Niko’s Place Restaurant & Bar John & Eleni Hatzistefanou Treat Their Guests Like Family
I
n 1958, Nick Cabacum opened The Wheel Restaurant in Toledo, Ohio. Famous for its hand-carved roast beef, it did not take long for The Wheel to become the most popular restaurant in Toledo. Nick's simple rule: Serve the best quality food at a fair price. This is what made The Wheel and Nick restaurant legends! Though Nick has passed, his memory lives on at Niko’s Place Restaurant, as John & Eleni Hatzistefanou have followed the same simple rule of their father. “Great food and service at a fair price is our commitment to you,” Eleni asserts.
Besides delivering quality food, service and prices, John & Eleni provide a warm, friendly environment that is inviting to their satisfied customers, many of whom they know on a first-name basis. These same people who have been coming in weekly for 24 years, are now considered special members of their extended family! It brings a smile to their faces to see their loyal, customers day in and day out. Plus, aside from the great food they are served, it pleases their guests to see John & Eleni out on the floor, chatting with their customers as if it were a family gathering. It is the spirit of family that drives them on a daily basis. This spirit has expanded to include teenagers who are otherwise forgotten during the holiday season. “We became involved with The Angel Network thanks to one of our customers in charge of the organization. She told us no one wanted to adopt teenagers at Christmas, so we did!! It makes us very happy knowing someone cares for them now,” Eleni shares. Like family, their guests can depend on getting a meal prepared with love and care. John & Eleni make sure all of their preparations are homemade on the premises, not at a factory. You know you are getting choice meats, fresh seafood, and quality produce each and every time you visit Niko’s Place Restaurant. Both their lunch and dinner menus are complete with all of the classics to satisfy any palate. The salad bar consists of 42 fresh items from which to create your favorite combinations. Their signature herb-crusted Prime Rib is a succulent homage to their father and his hand-carved roast beef. They are also proud to offer a special Early Bird menu ALL DAY! This includes everything from Baked Ziti to Liver & Onions to slow-cooked, tender Ribs. Niko’s Place Restaurant can also accommodate your holiday parties, large family dinners or other special events with a banquet room that seats up to 50 guests. John & Eleni believe the secret to their success is the genuine level of care they extend to their guests each and every day through the quality of food they prepare. You are invited to visit them at Niko’s Place Restaurant: your home dining room away from home! Niko’s Place is open six days a week --closed on Mondays-- and is located at 6818 US Hwy 19, New Port Richey. For more information or to reserve their banquet room for your special event, please call 727-841-8151. www.ItsYourHomeMagazine.com 5

INTRODUCING
The LeviTaTion Queen Bead™ CoLLeCTion With the Magic of Galatea Mono-Pole™ Magnets
Galatea’s Levitation Queen Beads are imbued with a power all their own. Never before have beads been so elegantly and precisely spaced, creating a beautifully modern look with a minimum number of beads. How’s it done? Galatea’s patented Mono-Pole north-to-north facing magnets provide a naturally occurring space between each bead. All magnets have a north and south end, which attract one another. Galatea’s Mono-Pole magnet bead cores are engineered so only the north ends come into contact with one another, providing a natural space as the ends pull away from each other. Available in hand carved pearls, silver and glass. Levitation Queen Beads will always look and perform perfectly on a necklace, bracelet or a pair of earrings.

one Last Gift of Tremendous Savings as Custom Jewelry Creations Closes It’s Doors
I
n 1984 Kiran Kumar founded Custom Jewelry Creations as a restyling and remount company. That was what they specialized in taking customers diamonds and setting them into beautiful new mountings. It would give new life to treasured diamonds and gemstones that may have lost their luster, sometimes because the original mounting was worn out beyond repair, or maybe just because the original mounting had become dated and the customer wanted a fresh look. Even though Custom Jewelry Creations was a nationwide company serving jewelry stores all over the country, Kiran began to create works of art in jewelry for his many friends and associates in the Port Richey area. This led to him establishing a retail fine jewelry store here in the Pier Shopping Center in 1991. With the confidence and loyal patronage of his growing customer base the decision was made to purchase the building and move into the current 4200 square foot free standing location on Hwy 19 in front of Gulfview Mall. As a family owned and operated jewelry store Kiran has always taken great pride in offering his customers exceptional service and superior products at reasonable prices. One of
the stores mottos displayed on the center counter states “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.” He has been very successful at balancing price and quality. Over the years many designer lines have been added such as “Hearts On Fire” fine diamonds, Jabel, True Romance, and Claude Thibaudeau. Now after 27 years Kiran has decided to close Custom Jewelry Creations. The store is now in the middle of a short going out of business sale. When asked Kiran said, “I am sad to close the business of course, but things change, and it is time to focus more on other things. I am excited about the future.” He said he has never been able to offer such great discounts on his entire inventory, even up to 70 and 80 % off his regular tagged prices. “It all has to be sold, regardless of cost” he added, which, with gold and diamond prices at record high levels, means more diamond for less money. And, there are many beautiful quality items still to choose from. Mr. Kumar said he will be spending more time with his family and doing charitable work with Rotary International. www.ItsYourHomeMagazine.com

As superficial as it sounds, all of those new things -- including the new outfit and the new makeup -- all make us feel better about ourselves. I’m here to tell you that there’s nothing wrong with that! After 20 years of being in the image business, I have learned that no matter how smart we are and how confident we are in all the other areas of our lives, when we look in the mirror and like what we see, we simply feel better! It makes us happy, it makes us nicer to others, it makes us more confident in other areas that normally we aren't. So today is the day— no matter if it’s the New Year or a new season in your life — anytime is a good time renew your spirit! My best advice is to start with your closet. One thing that will make you feel better is to make sure the clothes you wear fit! When we feel tight or lost in our clothes it’s an immediate let down. How many times do we stand in front of our closet in the morning and think “What on earth am I going to wear today? Nothing fits me!” Then we reach for the one thing that sort of fits then try to build an outfit around that one piece. I have to tell you that it’s worth going out and getting a few new pair of pants, a couple of skirts, a selection
of tops, and a jacket. When you do, you’ll smile when you look in the mirror! EVEN if you plan to lose weight or gain muscle. EVEN if you plan to shrink out of those clothes in two months. Let me tell you why. It inspires your subconscious to get thinner or build more muscle when you like the way you look. Just the opposite happens when we don’t like the way we look or feel. When we feel fat, we make bad food choices. When we feel skinnier you are encouraged to keep it up!! And when you do keep it up and do lose the weight, you can pass those newer clothes off to a friend or a women’s shelter. Now if you’re the kind of person that gets inspired to change your weight by how you feel in your clothes, then by all means, don’t buy new ones! Put your “fix it” plan in place and find an accountability partner. This is NOT your BFF who loves you so much that she helps you come up with excuses to not follow through. It needs to be someone who loves you enough to take you away from that office donut or pick you up and take you to the gym. For what it’s worth, we all feel the same way and now is as good a time as any to choose to make a change. May your New Year’s resolutions pave a way, and may you have the desire and confidence to love yourself no matter what!

here are many misconceptions surrounding hair loss. It was once believed that baldness was due to poor circulation to the scalp, vitamin deficiencies, dandruff, and even excessive hatwearing. All of these theories have been disproved. The truth is, hair loss is primarily caused by a combination of aging, changes in hormones, and a family history of baldness. As a rule, the earlier hair loss begins, the more severe the baldness will become. The goal of hair replacement is to improve your appearance, which improves your self-confidence. Be sure to discuss your expectations with your doctor as it is possible that the results will not match your ideal head of hair. All hair replacement techniques use your existing hair. The goal of surgery is to find the most efficient uses for existing hair. Women can also experience hair loss. It is estimated that 1 in 5 women will experience some degree of hair loss usually caused by aging, illness, or hormonal changes after pregnancy or menopause. When women lose their hair they typically experience an overall thinning, as opposed to men who usually lose hair in patches. Hair replacement surgery may be the answer for women who are unhappy with thinning hair. Because this type of hair replacement usually calls for grafting, a good candidate will have dense hair growth at the back of the head. This is where hair will be harvested to transfer to thinner areas, resulting in hair appearing fuller. Dr. Gerard Cappiello Hair replacement surgery is usually performed using a local anesthesia along with minimal sedation to make you relaxed and comfortable. Your scalp will be insensitive to pain, but you may be aware of some tugging or pressure. Unlike other hair transplant centers, we harvest each follicle individually without cutting a large strip and leaving an equally large scar. The area heals very quickly and with minimal pain. Our services also include replacing hair to the eye brows and in areas affected by facelift scars or chemotherapy. All hair replacement surgeries are performed by me in our state of the art surgical center. You should arrange for someone to drive you home after your surgery, and plan to take it easy for a day or two after the procedure.

he Ultra-Violet light system purifies and cleanses the air, kills odors, and helps prevent the transmission of disease and sickness. Molds, bacteria, yeasts and viruses are naturally occurring contaminants that infiltrate every home and office on this planet. Micro-organisms are living creatures that are so small a microscope is required to view them. Allergies, headaches, watery eyes, runny noses and sore throats have become commonplace.

What You Can Do to Improve Your Credit Credit scores, along with your overall income and debt, are big factors in determining whether you’ll qualify for a loan and what your loan terms will be. So, keep your credit score high by doing the following:
6
1
7
. Check for and correct any errors in your credit report. Mistakes happen, and you could be paying for someone else’s poor financial management.
2
. Pay down credit card bills. If possible, pay off the entire balance every month. Transferring credit card debt from one card to another could lower your score.
3 4
. Don’t charge your credit cards to the maximum limit.
. Wait 12 months after credit difficulties to apply for a mortgage. You’re penalized less for problems after a year.
5
. Don’t order items for your new home on credit — such as appliances and furniture — until after the loan is approved. The amounts will add to your debt.
. Don’t open new credit card accounts before applying for a mortgage. Too much available credit can lower your score. . Shop for mortgage rates all at once. Too many credit applications can lower your score, but multiple inquiries from the same type of lender are counted as one inquiry if submitted over a short period of time.
8
. Avoid finance companies. Even if you pay the loan on time, the interest is high and it will probably be considered a sign of poor credit management.

Let your designer know your budget so you get the most for your money. Your designer should take Florida's heat & humidity into consideration when selecting cabinetry. Homes located in coastal regions are subject to higher humidity, which may compromise certain wood species. The size of new kitchen appliances must be considered when designing the layout. Remember, there may be electrical, plumbing and flooring issues to address. If price shopping, be sure that you are comparing apples to apples. Some vendors will offer a quote, but not include installation, tear-out & disposal of old materials. Our prices include fabrication, delivery, and installation of all products. We itemize all of our quotes with no hidden charges. Your remodeler should explain which countertop materials will best suit how you plan to use the space. Culinary customers will want to purchase granite or quartz, because they are most durable and heat resistant. If cooking isn’t your thing, choose a solid surface material such as DuPont Corian. To add value to your home, select a natural or engineered stone. We have contractors that do remodeling we cannot do. You only deal with and pay one vendor – TKB. We manage our contractors to keep them on our schedule.

Here comes the New Year, 2012 and with it usually comes the barrage of New Year’s Resolutions. Sometimes these ‘resolutions’ are made but then not fulfilled. Try another strategy. Sit down for some New Year’s planning. Don’t call them resolutions, but goals. Setting your sights on what you want to achieve is like building a map to where you want to go. Don’t start a journey without knowing where you want to end up. Think about what has happened in the last year, and what you can do to make things better, or to grasp a dream that seems just beyond reach. If you have a significant other, this is often a great time to plan the year together. Does it mean taking out your calendar and deciding when you want to go on vacation, and where? Does it mean taking a giant step and finding a job you enjoy? Maybe it’s losing some weight, or getting fit, or stopping smoking. The first step is to decide you are going to achieve this goal.

One plan is to make a list of all the goals you want to achieve, and then choose the top three. Those are the ones that you actively work on. Each day you ask yourself “what did I do today to reach my goal?”. You have to keep focus on what it is you want. When you complete one goal, you can refer to your list and see if there is another goal that you can accomplish. Keep track of your goals. It is good for you to see your achievements. It will give you fuel to keep moving forward. Celebrate your achievements, and reward yourself! If you don’t do the New Years Eve party thing then consider making this the time to review your year and plan the next year. Have some nice treats, or a glass of wine. Turn off the TV. Reflect and dream to come up with some plans for 2012.

“Where East Meets West and Healthy Eating Meets Great Taste”
ChEf ViCtor Wang By Debra Taylor
A
ccording to Dictionary.com, Zen is a Chinese Buddhist term which describes “a movement introduced that…emphasizes enlightenment for the student by the most direct possible means, accepting formal studies and observances only when they form part of such means.” Chef Victor Wang has experienced Zen throughout his entire life, but no much more so than at his restaurant, Zen Forrest. It began as Victor astutely watched his father prepare meals in his restaurants, learning a myriad of tools, tips and techniques of the Asian cultures, passed down by many generations in the restaurant industry. He became a dishwasher when he was 14 years-old, and subsequently worked in numerous restaurants for more than two decades. Additionally, he has traveled extensively in Asia, sampling various cuisines and adapting them to his own style. “My father taught me how to enjoy all foods, all ethnic foods. He taught me many Chinese techniques,” Chef Victor explains. This is why his passion is what it is. “I love the science & history of food and recipes. I love being creative, making people happy. I love that food brings people together and I have the opportunity to feed & nourish people.” Chef Victor has been feeding and nourishing people in the Trinity area at Zen Forrest off Rowan Road in New Port Richey for nearly six years. However he has taken his culinary expertise to heights beloved by his customers. He has exemplified Zen, evolving from his father’s teachings by combining fun and exotic ingredients, like Kobe beef and live scallops, mixing cuisines and techniques, for unique preparations that are delectable, and light!
“I want my guests to feel satisfied, not heavy. Like they’ve taken a vacation and can’t wait to come back,” Chef Victor describes. His cuisine is something that will transport you to a Zen Forrest! He has traveled extensively throughout Asia sampling various delicacies and recipes to adapt in his own restaurant. He continues, “I am an avid believer in the benefits of balanced

nutrition and the philosophy of “Food is Medicine.” Studies have shown that many human ailments are caused by a lack of or excess of certain nutrients. Many studies have shown that certain foods are proven to help prevent many human illnesses.” Chef Victor is well read on these studies, and incorporates the findings to provide healthy meals for his guests. Aside from his children, he is most proud of his Chicken & Leek Wontons, his Cubano Roll, and last but not least, his Coconut & Cumin Braised Lamb Shank creations. Beef & Noodles…and, well, noodles and pasta of any kind are some of his favorite dishes to prepare. Some of his other favorites include a scrumptious Ahi Tuna Cappaccio, and a Beef & Okra combination to die for! One of the most important aspects of his restaurant business is purchasing the best seafood, meat and produce local vendors can supply. “I look to see if they are a local, small business or supplier. I probably have more than 17 vendors, which is more work but makes us feel better about supporting our local economy,” Chef Victor shares. Zen Forrest under the direction of Chef Victor has been serving West Tampa Bay guests for over eight years. Zen Forrest is the “culinary doorway to China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Viet Nam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Malaysia, with a fusion of international and American flavors. Most recently featured on “Life Around the Bay,” on CBS News Channel 10, Zen Forrest has also been featured on WNBC’s daytime show, “Larry’s Good Eats,” and has been positively critiqued as an “Oasis” by the Tampa Tribune and the Longleaf Towne Gazette. Do yourself a favor and take a vacation to Zen Forrest for an amazing culinary experience brought to you by seasoned Chef Victor! Zen forrest is located at 4148 Rowan Road, just north of S.R. 54 in New Port Richey. for reservations call (727) 372-9545.

SAFETY PATROL
By Sandra Testo-Michaud
Holiday Safety Tips for Kids
T
he holidays are an exciting time of year for kids, the anticipation of getting gifts, Family gatherings, special traditions and delicious treats — Unfortunately, for emergency room doctors it's also one of the busiest.
sanDra TesTo-MichauD Sandra@ForTheLocalBusiness.com
Below are a few tips from the American Academy of Pediatrics on how to protect your little ones from some common holiday dangers, so you and your family can enjoy a season that's happy and healthy.
TRAVEL SAFETY It is especially likely that a home isn't childproofed if you are visiting grandma and grandpa and they don't usually have children in the house. In addition to not having safety locks on cabinets, gates on stairs, covers on electrical outlets, etc., they may also have prescription medications that aren't in a child resistant container. Things to be especially watchful for, and which you may want to ask about, include: • Do they have a pool? Does it have a fence with a self-closing, self-latching gate? Can the children get to the area where the pool is located? • Are there guns in the house? Are they stored unloaded in a locked box with the bullets locked separately? • Are there small objects, such as hard candy or nuts in candy dishes, where younger children can get them? • Are medications, poisons and household cleaners out of reach? • You may think that you will just watch your child more closely, even if the house isn't childproofed, but this is hard if there are a lot of family members and friends present and the kids are all playing together. If there are going to be a lot of younger children present at a holiday gathering, you might consider volunteering to go over before hand and childproof the house for them.
HOME SAFETY • Christmas stockings can be a hidden hazard if they are hung with heavy stocking hangers, which can fall on and injure younger kids. • When purchasing an artificial tree, look for the label "Fire Resistant." • When purchasing a live tree, check for freshness. A fresh tree is green, needles are hard to pull from branches and when bent between your fingers, needles do not break. The trunk butt of a fresh tree is sticky with resin, and when tapped on the ground, the tree should not lose many needles. • In homes with small children, take special care to avoid decorations that are sharp or breakable. Keep trimmings with small removable parts out of the reach of children to prevent them from swallowing or inhaling small pieces. Avoid trimmings that resemble candy or food that may tempt a young child to eat them. • Clean up immediately after a holiday party. A toddler could rise early and choke on leftover food or come in contact with alcohol or tobacco.
“The best safety lies in fear” – William Shakespeare. 36

s enjoyable as the holidays are they can also be a time of stress for both you and your pet. Here are some tips to help both of you have a safe and happy holiday time.
FRIEND
Trees in the House: Water at the base of live trees can contain chemicals, from the tree itself or from additives, which are deadly to your pets. In addition consider firmly anchoring any holiday tree to the wall or ceiling to prevent it from being toppled by an inquisitive or athletic pet. Decoration Danger: Tinsel, popcorn strands, garland-like decorations, ornaments, ribbons, string and other wrapping accessories can cause serious internal and external injuries to your pet. Many plants such as holly, mistletoe and poinsettias have parts that are poisonous if ingested. People Food: No bones, chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, coffee, macadamia nuts, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, chives, milk (no matter what you continue to see on TV and movies cats of any age -and dogs- should not drink milk), and xylitol- used as a sweetener in many items, especially sugarless gum, are all dangerous to your pet. Call your veterinarian if your pet consumes any of these. Also diets high in fat can cause pancreatitis in your pet, so avoid high fat treats for your pet. Candles: Candles are beautiful but their flames and scents may also appeal to your pet. Consider flameless candles or keep them well out of your pet's reach!

BUSINESS
Taylor Made in West Tampa Bay: R. MonaLeza I moved to Tarpon Springs from Kentucky in 2007, to work on the next level of a relationship with my friend of more than a quarter century, Ned Johnson, an English professor at St Petersburg College. He has lived here for more than 12 years, and has many former students who consider him, not only a teacher, but a mentor and a friend. One in particular, has not only impressed me with her kindness and creativity, but with her drive to become a published author, performance poet, and powerful influence to women. R. MonaLeza has proven she has what it takes to overcome the many challenges of being a single mom following a very abusive relationship. She took Ned’s creative writing class, and although she wanted to “drop that man like a bad habit,” he encouraged her to stick with it, and thankfully, she did! Through her passion for writing and with great perseverance, Mona became in touch with many feelings deep in her soul, some beautiful and many painful. She has taken her life’s experiences and expressed them uniquely through poetry and prose, as a therapeutic means to help not only herself, but others in similar situations. Her focus is that of female empowerment and overcoming abuse.
By Debra Taylor
To date, she has penned seven books, with another on the way in February 2012! Manifesto of a Menopausal Woman, Naked and Raw, & Unbound, are a trilogy “Into a Life…Unbound”. This trilogy is a culmination of poetry and prose that allowed her to “face demons in human form”, find “freedom … out of the darkness, “and “to transcend beyond the things that (cause) turmoil.” Her other works include Voyeuristic Elucidations, Mental Ejaculations, Silent Retribution, a novel, and her latest book, and personal favorite, Silently Suffering, which will be released January 21, 2012. All of these are available for purchase online at www.lulu.com/spotlight/ rmonaleza. Her newest and most exciting endeavor begins December 12th, when she begins hosting her own online radio program on www.rhinoonair.com, from 5:00pm-6:00pm each Monday. The best place to get additional information about her radio program, books, and poetry performances is through her website, www.rmonaleza.com. You can also check her out on You Tube and Facebook.
Community Networking in Action
Toni & Craig Weidman from RE/MAX Sunset Realty What do you love most about your career in real estate? We both love working with people to help them realize their dream: whether it’s finding their new home, or selling the home they live in now so they can move on to the next phase in their lives. We have been selling homes in this area for 20 years, and enjoy seeing people reach their goals.
You are very involved in our community; tell us about your interest in social networking.
We find social networking is the way to get information out to the general public, local friends and businesses. We ARE very involved in the community- Toni is President of the Board of Directors of the SPCA Suncoast and we have been able to contribute to an increase of adoptions, money & food donations, and necessary items to the shelter through social networking. Toni also writes a blog about real estate, events, people, and the history of the area, www.tweidman.com.
Why do you believe local businesses need to support each other?
Local businesses need to support each other in order to help our economy grow. If we just buy “foreign” then which country are we helping-not ours! We need to provide jobs in this country; and if each community supported its own, we would have millions of businesses
40
that would thrive and grow. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? Craig has several Facebook pages for businesses to network (Florida Networking Group) and post vendor opportunities (Vendor Events West Pasco).
What community organizations are you involved in and why?
We belong to the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce and the Ambassadors Club. The Ambassadors Club is a group of volunteers who attend Ribbon Cuttings and act as mentors for new businesses. We also support Exceptional Women’s Health, Sand Soldiers, MDA, Good Samaritan Health Clinic, Alzheimer’s Family Organization, SmileFaith, and many others. Toni is also a member of the Rotary Club of Trinity and volunteers at the SPCA Suncoast.

oe & Tricia Staltare are the epitome of their business, Complete Care Systems. That’s what they want and what they do for their customers and their community: they offer Complete Care! It’s their vision to make sure each customer is completely satisfied with the thorough, safe, cleaning service they receive. “Knowing that we leave our client’s house clean and ready for their family is a great feeling. There is nothing like walking on clean carpeting, knowing it is safe for your kids to get down and play on the floor,” Tricia explains. However, their “Complete Care” goes beyond the boundaries of their business. Presently, they are active members and volunteers of Generations Christian Church, which is committed to “unity… liberty and in all things love.” Their love of people and the community are exemplified in their personal and professional lives. Additionally, Tricia is on a mission to supply local food banks with healthy foods. “Most people don’t realize the number of families that are in need of healthy foods,” Tricia adds. “Not peanut butter and high calorie foods, but other high protein options.” As members of West Pasco Business Association, they have made connections they see as “wonderful” on both, personal and profession levels. The Staltares know their reputation is on the line when they offer a referral from within WPBA, but they have extreme confidence in their fellow professionals, and their colleagues have faith in Joe & Tricia and the quality work they perform. Their kindness and generosity is not limited to their work at Generations Church, or donations to local food banks. Last year,

YOU “AUTO” KNOW
A few Things to Think About When Buying a Car By Tina & Daryk Lavasseur Whether you are planning to trade in your current vehicle or sell it, check sites such as “Kelly Blue Book”, “Edmunds”, and “NADA”. These sites will give you an estimated trade in value, but make sure you are looking at the right value so you don’t get the wrong information for what your automobile is worth. There’s nothing worse than thinking you are getting ripped off when really you might have just miscalculated your car’s value. Also consider whether buying or leasing, new or used is the right choice for you. Leasing provides a lower monthly payment then buying, but possibly a higher insurance payment. It’s not for everyone though, if you don’t have money for a down payment or if you like to trade your car every few years, you may be a good candidate for a lease. If you plan to purchase with a loan, check with your local credit union or bank, they typically have quotes online that can give you an idea of their

rates. Getting a pre-approved loan will give you the confidence in negotiating a good price. The auto dealer you choose may also be able to offer you choices for companies that may possibly be able to finance your purchase if you’re credit is less then desirable. If you hate the game of haggling, and don’t like walking onto a car lot and feel like you’re being attacked, then a car buying service may be the way to go for you. They can find you whatever vehicle you may be looking for with the options and color that you are dreaming of. They have access to many dealerships’ inventory in and out of the state, instead of you just having to pick whatever is on their lot. Not to mention, the fact that they can get you a better price. There are a lot of things to consider in your hunt for that perfect vehicle. If you do your homework before you look, you will save yourself a lot of headaches and time. hen they visit your website? What is your online image? Does your website make you look as though you are not serious about what you do? Are you giving your visitors and potential customers what they need? Are your visitors spending time on your site looking at what you have to offer? Is your site’s content appropriate for your business? If you can’t answer these questions or don’t like the answers you are giving yourself, then Websitedzyn can help you. Websitedzyn can design and develop an updated website for you that will address all of these concerns. Whether it is a site that needs to be “freshened” up or a complete overhaul, Websitedzyn has the knowledge and capabilities to design an outstanding website for your business.
But wait….. Don’t stop with the design. Your site’s content is very important too. Not only does this provide the information about your business, it also needs to pull the visitor into the site to look at your total
business offering. Additionally, your site’s SEO is very dependent upon your content being consistent with your business. If the search engines cannot tell that you are selling candy from your candy store, you will have very little chance of a good ranking in the search engine results. So give yourself the holiday present you and your business deserve. Contact Websitedzyn today and we will put you on the road to a high quality on target website.

A
s the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods -- merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor. This year could be different. This year Americans can give the gift of genuine concern for other Americans. There is no longer an excuse that, at gift giving time, nothing can be found that is produced by American hands. Yes there is! It’s time to think outside the box. Who says a gift needs to fit in a shirt box, wrapped in Chinese produced wrapping paper? Everyone -- yes EVERYONE gets their hair cut. How about gift certificates from your local American hair salon or barber? Gym membership? It’s appropriate for all ages who are thinking about some health improvement. Who wouldn’t appreciate getting their car detailed? Small, American owned detail shops and car washes would love to sell you a gift certificate or a book of gift certificates. Are you one of those extravagant givers who think nothing of plunking down the Benjamin’s on a Chinese made flat-screen? Perhaps that grateful gift receiver would like his driveway sealed, or lawn mowed for the summer or a round of golf at the local golf course or a gift certificate at a local grocery store. There are hundreds of restaurants -- all offering gift certificates. And, if your intended isn’t the fancy eatery sort, what about a half dozen breakfasts at the local breakfast restaurant - this is about supporting your home town Americans with their financial lives on the line to keep their doors open. How many people couldn’t use an oil change for their car, truck or motorcycle, done at a shop run by the American working guy? Thinking about a heartfelt gift for mom? Mom would LOVE the services of a local cleaning company for a day. How about a new savings account for your grandchild. OK, you were looking for something more personal. Local crafts people spin their own wool and knit them into scarves. They make jewelry, and pottery and beautiful wooden boxes. Plan your holiday outings at local, owner operated restaurants and leave your server a nice tip. And, how about going out to see a play or show at your hometown theatre... Honestly, do we REALLY need to buy another ten thousand Chinese lights for the house? If you have those kinds of bucks to burn, leave the mailman, trash guy or babysitter a nice BIG tip. You see, Christmas is no longer about draining American pockets so that China can build another glittering city. Christmas is now about caring about US, encouraging American small businesses to keep plugging away to follow their dreams. And, when we care about other Americans, we care about our communities, and the benefits come back to us in ways we couldn’t imagine. THIS is the new American Christmas tradition. This is a revolution of caring about each other, and isn’t that what Christmas is about? BUY AMERICAN - BE AMERICAN…the job you save might be your own!
Community Events West Pasco Chamber of Commerce 5443 Main Street New Port Richey, FL 34652 Phone: 727.842.7651 Fax: 727.848.0202 Joe@westpasco.com www.westpasco.com Gateway to Tropical Florida As President of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce, what is the most important accomplishment you have made or would like to make in your tenure? I am most proud to have been able to serve as the President of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce and just being available to help others accomplish things that were important to them. I have had the privilege to work with many great community leaders and I’m proud of our West Pasco community, what a great place to live! How long have you been part of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce? I have been the President of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce since July of 1997, so this is my 15th Year. What is the most gratifying part of your job? Being able to help businesses be more successful through the different programs that we offer at the Chamber. It is fantastic to hear from different business owners that being part of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce has really made a difference for them. What do you love most about our community? The people within our community. They are the most generous, caring individuals you could ever meet. They give in so many ways to help others, volunteering hundreds of hours to our local nonprofits and giving to so many worthy causes that come up during the year. What is the most important message that you can give to the small business owner members? Get out and get involved in the community. I have heard from so many business owners that when they have gotten involved with different projects that take place in our area that they have received back so much more. When people see others involved they remember that when it is time for a product or service that they need.
