About your program ll Sessions. The Transfer NSO program has both required and “conference style” sessions, allowing you to tailor much of your program to best meet your needs. Included will be sessions about academic and career planning, IU Bloomington resources and services, Bloomington, Getting Involved, and more. Then you will meet one-on-one with an academic advisor to plan your course schedule and register for classes. ll Placement Exams. IU Bloomington requires that most transfer students take a math placement exam and a foreign language placement exam. Both are offered online and must be taken prior to your NSO program. Your confirmation will provide details, a link, and any exemption options. ll Travel. You can start making your travel plans as soon as you have your NSO email confirmation. Prior to your program date, and after May 20, we’ll mail you a packet with final information and your temporary parking permit.
