There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly. Ninety-nine percent of who you are is invisible and untouchable. Don't fight forces, use them.

From little pieces of information we spread our brains into the jungle, trying to found every little piece that could help us understand and figure out how a vertical structure in by definition is supposed to exist to perform the

best

according

to

our

ignorance.

As

always,

the

vastness of information out there is more than enough to get lost and do not come back at any point of the short term journey and maybe the key is not to go around in circles

trying

to

look

for

the

comfortable

pieces

of

information that already exist to make a successful and disruptive proposal but pick as many different ones as you can and by critical mass, as our inexperience is as big as our curiosity, create a path comparing and contrasting with the cloud of knowledge that we already had created from classes, teachers, photos, conversations, drawings, math and obscene jokes about the hardness of structural phallus.

In the end every single choice does not make the right final

result

but

the

sum

and

average

of

every

argument/counterargument that heads the direction for the next step and follows to the 2nd stage until the final result is submitted.

production, the repetition as productive process but the remix as manifesto, the profound understanding of things through drive us finally to new forms of making the same as our references, to derive as students to get to know a sort of reality to apply into future or perhaps just to know a way to rapidly prototype something that actually works.

Even you are not new in this that we call world, a form of uniqueness by you particular situations, decisions, morals,

your

vices,

preferences

and

perversions

are

individually elevating you or your work but the way it operates together as a mental war to push what you feel, think and do.

The ubiquitous is the contemporary real, not in Holy Spirit but in our mundane heads, our futile existence to close a flat time circle that we spin around us in order to continue, it cannot be stopped buy any of us so just keep going, steal, remix, produce and finally if you had made it yourself it would be something new.

Preparation is the way we normally cover our mistakes with beautiful words, the beauty of manufacturing what we want to hear (or what we to be told). But the brutal truth would be enlighten when we stop caring when a discourse is made by the little pieces that are really being used and not what we are supposed to be using or think or tell‌ Perhaps continuous improvisation may loose focus as we try to run faster than our fears to not encounter them face to face, but the extraction of our deepest impressions in shorts amounts of time may make us not to make up the filthy process everyone carries with himself.

The insightful experiment that we have created is not an isolated fact but a continuous show that goes from every person to the group and from every group to the class, the non

listening music, get burn your hands with glue gun and smell the delightful vapors of epoxy. The human chain that informally constructs the team where everyone surprisingly in an academic project everyone pays in time, always seem to do something and does not wait get things done

Finally the model is finished, the panel completed, the rest is up to the final results, the forces and the steel, the weight of a inert steel block will be the only objective truth, the rest is just our perceptions.

We could be screaming after the ours of brain sweating but the fact is that the only voices are for how amazingly a model can present what a computer calculates, the feeling of how beams and columns scream for a better performance until they succumb to the cruelty of nature, its only mean is to die under the pressure. Far from being sad it fulfills joy after understanding perceptively how things are from a macro perception, in a scale representation and from in a micro definition. We lose all regrets for our own choices at the very moment we think would be destructed, trashed, but strongly perceived. We have affection for every creation we make as architects but just enough to leave them be what they should be.

And after all there are just conclusions left, tons of expertise to apply to new things, take consideration for the design inside that heartrending nature where design should be included, where life and activities go around a secure core to absorb all the massive weight and momentum forces that may push it in the 3D space, as light as it can be, as solid as it should but surrounded with a tensile and flexible web that allows it to create moving space, the one that is able to assume the torsions and not strangle the core. Globally in not only intuition, but mainly is what left

such

a

process

the

difficulty

of

putting

things

together as a whole expecting them to fit in their own function but also in concordance with the previous steps and the future ones. The experiment left us with a little bit more of a capacity to see through the future from the past experience to be able to get things done in new ways, start stealing other ideas and our previous ones. And the show must go on‌ must be continued till the rest of the time cycles that goes along every single time in history and experimentation‌

Special thanks to all the team members and professor for intentional or unintentionally made from this madness, a life lasting and fulfilling experience.
