Lt. G 's Message WHAT'S SWINGING GREEN MONKEYS?? Luisa Ximena Arellano, and I serve as your Division 13 North Lieutenant Governor for the new 2020-2021 term! Some fun facts about me My name is
include that I am currently a Junior at Artesia High School and proudly served as my home club’s president for the past two terms. One cool fact is that I actually am Artesia High School’s first Lieutenant Governor and am proud to be opening doors for future candidates. I also enjoy binge watching Anime, and I’m currently obsessed with Naruto and Demon Slayer. Although we are stuck in quarantine, I want to help Division 13 North prosper. In order to grow bigger and better, I will need the help of all of YOU! As your Lieutenant Governor, I want you all to feel comfortable to come and talk to me and ask me questions! Please don’t be afraid to be my friend! Even if all you want to do is have a nice little chat, I’m definitely open to it! I love getting to know new members as well, so please make sure to have new members or even your friends attend Division Council Meetings (DCMs) or even upcoming training conferences like Officer Training Conference (OTC). Not only will they make new friends and have a good time just like you will, but they are also able to get a better understanding of what Key Club truly stands for and how service and leadership is

To start the new term during these difficult times, Division 13 North has already had our DLT elections and are currently working on our T-shirt design contest and our Spirit Team applications !

Lakewood
Lakewood Key Club participated on May 4-8 for Eliminate Week! This week was to help spread awareness of mothers and their babies who are affected by maternal/neonatal tetanus. For e-LEMON-ate Wednesday, we invited members and even non-club members to join in the challenge of eating a lemon slice! This was a moment that our members came together to support the cause while having fun and trying something way out of the
usual. For Throwback Thursday board members participated by posting baby pictures online, the participants were able to spread awareness and adding a short and brief explanation of the background in order to help viewers to understand the good cause.

We have accomplished a LOT last year and I can’t wait to see what is in store for us! Even though we cannot do much for the first few months of the 20-21 term, the LTG + DLT are working hard to ensure that this year will be super memorable for you all.
