In 1730 the Mission of San Jose del Cabo was founded by the visiting father José Echeverría and the Jesuit father Nicolás Tamaral. In the town of San Jose del Cabo, under Fernando de la Toba, the Independence of Mexico was sworn and proclaimed for the second time, in 1822, in the Territory of Baja California.

Los Cabos In 1847, during the North American invasion, the town of San Jose del Cabo defended Mexican territory, and their Lieutenant Antonio Mijares was killed, who died heroically. San Jose del Cabo began its activities as the municipal seat of the municipality of Los Cabos in 1928. Currently, it is a town, like the city of Cabo San Lucas, with a promising future. Federal investments in tourism infrastructure have made it possible for these vacationer lands to become one of the most visited places by foreign tourists, mainly from the state of California and Canada. In 1981, the State Congress approved the creation of the fourth Municipality of Los Cabos.

Todos Santos This small town is characterized by its colonial architecture, which will captivate you by the intense artistic life that takes place in its galleries and festivals. When walking through its streets, you can perceive a historical atmosphere highlighted by its colonial design seen in its houses and the cultural vocation that it houses.

One of the most popular and eye-catching attractions is the legendary Hotel California which, according to an urban legend, was inspired by the Eagles group to write their iconic song that bears the hotel's name in 1976.

The Manuel Márquez de León Theater is another attraction that is a must. Its rich history dates back to 1943 when it was built by the Constituent General Francisco Mújica. The property is located on Legaspi street in the neighborhood of Todos Santos, near the historic center. On Benito Juárez street, you will discover the Regional History Museum, which is part of the Cultural Center, Néstor Agúndez Martínez. It is a building built at the end of the 1920s and is divided into five small rooms with old photographs of the town and contemporary photographs. It also houses an art gallery, and a room that contains a replica of the house of ranch with its stick walls locked. The closest city to Todos Santos is La Paz, which is just an hour away. If you are looking for the best time to visit this Magical Town, do it from December to April, which is the best season to watch whales in the Pacific Ocean. Page 8

Loreto

Loreto is a place with 300 years of history, defined by the governments of Mexico and the United States as the "Historical Capital of the Californias." Its foundation dates from the year 1697, thus being the oldest town in Baja California Sur. Here, beautiful natural attractions blend with the cozy beaches of Juncalito, Ensenada Blanca, and Liguí. They are engulfed by the La Giganta mountain range, the desert, and the Sea of Cortez. In addition, they offer splendid religious and cultural structures, such as the old Jesuit ranch Primer Agua—built on the top of the mountain—where a rustic pool, heightened by a spring that delivers a unique atmosphere.

Page 9

For eco-tourism lovers, Loreto offers endless activities. An example is taking a kayaking trip around various landscapes along its coastline of almost 250 km. and 14 islands. You can also immerse in the exciting adventure of diving in the Danzante Island, famous for its volcanic rock cliffs that favor this activity, allowing its visitors to learn about the different species of marine life—a spectacle that will remain in your memory for a lifetime.

Sport Fishing is one of the activities that we cannot put aside when talking about Loreto. In its crystalline waters, you can find different varieties of fish—according to the season of the year. In summer you can expect to see the famous dorado fish, blue and striped marlin, as well as sailfish. The winter season brings the horse mackerel and garropa, not to mention that throughout the year, other kinds of sharks are bound, not so highly valued by fishermen, but of equal beauty.

A great tourist-cultural combination is a tour of the Sierra La Giganta, where you will come into direct contact with nature and can admire species of cacti such as cardón, pitahaya, cholla, biznaga—and animals such as the bighorn sheep, mule deer, wild rabbit, coyote, iguana, pitahayera pigeon, mountain pigeon, chacuaca. You can also visit the Mission of San Javier, another historic construction from 1699, which was the second mission established in the Californias.

Page 10

Flora & fauna There are approximately 850 marine species, some of which are the black, blue, and striped marlin, sailfish, swordfish, dorado, tuna, cabrilla, horse mackerel, wahoo, roosterfish, snapper. Most of these are sought after primarily in sport

The fauna in the municipality of Los Cabos is highly varied. In the terrestrial fauna, there are several species of animals, such as badger, pinto skunk, striped skunk, coyote, gray fox, American puma, wildcat, babisuri, mule deer or brown tail, raccoon, rabbit, common hare, bat, rat field, gopher, rat, and the common mouse. The species of birds that stand out are quail, mountain pigeon, white-winged pigeon, cardinal, chuparrosa, woodpecker, pigeon, swallow, raven, mound, mountainous calandria, palm swallow. Sea birds such as gulls, gray pelican, earwig, tildillo, curlew; and albatross. The classification of natural resources of plant origin is very varied as they are correlated to the topography, the composition of the soil, the rainfall regime, and the desert-type climatological characteristics. Page 11

A leading purveyor of environmental protection and sustainability, Los Cabos defines the new age of ecotourism. Impressively, 42% of the Baja California Sur territory exists as a protected natural area. Conservation-minded trips and tours are abundant in the area, most notably through the sea turtle initiative. Each year, sea turtles including Hawksbill, Olive Ridley, Leatherback and Loggerhead species nest on the same beaches that tourists enjoy.

Environment & sustainability

A select number of hotels in Los Cabos have special preservation programs to protect the fragile turtle eggs and make sure that once hatched, the baby turtles make it safely out to sea to thrive and survive. Guests of these hotels are often welcomed to help lead the newly hatched turtles to shore and fend off wouldbe predators. Los Cabos also features a total of 22 Blue Flag beaches, a special certification given to beaches, marinas, and sustainable boating tourism operators by the Foundation for Environmental Education. Visitors looking to travel to the area and partake in conservation initiatives are welcomed in a friendly fashion. There’s even an opportunity to swim with live dolphins at select venues where visitors can interact and play with the well-cared-for marine mammals. Those looking to visit the countryside can hike, mountain bike, or backpack through the Sierra de La Laguna Mountain range, a UNESCO World Heritage Site— where visitors, if lucky, can encounter roadrunners, native foxes, and even deer. Page 12

Unique things about the destination The allure of Los Cabos starts with the rugged beauty that stretches from the cactus-studded desert to the sparkling waters of the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez. What once began as a luxury hideaway for the Hollywood elite, Los Cabos is now poised as one of Mexico’s most exclusive destinations for those looking to jetset on a luxurious getaway.

Los Cabos has two international airports, Cabo San Lucas International Airport, Mexico’s only international private airport, and Los Cabos International Airport that accommodates private jets and charter companies arriving from various destinations. Los Cabos International Airport is located about 20 minutes from San Jose del Cabo, and Cabo San Lucas International Airport is 15 minutes away from Cabo San Lucas, each offering private drivers for hire. Los Cabos businesses also offer private security, transportation, and discreet customer service for high-exposure public profiles. Once you land in Los Cabos, a vacation that can’t be replicated anywhere else begins. Sophistication and natural adventures make for world-class, personalized activities in Los Cabos. For an exhilarating change of perspective, board a private helicopter for stunning 360-degree views of El Arco and the rugged Baja Peninsula beaches before flying over the Cabo San Lucas marina and sprawling resorts that hug the coastline.

One of the best ways to explore the sun-kissed beaches along the coast and enjoy the warm weather is by chartering a private yacht. Sail from one sunny locale to the next, while enjoying an open bar, personal chef and attentive crew to attend your requests. If you are visiting from November to April, there’s a good chance you might see humpback or gray whales. The intriguing and ever-changing cuisine of Los Cabos put the destination on the international culinary stage. Distinctive dining choices include world-recognized restaurants like Nobu and various restaurants around the region spearheaded by award-winning chefs. Los Cabos also perfected farm-to-table dining, inviting you to get a taste of the region’s finest ingredients at well-appointed restaurants. If you’re looking for a gastronomy event exclusive to only you and your guests, Los Cabos’ elite personal chefs offer private dining experiences, custom menus and unrivaled cuisine for high-profile visitors.

Sayulita, cosmopolitan Nayarit beach town Sayulita, located just up the coast from Litibu Higuera Blanca, breathes a cosmopolitan air. Here you can find a blend of cultures—a young woman speaking German, a young man waxing his surfboard while chatting in English, or a small child telling her father what she wants for breakfast in French. This is truly one of Mexico’s more unique destinations. There is also a vibe similar to that of the sixties, centered around love and peace, in harmony with nature's relaxed setting. Young adults and children gather on these Sayulita beaches where the sounds of drums accompany a pleasant conversation among friends. Come vacation in Sayulita and take part in a celebration, a great meal, or a calming walk on the beach with Pacific Ocean waves lapping at your feet.

Flora & fauna Each year, in June, hundreds of sea turtles arrive on the beaches of the Riviera Nayarit to complete their life cycle. The sea turtle is the official Mascot of the Riviera Nayarit. However, it is more than a symbol or icon, as its ecological and environmental value goes beyond tourism. This is why the destination is committed to programs to protect sea turtles, in conjunction with the National Commission of Protected Areas (CONANP) and civil associations in the region.

Page 21

An alliance with the turtle camps set up in the destination's different communities protects this natural happening. These camps manage the sanctuaries and ensure that the turtles complete their cycle, saving them from extinction. The work is done through the National Sea Turtle Conservation Program of the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP).

Bird watching

Whale watching These gentle giants visit the Mexican coasts of Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and the Bay of Banderas during the winter as they find here the ideal conditions for their reproduction. Males of these species sing songs that are heard underwater and in a large area outside it. The song of the whales is one of the most beautiful sounds in nature and the loudest produced by any animal.

Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful place that, in addition to hosting an immensity of species within its waters, and in its lush jungle, is also home to beautiful birds that cross its skies and can be observed at any time of the year.

The purpose of this serenade is to attract females. Once the female approaches, the male begins to swim alongside her, brushing her body, trying to convince her that he is the one. Sometimes, this contact causes them to make jumps that lead the whales to come out almost completely out of the water, with So if you travel to this beautiful port, do their 40 tons of weight and almost 75 meters not miss the opportunity to get to know in length, in a truly extraordinary display of some of the more than 350 different bird force. species found in its various regions and ecosystems. Page 22

Environment & sustainability Puerto Vallarta is recognized internationally, for many things including its five beaches certified by the Mexican Institute for Standardization and Certification A.C (IMNC). The destination has clean and safe beaches for the enjoyment of thousands of tourists during the present holiday season and the end of the year. Five beaches certified by the Mexican Institute for Standardization and Certification: Holi Beach, Shrimp, Conchas Chinas, Palmares, Mismaloya, Playa de Oro, and Sheraton. According to the Environmental Department, they are working on increasing the certification of beaches—providing greater safety and quality of water and hygiene. Their mission is to safeguard the safety of bathers, promoting the care and conservation of flora and fauna that inhabit the port.

Unique things about the destination: Puerto Vallarta & Riviera Nayarit became green, not only for its ecological initiatives. This double destination is the national leader in economic reactivation and is also among the top beach destinations with the highest tourism recovery in Mexico. History In the early 1970s (about the same time that Quintana Roo gained statehood), Cancun, Isla Mujeres, and Cozumel began to rapidly develop as tourist destinations. Cancun has grown during the last decade, tailoring its attractions to many types of tourists. While Cancun features lively luxury hotels and beaches, the quieter, more relaxed atmosphere of Isla Mujeres is just a 20-minute ferry ride away. While Playa del Carmen boasts a classy European-style nightlife. The Riviera Maya was originally called the "Cancun–Tulum corridor", but in 1999, it was renamed the Riviera Maya with the aid of Lic. Miguel Ramón Martín Azueta. At the time, he was the municipal president of Solidaridad, Quintana Roo. The Riviera Maya includes the municipalities of Solidaridad in the north and Tulum in the south, and extends approximately 40 kilometers (25 mi) inland, to the border with the state of Yucatan. The Riviera Maya is a tourism and resort district south of Cancun, Mexico. It straddles the coastal Federal Highway 307, along the Caribbean coastline of the state of Quintana Roo, located in the eastern portion of the Yucatán Peninsula. Historically, this district started at the city of Playa del Carmen and ended at the village of Tulum, although the towns of Puerto Morelos, situated to the north of Playa del Carmen, as well as the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, situated 40 kilometers (25 mi) to the south of Tulum, are both currently being promoted as part of the Riviera Maya tourist corridor. Page 29

Fact Sheet

This is a unique location offering a 4 in 1 destination: the warmth of the Caribbean, the amazing Mayan heritage, colorful Mexico, and the underground world, all-in-one. The name "Caribbean" is derived from the Caribs, one of the dominant Native American groups in the region at the time of European contact during the late 15th century. After the discovery of the West Indies by Christopher Columbus in 1492, the Spanish term Antilles was assigned to the lands; stemming from this, "Sea of the Antilles" is a common alternative name for the Caribbean Sea in various European languages. Nature has much to offer here—jungle, flora and fauna, archaeological sites, solitary beaches, and a crystal-clear turquoise sea. There is one navigable river, the Hondo, on the border with Guatemala. Due to the limestone’s soil throughout this zone, there are many underground rivers or better know as cenotes. These sinkholes contain groundwater and are abundant in the region, giving rise to the ancient population centers of the Maya culture. Page 30

• Spanish is the official language in Mexico. In Cancun, the large majority of tourist service providers speak English. • The official currency in Cancun is the Mexican peso, although American dollars are also widely accepted. Banks open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The majority of money exchange houses have longer working hours. • Major credit and debit cards are accepted at most hotels, shops, and restaurants in Mexico. Tour purchases are charged in pesos. Your bank automatically converts the charge to the equivalent in dollars according to your bank’s prevailing exchange rate. Please bear in mind that some stores do not accept $100 US dollar bills. • A 16% value-added tax (IVA in Spanish) is applied to most goods and services. Although some items, such as medications, are exempt. • The amount you tip is at your discretion and should be based on the quality of service you received. In general, 15-20% gratuity is customary. In restaurants and bars in Mexico you must ask for the bill ("la cuenta"), as it would be considered very rude to bring the bill before it is requested. • A valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. Your passport expiration date must not transpire within six months of your departure date. • Cancun boasts more than 38,877 hotel rooms and a complete well-developed tourism infrastructure: restaurants, bars, nightclubs, golf courses, marinas, modern shopping malls, and handicraft markets. • Riviera Maya offers more than 38,477 hotel rooms and a well-developed tourism infrastructure: restaurants, bars, golf courses, marinas, shopping malls, and handicraft markets.

Just around the Island of Cozumel, visitors will encounter the vibrant reefs, with more than 500 species of fish, as well as lobsters, snails, sea turtles, sponges, urchins, algae, and starfish. These are just a few of the many species of mammals, birds, and reptiles found in Quintana Roo: • Mammals: Possums, weasels, bats, spider monkey, armadillo, anteater, tapir, raccoon, squirrel, rabbit, jaguar, ocelot, cougar, fox, skunk, otter, and peccary. • Birds: Guacamaya, blue and white heron, spoonbills, ibis, flamingos, vulture, osprey, black pheasant, pigeon, owl, barn owl, gray nightjar, gulls, pelicans, frigates, cuckoos, kingfisher, toucans, and nuthatch. • Reptiles: Turtle, crocodile, iguana, boat.

Page 40

Restoring the coral reef Coral reefs contribute to the stabilization and protection of coasts, maintain water quality and provide feeding and protection habitats for many of the marine organisms of great ecological and commercial importance. However, reefs are being affected by a combination of human and natural impacts, including bleaching and diseases, which are accentuated by climate change. The Reef Restoration Program seeks to increase the resilience and adaptation potential of coral reefs and promote the recovery of associated species of fish and invertebrates. This is done through the application of developed techniques that include the transplant of more than 10,000 colonies per year, involving communities and managers as part of a Restoration Network.

Preserving the underground river The Rio Secreto organization is on a mission to protect the underground river’s iridescent water, stalactites and stalagmites. A significant portion of the tour entrance fees reportedly goes toward the preservation of the underground river, the preservation of local plants and wildlife, water quality studies, and environmental education programs.

Protecting the islands Caribbean islands are being protected and restored by the government and various advocacy groups. Isla Contoy, for instance, is uninhabited, and only 200 people may visit it each day. The island is a sunscreen-free zone where plastic bottles are not allowed.

Technology in the destination When it comes to technology for the MICE industry we know that our destination has meeting rooms equipped with everything a group would need, including projectors, comfortable tables, and chairs that can be configured in different ways, and snacks such as coffee, water, and bakery items. But as technology innovates, these features are integrated and tailored to the needs of programs.

From restaurant menus and spa treatments to excursions and daily resort schedules, guests can explore all the latest news from their personal device.

Reusable Water Bottles

Remote check-in

Every day more hotels in the destination use technology to take care of the environment. An example of this is the implementation of reusable water bottles that filled with water purified by the hotel's purification plant. This helps withdraw from one of the most serious ecological problems: Plastics.

Hotels in Cancun and Riviera Maya have a system that connects the hotel reception staff with guests without them having to go through the reception to check-in. This change is being achieved thanks to virtual platforms where guests can fill in their registration data.

Smart services at hotels Xcaret Mexico Hotel has inagurated its smart bracelet that visitors receive upon arrival. No more cards to open the bedroom door, the “all-inclusive” wristband uses a new technology that allows guests to open their room's door and windows simply by scanning it. ''When Shift Happens you can manage it or let it manage you.'' During the pandemic, many innovative organizations used the time to craft marketing strategies that were highly effective, boldly innovative, and dazzlingly creative. We are emerging from a kaleidoscope of confusion, stress, and shifting priorities that took place. For months we cascaded toward sameness. We became numb to capturing the essence of our demanding consumer expectations. Companies sent my employees home with no promise of a job waiting for their return. Now that businesses return to the 'new normal' engagement at every level is the new currency. What happens next becomes the prerequisite for success. Today most organizations are looking beyond traditional business models to create a blueprint for what happens next: experience differentiation. With all of the restrictions being lifted, we are now frustrated by our choice. We have discovered a lack of availability and accessibility of quality employees and customers. There has been a decline in excellent customer service and a competitive production environment. Without a clear sense of priorities and an acute alignment of people's efforts, companies will experience another pandemic: attention deficit disorder. And performance always takes a beating when we lose concentration. Inadequate staffing appears to be omnipotent. Lack of adequate staff continues in almost every business. Employers are fighting for talent. Employees are constantly shifting from one 'opportunity to another only to find that the 'grass was not always greener.' To survive, businesses must demystify, digitalize, improve, reengineer, downsize, upsize, and become more customer and employee-centric, focused, driven to recruit and retain. Page 50

The media reported that corporate culture changed, but I do not see it this way. Most organizations don't have the foresight to change their culture before the world forces it on to them. The people who changed the culture remained intact. A quick scan of our business future tells us that our survival depends on speed. It's no longer going to the biggest but the fastest that service and thrive. The window to the future gives a better view than a mirror. As companies thought about creating memorable experiences, it became apparent that rewards should also follow the memorable experience model. And what does that better than a well-crafted incentive travel (IT) program? IT rewards are a sure-fire strategy to grab attention and break through the clutter when it comes to effective ways to recruit and retain employees and customers while offering a valuable service to your prospects and clients. They are hugely popular in almost every industry for a reason. They are cost-effective, convenient, and efficient to deliver a stimulus package to your intended winners. Properly structured, they can become self-funding. Incentive travel programs often demystify. A well-constructed IT program creates attention, de-complicates expectations, and offers a sharply defined sense of direction and reward for successful completion. The biggest challenges these days are perceptual, not technical. Our significant adjustments in the past few months were mental. For months we processed events in our heads. Businesses need insight and wisdom that is transformational, not transactional. Incentive travel programs cut through the blur of complexity and change. Travel is seductive. It has a pull of that which is novel and provocative. The travel reward often focuses participants beyond the blur, passing all the racket and pressure to deliver them into impressive results in a very slender space. As we emerge from the pandemic, there are many new opportunities that will require us to provide high-quality products and services to grow a business. We need committed, productive, engaged employees. Businesses are now looking for ways to escape from competing solely on price. They want to hire employees without overpaying. We know IT works and post-pandemic IT will become the most used reward platform in our lifetime. Page 51

Organizations may not have focused on IT as a solution to the ripple effects of Covid-19, but authentic travel is something most people want to do NOW. If organizations are going to recover from the economic disaster of the past 16 months, they need to add sufficient value to their business model to reach those that can positively impact their recovery. IT is still about experiences and memories. MICE organizations are advisors that have become deep generalists with a broad perspective. They exhibit selfless independence by balancing their devotion to their customers with objectivity and Meaningful Memories™. Post pandemic successes have to hit the organizations hard enough to shatter existing SOP. It has to make enough noise to command people's attention. It's not about money. It's not about acquiring things. It's about experiences. It's about bragging rights. It's about confirming our sense of excitement and the role travel plays in building more robust, more personal relationships with customers, employees, consumers, and managers. And this is why IT is so helpful. When you escape from where you spend much of your time, travel makes you experience the creative benefits of experiencing something new. Travel often helps reset, rethink, and reflect on your results. Most people I have interviewed told me they viewed travel as an escape from the challenges they left behind. Travel often leads to refreshing your mind, recharging your spirit, and preparing you to deal more effectively with tomorrow. The solution may be found by turning dreams into reality. We have been shuttered at home for over 16 months. We played video games, practiced cooking, read more, ate more, and spent more time with our family and friends. Now is the time to create a strategy that rewards performance, retention, acquisition, sales, and safety. cess. Travel is meant to be shared. Simply put, prices are up, and service levels are down. Anytime there is a change, there is an opportunity. To change the slope of that trajectory, we need to 'incentivize' our customers, employees, consumers, and event management. I have learned that scarce resources gravitate toward clear goals. Incentive travel rewards help align people's efforts. An exciting destination often cuts through the fog like a lighthouse creating a bright focus that brings lucidity and tenacity. IT will help ensure that Shift Happens!® After all, we are fulfillers of dreams. Incentive Travel increases mileage. James D. What our client’s have to say.

Our arrival at Cabo Airport was safe and smooth. All airport workers are wearing masks, and social distancing guidelines are in place. Upon arrival, you must fill out new C19 forms. I experienced several stunning resorts including the Auberge Resorts Collection, Le Blanc Spa Resorts, Grand Velas Los Cabos, Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, Los Cabos, Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Each resort is pristine, COVID friendly, and waiting for your next corporate group, incentive, or leisure travel experience. Outside the resorts, everything is open. My group experienced the phenomenal Cabo Adventures Sea of Cortez Wildlife & Snorkeling Adventure and we saw whales. Cabo surpassed all expectations during the COVID-19 pandemic, from cleanliness to friendliness.

Essential Travel Tips The earlier you book, the cheaper the flights Although most flight companies release their flight schedule a year ahead of time, that doesn’t mean it’s the best deal. Usually, the best time to book flights is between the 4-6 month mark. You can still seize last-minute deals, however, it is always to stay prepared ahead of time, then if you find a last-minute deal—book it for your next adventure. Page 54
