Orientation in Jelgava for students
To get to know Jelgava better, we offer a small orientation route, during which you’ll be able to see Jelgava most significant places. Before you start the tasks carefully read the task conditions and how to use the map. During the orientation, you have to complete the given questions about every place. All materials obtained during the orientation have to be inserted in facebook.com e(math+science) group. You need to create a gallery, which will display all the videos and pictures, as well as the teams name, the names of the participants, the teams’ motto or slogan. At 16:30 you must be at Raiņa monument, that’s next to St. Trinity cathedral, regardless of whether you managed to see all the objects and perform all the tasks or not. In the evening, at school, the orientation awards ceremony will take place. Note that in this orientation, how fast you do the task doesn’t matter. We will judge how well you have found the objects, how accurately you have completed the tasks. Good Luck! Map In the image below you can see Jelgavas downtown map. Now you are at the aerodrome, that’s marked with a red dot ( ). This is checkpoint No. 8. The yellow dots ( ) are checkpoints, that you have to go to and do the tasks required to answer the questions. Each checkpoint has a number respective for the task number. Objects, checkpoints are not numbered in the correct order. With the help of the map you need to think of an order in which you’ll visit the objects.
