StripGenerator http://stripgenerator.com/
Ease of use: Stripgenerator is a web based tool for creating comic strips with a new version based on Flash and Javascript. Unlike most tools of its kind, whose interfaces are made to look pretty, Stripgenerator’s service takes a more minimalistic approach – focusing on ease-of-use and simplicity over eye-candy.
Sharing and collaboration: Stripgenerator allows comments on the comic creations. A great deal of social interaction is available in order to promote your development. The comic strip can be shared on Facebook, Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Delicious, or Twitter. You are also provided with the direct link to the comic image as well as the HTML link that you can copy into your website or email in order to show the strip.
Maths integration: The site can be used for a wide variety of projects such as biographies, math, word problems and effects.
Freedom of use: Stripgenerator is free to use in order to develop your comic strips. If you want a specific theme pack, you can buy one of the few that are available. These packs add functionality for your comic strips by adding characters, items and more.
Overall impression: The free tool lets you create a strip using predefined frames, characters and objects. Using your mouse, you drag and drop as well as rotate and resize the objects. The predefined objects are minimalistically designed, so even non-artistic users should be able to create something that looks decent.
Feedback: Those who don’t get on well with the often kitsch interfaces of most comic creation tools, Stripgenerator will prove a good alternative. The ability to print the comics and share them with such other teachers or pupils is attractive and raise the pupils’ attention and interest in lessons.
