Abstract The residential sector is the largest consumer of energy globally and locally in Egypt. Thus, it is also the largest contributor to greenhouse gases. However, if the residential sector manages to reach sustainable energy autonomy, its contribution to greenhouse gas emissions has the potential to be neutralized.
