A LETTER FROM THE HEADQUARTERS

For those of you who have contacted the ITLA office since May 1, 2023, you might have noticed a familiar voice. It has been fun to surprise those that already know me and even leave some in total confusion. If my name doesn't ring a bell, chances are you likely know my alter ego. After 20 years in the industry of giving my time and helping promote the breed through the Gallery of Horns on the Arrowhead Cattle Company website, I finally get paid to build digital pedigrees. Just not for my website, instead in service of the membership doing registrations and transfers.

As you might expect, this is the busy season for registrations and transfers with new calves being born every day and sales every week. The ITLA BOD is committed to ensuring that the ITLA offers its membership a fast and accurate service. To honor that commitment, I've been putting in the long hours to get your registrations and transfers completed. To help streamline the workflow, if you have an animal in a sale or show that needs your registrations and transfers done as soon as possible we are asking that you call the office to ensure expedited service.

I'm already getting pretty fast of turning work around. I could use a little help from all of you. Using the I-Register system speeds up the workflow greatly, and I think you will find it is much easier than filling out the paperwork. Let's face it, most of us are not big fans of paperwork. So go digital!!! Also, be prepared to send me pictures. I love looking at all the great cattle that you own. The ITLA is special in that it offers to add your pictures to the registrations for FREE.

In the month of May, over 300 pieces of mail with your registrations and transfers have been sent to our membership in more than 7 countries. This is a trend that will continue and if you could do myself and the BOD a favor, share the good news on social media! Give your director a call and let them know you are a happy member. Remember, they are breeders just like you and they would be happy to just talk cows if that is more your speed.
