Lake Taupo and then to the thriving metropolis of Taumarunui right in the heart of the King Country where we will stay for our accommodation over the next few days.
We mostly know this Island from the romantic love story of Hinemoa, but if land could talk, what a story it would have to tell (you'll have to settle for a tour guide). There is much, much more to this Icon. From its inception thousands of years ago, Mokoia Island has had a colourful history. Lusted after for its location or attacked in retaliation for wrongdoings, many battles have taken place on the island with much blood shed over the years. In fact, one of the large rock formations bears testament to this with scarring from bullets used for executions. Seize the opportunity with us and gain permitted access onto this mystic mountain in the middle of arguably, our most famous lake. Stopping along the way for morning tea and lunch.
Wednesday 10th October DAY TWO Today we will rail cart from Taumarunui to Whangamomona enjoying the day on the rails and completing the Twenty Tunnel East Tour. The rail carts await you at the old Taumarunui Station ready for your journey down the line to the Republic of Whangamomona to be met by the shuttle back to our accommodation. The Stratford-Okahukura railway line is rich in history, enterprise and tenacity. The history of this iconic railway captures the spirit of the people who opened up New Zealand’s remotest areas. The carts are self-driven very easy, as there is a brake and a go pedal; of course, no steering is involved. All the tours have a guide cart in the front that is with the group the full trip. Each cart has a guide book with points of interest marked for each station. The guide stops the group to give informative talks along the way.
TOUR CODE: ND-MOKOIA VIP MEMBER PRICE: $195. Non Member Price: $278.57 Includes: Transport, Cruise, Tour and Meal as listed.
Thursday 11th October DAY THREE After a nice breakfast, we’ll make our way back to Tauranga we will take a different route this time through to Pureroa Forest, Lake Whakamaru, Mangakino and Tokoroa stopping for morning tea and lunch along the way.
TOUR CODE: NM-RAILCART VIP MEMBER PRICE: $1110. Non Member Price: $1586 $250 Deposit required on booking. Balance of $860 by 9th of September 2018.

Arriving mid-afternoon, we will bus the short distance to our seaside accommodation then out for tea.
Sunday 14th April DAY THREE Just after midnight on 14 November 2016, most of central New Zealand woke following a 7.8 magnitude earthquake 60km south west of the coastal town of Kaikōura. Generating the strongest ground acceleration ever recorded in New Zealand and caused widespread damage throughout the districts of Hurunui, Marlborough and Kaikōura. With close to a million cubic metres of rock and material falling onto the coastal transport corridor, Kaikōura and the surrounding rural communities were isolated - all roads and the rail network in and out of the area were damaged and closed by the slips. This major event disrupted the lives of many: homes were
damaged, businesses were closed, farms left with damaged land and no access to markets for their goods, and communities devastated by the loss of trade from passing traffic and tourists. Today we will be joined on the bus by local resident and business owner Ben Judge who will explain first hand events of that day he will point out major geological changes and provide an insight into living post quake around the region. Along the way we will stop for lunch and return mid afternoon to our accommodation.
Monday 15th April DAY FOUR We have an exciting day in store, we will be armed with sonar rather than the cold steel harpoon of centuries gone by. Kaikoura's whale watching is one of New Zealand's deservedly famous attractions. Whale Watch is the original guided cruise company to take trips out along the Kaikoura coast and view these magnificent whales and other amazing marine life. Just offshore from the town of Kaikoura a deep undersea canyon attracts an extraordinary abundance of marine life, the most famous being the Sperm Whale. As the Whale watching capital of New Zealand, every Whale Watch tour is a unique experience and the sightings vary. Giant Sperm Whales are the stars of the show and year-round residents. A typical Whale Watch tour may encounter New Zealand Fur Seals, pods of Dusky Dolphins and the endangered Wandering Albatross. Depending on the season you may also see migrating Humpback Whales, Pilot Whales, Blue Whales and Southern Right Whales. Kaikoura often hosts the worlds largest dolphin the Orca and is home to the worlds smallest and rarest marine dolphin the Hectors. Our expedition will take 3.5hrs and will be cancelled if the weather is not suitable. We have a plan B up our sleeve if this is the case. Once we return from a great few hours on the water we will return and spend a relaxing afternoon exploring around Kaikoura and walking some of the easy coastal walks available.
Tuesday 16th April DAY FIVE After breakfast we travel from Kaikoura up the coast, watching for the many seals dotted along this rugged coastline. Crossing the Hapuku River we will make our way inland up the stunning Puhi Puhi River Valley, the Seaward Kaikoura Mountains will stand above us, as we make our way up the valley to Puhi Puhi Station. Willowbrook Private Country Estate Thursday 16th May WOW we have been waiting for an opportunity to visit this unforgettable property, we have watched its progression from plans posted online, to now having the privilege to be guided through this Private Country Estate with Georgian Manor House. Beginning with the purchase of 30acres which had once been an apple orchard. Owners Peter and David, together set to work drafting plans for the house and architectural features as well as creating a plan for the landscape gardens which were designed in the manner of the 18th century English style. For 7 years, they spent all their spare time setting out the gardens and landscaping, with the help of devoted friends. They have created a collection of stunning themed gardens and outdoor rooms, blended harmoniously with the surrounding countryside. After 3 years of construction, the jewel of Willowbrook – The Manor – was finally completed in 2016. We will enjoy a lunch and guided tour of this Private Estate.

Omaka provides a worldclass destination for the appreciation of historic aircraft of the WW1 era and recently added WW2 exhibition. After we have absorbed all there is to see, we will head for lunch at St Claire’s Vineyard. As well as being an award-winning vineyard it happens to be Marlborough’s favourite wedding venue, with sweeping views of the Richmond Mountains in the distance and great restaurant I’m sure we will have a lovely afternoon. I’m sure we won’t require a big dinner tonight so an option to travel into a local restaurant will be available for anyone still peckish.

Visiting isolated homesteads in secluded bays, mussel farms and meeting the people of Marlborough Sounds. Stop at the gannet colony to watch parent birds tending to their chicks. On the way home, we are often able to stop off at Jacobs Bay and go ashore. This will be another great day out viewing a pristine part of our beautiful country.
Friday 24th May DAY FIVE Today we head for home, say goodbye to Picton, a special slice of paradise and head to Nelson enjoying the beautiful scenery as we go stopping along the way for a quick cup of tea before our flight north.
