Introduction

Tourists are also attracted to Goa for its cultural heritage - from the famous old Portuguese churches like Se Cathedral in Old Goa, the 16th Century Safa Masjid in Ponda and Shree Mangesha Temple in Mardol, the legendary Arvalem or Pandava Caves where the Pandavas of the Mahabharat fame lived, to its two unique festivals - Carnival and Shigmo. Goa plays host to many festivalsthe International Film Festival of India that promotes cinema, the Serendipity Art Festival, Sunburn Music Festival, to name a few. To showcase this varied heritage of culture, art, tradition, food, and people, in 2015 ItsGoa was born. The main aim was to make it the premier portal for all things Goa. We were able to showcase Goa like never before. Born and raised in Bombay, Aakriti’s entrepreneurial journey is marked by her global perspective and business acumen. With a Master’s in International Business from Grenoble Graduate School of Business, she has successfully run Verve Designs, a garment manufacturing and export business.
Her extensive international travels exposed her to the world of premium spirits, helping her recognize the gap in the Indian market for high-quality liqueurs. This realization led to the birth of Nuvola Spirits and its flagship product, Mikiamo Limoncello, launched in May 2024 in Goa.

Ancel Dias: A Visionary Photographer Capturing Timeless Moments
Photography is more than just capturing images; it is about preserving memories, telling stories, and evoking emotions. Ancel Dias, a talented photographer and cinematographer from Bicholim, Goa, has dedicated himself to mastering this art. At just 24 years old, he has already built an impressive portfolio, transitioning from a passionate hobbyist to a professional in the industry. With a background in mechanical engineering, his journey into photography is a testament to his relentless pursuit of creativity and excellence.
A Passion Turned Profession
Ancel’s love for photography began as a simple hobby—capturing nature, insects, and wildlife using his phone. This early fascination gradually evolved into a more serious pursuit as he recognized the need to refine his skills and invest in professional equipment. Over the past four years, he has developed a unique style that blends technical precision with artistic storytelling, making him a sought-after name in the industry.

During his engineering studies, Ancel discovered a deep passion for photography and began capturing moments using his phone. As his interest grew, he shared his aspirations with his parents. His mother, especially supportive, encouraged him to pursue photography professionally and urged him to enroll in a formal course. This led Ancel to join the CMYK Academy, where he refined his skills. Recognizing his dedication, his parents further supported him by gifting him his first camera, marking the true beginning of his journey into professional photography.
Ancel’s transition into the professional world began when Fr. Peter Britto, a priest from his church, encouraged him to pursue photography seriously. With the support of his family and the priest, he started photographing daily mass and religious ceremonies. This initial experience opened doors to new opportunities, including becoming the official photographer for the band Shine On. He was introduced to the band through a mentor who recognized his talent, and he worked with them for two years, capturing performances and creating video content. Alongside this, Ancel also took on small shoots and wedding assignments.

His portfolio expanded significantly when Ancel was given the opportunity to work on the IFFI 2022 project with Heraldo and cover major events such as Oktoberfest. Over time, he took on a variety of projects, including music videos, events, food and product photography, parties, and weddings. Along his journey, Ancel met an experienced videographer and photographer who invited him to collaborate, allowing him to gain valuable industry knowledge and refine his skills. Through these experiences, he built a strong and dedicated team, committed to delivering top-quality work in every project.

With extensive experience across the Luxury Collection of ITC Hotels, Vivek initially joined the organization as Director of Food & Beverage at Taj Bangalore, Bengaluru, where he played a key role in curating exceptional dining experiences for our discerning guests. He then moved on to lead the food and beverage operations at the flagship hotel, The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai, in the role of Director of Food & Beverage. Demonstrating his leadership capabilities as Hotel Manager Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage he is recognized for his dedication, operational acumen, and strong leadership he has successfully taken on broader responsibilities, further enhancing his understanding of the hospitality landscape in Goa.
His ability to drive excellence, elevate guest experiences, and lead high-performing teams has made him an invaluable asset to the organization.
Anmol began his journey with IHCL as a Management Trainee. Following the completion of the program, he joined the Sales team at Taj Krishna, Hyderabad. Throughout his tenure at IHCL, Anmol led the Sales teams at Gateway Nashik and Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, before transitioning to the Accor group as Director of Sales at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and Hyderabad International Convention Centre. Anmol then took on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing at The Leela Bhartiya City Hotel Convention and Residences. In his most recent position as Director of Operations at The Leela Hyderabad, Anmol developed his expertise in operations and general management.
With experience across multiple properties, Anmol brings a unique blend of strategic vision and collaborative leadership. His ability to inspire teams,
drive guest satisfaction, and uphold the highest standards of service has been pivotal in his success.
