Lt. G 's Message WHAT’S SWINGING GREEN MONKEYS?? It’s me! Luisa-Ximena Arellano. I hope you are all doing well in the comfort of your homes. I know times are tough right now, but I believe in you! In spite of the fact that we are stuck in quarantine, I want to thank everyone for their hard work during these difficult times. I am so proud of you guys for continuing to serve the community in the comfort of your own homes. In order to help the division grow bigger and better, I will need the help of all of YOU! Please continue to serve in any way you can. As your Lieutenant Governor, I want you all to feel comfortable to talk to me and ask me questions! Please don’t be afraid to be my friend! Even if all you want to do is have a nice little chat, I’m definitely open to it! I love getting to know new members as well, so please make sure to have new members or even your friends attend Division Council Meetings (DCMs) or even upcoming training conferences like Officer Training Conference (OTC) (coming up VERY soon!). Not only will they make new friends and have a good time just like you will, but they are also able to get a better understanding of what Key Club truly stands for and how service and leadership is KEY! I know there are many things going on in the world right now. We as Key clubbers is our job to help in any way that we can. But we don’t only have to help others, let’s help ourselves as well! Make sure you stay safe and healthy and to take care of those around you. Wash your hands and wear your mask! Treat yourself to some late-night Netflix and popcorn, put on a face mask, and sleep in when you can. Treat yourself to the little things that make you smile. And remember! If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns in regards to anything about your club or about the division, please contact me! I am always open and here to help! Once again, my name is Luisa Ximena Arellano and I look forward to seeing all of your beautiful and lovely faces very soon! Let’s all work together to truly lift this quarantine and be able to see each other! Stay safe and Best wishes!

Luisa Ximena Arellano

Executive Assistants'Message What’s swingin’ Green Monkeys? My name is Mikayla Guerrero and I am ecstatic to serve as one of your Executive Assistants for this term. I am an incoming junior at Cerritos High School, where I now serve as a co-vice president.Although this term started off in an unexpected way, I guarantee that this term will be a memorable one. Due to COVID-19, there are challenges that we face as a division, such as cancelled events and fundraisers. However, Luisa, the other DLT members, and I are working hard to find ways to ensure that you have an amazing Key Club experience. Even though adapting to virtual events have been difficult, this is something that we all can learn from. For instance, I realized how many service projects can be done in the comfort of my own home! Something as simple as writing cards of thanks or encouragement to others is fulfilling; especially in times of hardships. One thing I love about Key Club is the fact that its members always find ways to serve the community, no matter the circumstances. Seeing how the division (as well as other divisions) adjusted in response to a global pandemic displays the passion for service that we all have. Please stay safe during these times! I appreciate all of you! Sincerely, Mikayla Guerrero || D13N EA

For the month of June, Lakewood Keyclub had a general meeting where the Club Officers went over the club’s goals for the new

term. This included hours, funds, and memberships. This gave the club members an idea of what we

had planned ahead so that we’re all on the same page. The club also participated and promoted Service Week through the Lakewood Key Club

Instagram page as a way to reach active members, and rack up more service hours as a club, pushing us closer to our goal.
