Your Local Buzz Castle School celebrate new learning space The Castle School in Newbury celebrated completion of a new build and refurbishment project that has significantly improved their learning space today. The £864,470 project, funded by West Berkshire Council, has provided three new classrooms to meet a growth in demand for places. Three rooms within the existing school have also been refurbished and remodelled which in addition helps to provide a quiet room, an office and a new accessible WC. The Castle School caters for children age 3-19 with a variety of complex learning difficulties. Jon Hewitt, Headteacher at The Castle School said: “We are delighted by the improvements to our school. The right kind of learning space is crucial to the work we do with our pupils. Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do and the new spaces have been created with this in mind.”

Line closures - more dates announced GWR and Network Rail have confirmed more dates when a significant part of the line between Newbury and Reading will be closed. This is to facilitate electrification works, track renewal and ballast work. The first phase of works is scheduled to take place over the following four working-day periods, with a number of additional line blocks required to complete the work.

Lynne Doherty, West Berkshire’s Executive Member for Education said: “We are pleased to have been able to support this great new build and refurbishment project for The Castle School. Without these additional classrooms, the school would be unable to meet the needs of local pupils who would then have to be placed outside the district.”

Memorial to the Great War Thatcham at the time of the First World War had a population of Thatcham at the time approximately 3,000 of the First World people. It is unclear War had a population exactly how many of of approximately the population went to 3,000 people. war. Sadly many did not come home. To honour them a memorial was erected and unveiled by General Dickson at a ceremony on 11th November 1920. A German Howitzer was also placed and unveiled, by Major Turner, at the same time as a further memorial. At the unveiling there were 103 names. Over the years this has been added to and corrected. For example Private Henry Edwin Breach along with two of the Bew brothers, Private Frederick Bew and Private Leonard Bew were not on the original inscription.

Look carefully at the names on the memorial and you will see many with the same surname, in many cases such as the Bew and Rutter families, two or more sons were killed.

The memorial was later moved to its present position at the southern end of the Memorial car park and names of soldiers that had fallen during the Second World War were added. There are names of soldiers being uncovered and where there is a connection to Thatcham a case is being made for them to be added to the memorial. The same is happening throughout the country. Festival of We need Engineering your views on social housing As part of the Thames Valley corridor, West Berkshire is a thriving place for companies in the engineering sector and with that comes an ever-increasing need for people with expertise in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

As Housing Minister, I’ve been set a task to make sure we are building homes for everyone – building more, building better, building faster. Everyone deserves a decent, affordable and well-run place to live – and social housing plays a vital role. We want it to support people to get on in life, and go on to own their own home.

Lots of work is going on to try and fill this ‘skills gap’, encouraging young people, especially girls, to take STEM subjects at school and go on, either via apprenticeships or university, to choose careers in this sector. This month, I am co-hosting a ‘Festival of Engineering’ with my next-door MP Kit Malthouse, working with the Education Business Partnership West Berkshire to bring together local companies and young people from schools across West Berkshire and North Hampshire. The event is being held in Xtrac’s amazing new factory space in Kennet Park and will offer the students a series of hands-on, interactive activities which are designed to involve, inspire and enthuse them.

Watch this space!

Rt Hon Richard Benyon MP for Newbury

That’s why I’m running the government’s social housing green paper, which sets out initial proposals around making sure homes are safe and decent, rebalancing the relationship between residents and landlords, and making sure tenants’ issues are resolved quickly. We are also working to address stigma around social housing, which has no place in Andover or anywhere in the country. And we are working hard to boost supply.

The Befriend West Berkshire project and how it is combating loneliness There are many reasons why people become lonely, such as lack of friends, family members living far away, poverty and or rural isolation. Loneliness has a devastating impact; it can cause depression and lead to a poor quality of life. How can we help?

Having regular interactions with other people has been proven to combat loneliness, which is why there is a charity that recruits and trains volunteers to become Befrienders for isolated people aged over 50 who live in West Berkshire. Once trained, the Befriend West Berkshire project will carefully match a volunteer to someone the project coordinator feels the volunteer would connect with. Then, just like a friend, your role will be to take a little time to visit once a week or so to have a chat and enjoy each others company. Becoming a Volunteer Befriender could help to combat isolation and encourage independent living, whilst providing friendly, social contact at the same time. Brian and Mary

We’ve already put a further £2 billion into the Affordable Homes Programme, increased local authority borrowing by £1 billion, and offered housing associations longer term funding certainty to help them deliver more. Now I want your views on how we can build on this, you have until 6th November to respond online or by post. More information at: https://www. gov.uk/government/consultations/anew-deal-for-social-housing or just search ‘social housing green paper’ online. You can also follow me on Facebook for progress updates on this essential issue.

The Blue space provides free services and support to men with a cancer diagnosis and their loved ones.

The Blue Space

Male Cancer Support The Blue Space was officially launched in 2016 by the mayor of Basingstoke and our supporters include Andrew Bishop the chief medical officer of the North Hampshire NHS Trust and the Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy units within the hospital. We also have the support of The Basingstoke Prostate Support Group, and welcome Men with any cancer diagnosis. Our Blue space sessions offer an opportunity to get information, help combat stress with therapies (massage, reflexology, barbering) and chat to others. We also encourage partners to attend these sessions.

We also regularly hold partner evenings and day trips, these are social events and include curry nights, BBQs and trips to the coast. This provides an opportunity for couples to meet and share experiences and tips on dealing with a diagnosis in a non-clinical environment, it’s also an opportunity to have fun and make new friendships. The Blue Space also runs a monthly support group for men whose wife/ partner has a cancer diagnosis. This is run by our trained counsellor. The support group meets every 2nd Tuesday a month between 7.30pm and 9.30pm. We also run a Blue Space Ladies support group, this is for women whose husband/partner has cancer and this group again meets every 2nd Tuesday between 2pm and 4pm.

To find out more about The Blue Space dates, times or to book a session please email: info4bluespace@ gmail.com or call 07899 970 841, alternatively please visit the website: thepinkplace.org.uk/blue-space or find us on Facebook @thebluespacecharity.

Here is a few quotes from The Blue Space Guests: I found it good to have somewhere I could talk to others who understood. I came to The Blue Space because my wife wanted me to, I came back because I wanted to. There is no support for my husband in the area, he has a rare cancer. Thanks to the Blue Space he has found comfort and support and knows he is not alone. A fantastic charity, I would encourage anyone with a cancer diagnosis to go along, not only for you but for your wife also, the support we have both received has been very beneficial, the therapies are also very relaxing.

After Queen Elizabeth I died in 1603, English Catholics who had been persecuted under her rule had hoped that her successor, James I, would be more tolerant of their religion. James I had, after all, had a Catholic mother. Unfortunately, James did not turn out to be more tolerant than Elizabeth and a number of young men, 13 to be exact, decided that violent action was the answer.

Bon fire Night

A small group took shape, under the leadership of Robert Catesby. Catesby felt that violent action was warranted. Indeed, the thing to do was to blow up the Houses of Parliament. In doing so, they would kill the King, maybe even the Prince of Wales, and the Members of Parliament who were making life difficult for the Catholics. Today these conspirators would be known as extremists, or terrorists. To carry out their plan, the conspirators got hold of 36 barrels of gunpowder - and stored them in a cellar, just under the House of Lords. But as the group worked on the plot, it became clear that innocent people would be hurt or killed in the attack, including some people who even fought for more rights for Catholics. Some of the plotters started having second thoughts. One of the group members even sent an anonymous letter warning his friend, Lord Monteagle, to stay away from the Parliament on November 5th.

The warning letter reached the King, and the King's forces made plans to stop the conspirators. Guy Fawkes, who was in the cellar of the parliament with the 36 barrels of gunpowder when the authorities stormed it in the early hours of November 5th, was caught, tortured and executed. It's unclear if the conspirators would ever have been able to pull off their plan to blow up the Parliament even if they had not been betrayed. Some have suggested that the gunpowder itself was so old as to be useless. Since Guy Fawkes and the other conspirators got caught before trying to ignite the powder, we'll never know for certain. On the very night that the Gunpowder Plot was foiled, on November 5th, 1605, bonfires were set alight to celebrate the safety of the King. Since then, November 5th has become known as Bonfire Night.

Here are some interesting facts about barbers that will make you appreciate them for more than just their ability to cut hair!

Interesting Barber Facts n

Barber is derived from “barba” in Latin, which means beard.

n

n

Barbers were once surgeons, pre-1800’s, cutting hair and flesh.

n

n

Surgery was a banned practice in many places, so barbers were a hot commodity.

n

Barbers also did nails and teeth at their salons.

20

Barbers used a urine-based formula for early shampoos. The classic striped barber pole outside real barber shops derived from the barber’s second job as a surgeon. This represents when barbers hung bloody bandages out to dry on a pole.

Time to say Thank You 100 years ago the guns fell silent on the world's first truly global war. It is time to think about all of those who lived through this tragic time - and say 'Thank You' for all they did for us. The Armed Forces At the end of WW1 four million soldiers returned home to find a shortage of housing and jobs - a struggling economy. Despite this they brought the same resolve to peace that they had shown in war, helping to rebuild Britain.

Children More than 340,000 children lost a parent and countless more lost brothers and uncles in WW1. Despite this trauma, children played a vital role in the war effort.

WE WILL

At the start of 1918, Germany was in a strong position and expected to win the war. Russia had already left the year before which made Germany even stronger. Women Women played a huge role in WW1 and this helped to change the role of women in Britain. Their vital role in supporting the war effort meant that many more women worked in jobs outside the home.

Pioneers Pioneers in WW1 were driven to innovate and find new solutions. In medicine, Doctors and nurses vastly increased our understanding and use of new technology such as x-rays. If you have ever used a teabag or worn a wristwatch you can thank the necessity during the war for making them commonplace.

The Commonwealth The British Empire answered the call with volunteers from far and wide including pre-partition India, the Caribbean and Africa, all of whom make up a vibrant part of our culture today.

Germany launched the 'Michael Offensive' in March 1918, where they pushed Britain far back across the old Somme battlefield. However their plan for a quick victory failed when Britain and France counter-attacked. Germany and her allies realised it was no longer possible to win the war. The Triple Alliance had been damaged. Some reasons for this included the fact that the Schlieffen Plan had failed in 1914 and the Verdun Offensive had failed in 1916. Germany was now losing the Great Battle in France and the German Navy had gone on

strike and refused to carry on fighting. Furthermore, the United States joined the war in April 1917, which gave the Triple Entente greater power. The leaders of the German army told the German government to end the fighting. Kaiser Wilhelm, Germany's leader, abdicated (left his job) on 9 November 1918. Two days later, Germany signed the armistice and the guns fell silent. People in Britain, France and all of the countries that supported them, celebrated the end of war - a war that had lasted four years and four months. In London, a huge crowd gathered in Trafalgar Square.

World War One ended at 11am on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, in 1918. Germany signed an armistice that had been prepared by Britain and France.

The myth of trench warfare

Millions of soldiers died on the Western Front in World War One. The horrific stories and images from the frontline all reinforce the idea that fighting in the trenches was one long bloodbath. But statistics tell a different story. There were certainly days of great violence during four years of war – such as the first day of the Battle of the Somme. But nearly 9 out of every 10 soldiers in the British Army, who went into the trenches, survived. How was this possible, considering that over 5 million British soldiers served on the Western Front? And when they weren't involved in an attack, what was everyday life like for the troops? The average day began with ‘stand to’ before dawn. Gathering their weapons, soldiers took a place on the ‘fire step’, and as the sun rose, fired towards enemy lines in a daily ritual called the ‘morning hate’. After breakfast, the men worked on chores, from sentry duty to trench maintenance, spending their spare time catching up on sleep or writing letters. The ‘stand to’ was repeated at nightfall before groups were sent into the treacherous and deadly No Man’s Land. Others fetched rations, went on sentry duty, or left the

firing line altogether. In all, most battalions rarely spent more than five days a month in the line of fire. So where were they most of the time?

On average, the British Tommy spent almost half his time behind this line of trenches. Those who needed it received medical treatment and training, whilst others enjoyed relaxation and leave.

Horses During the conflict the British Army deployed more than a million horses and mules. There weren't enough horses in Britain to meet demand, so over 1,000 horses a week were shipped from North America.

To keep pace with the demands of the war and help sustain morale, the British Army often rotated its soldiers around the trenches. So the bulk of a soldier’s time was divided between a range of specialist By November 1918, half of the British Army’s areas behind the front line, horses were in France. The rest were spread across all of which was made the Balkans, Middle East, Egypt, Italy and the UK. safer by the ingenious There were four main roles. Supply horses and mules design of the trench were used to move ammunition, general supplies and system itself. ambulances. Riding horses were ridden by soldiers behind, and sometimes even in, the frontline. Teams of gun horses pulled artillery pieces that weighed as much as taxis and cavalry horses were still used in battle.

The perfect drink for the holiday meal

Prosec - HO - HO - HO! It’s nearly time for everyone’s favourite time of year. The mistletoe will soon be hanging, the trees will be filling the houses with smells of pine, and the kitchens will be bustling with activity as we scurry preparing for the hordes of family and friends that come to indulge in the traditional, and maybe not so traditional, Christmas meals. But one of the most important things to think about when making all the food preparations is – what will make this meal experience even more enjoyable? The obvious answer is – a very good wine! But which wine will be the one to help set off all the flavours while not overpowering the delicate taste of the turkey and ham with all of its stuffings and accompaniments? Now here we have a number of choices. The traditional options like a nice New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, or South African Chenin Blanc, are always a good safe option. And for the more adventurous amongst us,

we may go for a fruity and dry Riesling from Mosel valley or Alsace. If you prefer the darker side of wines, (and I’m referring to the red variety!), then a pleasant light- bodied red like Pinot Noir or Beaujolais could be just the thing to set off the juicy ham and the turkey and chestnut stuffing. Even a good medium bodied Valpolicella can bring a new depth to the flavour profile of your dishes. The key thing to remember is to pair a wine with high acidity, especially if you are serving food which is a bit fattier or salty. The acidity will help cut through both and result in a very smooth taste and enhance the flavours of both the wine and the food. But in our house, we like to keep

it all very simple. We use the one wine that can be served as a reception drink to welcome guests while you put the finishing touches to your meal, an aperitif to toast the holidays, as an afterdinner drink to help settle the abundance of food consumed, and most importantly as the wine to accompany the meal. I’m talking about none other that a luxurious and lightly sparkling Prosecco. This wine is the ideal holiday tipple. It doesn’t have the harshness of most champagnes, so it won’t fill you up before you even start the first course. It has the lightness of a Sauvignon to fit well with the lighter meats, the acidity of a Pinot Noir to cut through the fatty and salty tastes, and the fruitiness to help round out all the lovely flavours of a full Christmas meal. What a perfect way to celebrate good food and good company! Now all that’s left is dessert – but that’s for next month.

Feeding Wild Birds At this time of year, put out food and water on a regular basis. In severe weather, feed twice daily if you can.

Different birds are attracted to certain foods, often reflecting their special adaptations for natural food types.

Birds require high-energy (high-fat) foods during the cold winter weather to maintain their fat reserves to survive the frosty nights. Use only good-quality food and scraps.

Greenfinch, Tits : sunflower hearts

Always adjust the quantity given to the demand, and never allow uneaten foods to accumulate around the feeders.

Robin, Thrushes : mealworms and live foods

Sparrows, Woodpigeon : large grains Woodpeckers, Tits, Starling : fat balls and peanuts Blue Tits are busy, hyperactive little birds

Thrushes, Waxwing : windfall fruit

Winter

Robins are fiercely territorial over food supply.

Who stays and who leaves t Robin Recently voted Britain’s National Bird, Robins are for some people, the epitome of winter. Robins are a common breeding bird and in winter the resident population is joined by European migrants.

Chaffinch Chaffinches are common breeding birds occurring in a wide range of habitats in Britain. They are well adapted to urban living so a common sight in gardens. They also often make use of woodland habitat feeding on seeds.

Bullfinch Bullfinches are the most striking of British finches with males a vibrant red with a black cap. They can often be seen on woodland edge but are equally found in gardens often in pairs or small groups (above). 38

Winter Birds Winter can be an excellent time of year to get close up views of birds visiting your garden for food, water and shelter. It also provides an exciting opportunity to see some species which are only here during the winter months.

Goldcrest Goldcrests are Britains smallest breeding bird and favour coniferous woodlands and gardens. In winter they can often join flocks of other small birds and most frequently seen in the tree canopy. They have a

distinctive gold stripe on their head, giving them their common name.

Dunnock The dunnock is a common garden bird but is a bit more elusive than other species. As their alternative name suggests, hedge sparrow, they often tend to seek cover.

Coal Tit Coal tits most show a preference for conifer woodland during the breeding season. It Is similar in size and resembles the larger great tit but can be identified by the white patch on the back of its head and light brown flanks.

Blue Tit Is a resident breeding bird and has a similar diet to other birds in winter, favouring seeds. Famously Blue Tits adapted the ability to digest milk and used to tap through the foil lids of freshly delivered milk on doorsteps.

We spend approx. ÂŁ200 million a year on wild bird food! There are around 10,000 different species of birds worldwide.

Bird Facts Shortest Bird Migration

Shortest Widest Wingspan

The dusky grouse is a North American bird that migrates just 300 m. During the winter it lives in mountainous pine forests of western North America. It then descends to deciduous woodlands for the breeding season where it feeds on the early crop of seeds and fresh leaves.

The wandering albatross has the largest wingspan of any bird in the world reaching lengths of 3.65m.

Sparrows can survive between 4 and 5 years in the wild

The Peregrine Falcon can reach speeds of up to 240 miles per hour (mph) while diving!

Birds

the British Isles for Winter? Winter visitors are birds that arrive in autumn from the north and east to spend the winter in the UK, where the weather is milder and food is easier to find. In spring, they return to their breeding quarters. They include fieldfares, redwings, bramblings, Bewick’s and whooper swans and many kinds of ducks, geese and wading birds. Many water birds also spend the winter on the sea around the UK coast, including common scoters, great northern divers and red-necked grebes (opposite).

What is Irruption? Irruption is a mass arrival of birds that do not usually visit the UK in large numbers. This happens with some northern species, such as waxwings, when their population grows too large for the food supply.

Longest Flying Alpine swifts can fly up to six months without stopping.

Fastest

Sparrow Sparrows are carnivores by nature, but they have changed their eating habits when they learned to live close to people. Sparrows primarily eat moths and other small insects, but they can also eat seed, berries and fruit.

Waxwings only visit the UK in the winter. Waxwing

Scandinavian winter quarters, they have to cross the sea to the UK to find more. Irruptions only happen every 10 years or so; we cannot expect to see waxwings every winter.

Altitudinal migrants Instead of migrating between north and south or east and west, some birds migrate up and down. This is called altitudinal migration - or vertical migration. Birds that breed in upland areas in summer head down to lowland areas in winter in search of a milder climate and more food. Although the journey may not be long, it often involves quite a change in lifestyle. Altitudinal migrants in the UK include skylarks, meadow pipits and snow buntings.

For example. once some waxwings have eaten all the berries in their usual 39

Diabetes We’ve known since the 1930s that type 2 diabetes can be prevented, arrested, and even reversed with a plant-based diet. Plant-based diets are relatively low in calories; is it possible that diabetes just got better because people lost weight? To see if plant-based diets have benefits beyond weight loss, we need a study where people are switched to a healthy diet but forced to eat so much they don’t lose weight. We waited 44

years for such a study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 1979, which you can see in my video How Not to Die from Diabetes on NutritionFacts.org. Subjects were weighed daily. If they started losing weight, they were made

to eat more. Without any weight loss, did a plant-based diet still help? Overall insulin requirements were cut about 60 percent, and half the diabetics were able to get off their insulin altogether - despite no change in weight. How many years did that take? Not years. An average of 16 days. We’re talking about diabetics who had had diabetes as long as 20 years and injected 20 units of insulin a day. Then, in as few as 13 days later, they were off their insulin, thanks to less than two weeks on a plant-based diet - even with zero weight loss. It’s astonishing. As a bonus, their cholesterol dropped like a rock to under 150. As noted in a 2010 study in Current Diabetes Reports, “moderate changes in diet usually result in only moderate reductions in LDL cholesterol levels.” But how moderate do you want your diabetes? “Everything in moderation” may be a truer statement than some people realise. Moderate changes in diet can leave diabetics with moderate blindness, moderate kidney failure, and moderate amputations. Moderation in all things is not necessarily a good thing. I often see patients complaining of sciatica. But what is it?

Sciatica

Mel Harrison

Sciatica is a “bucket term” that is used to describe the distribution of pain, that is caused when there is irritation to the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is a large nerve that originates in the spinal cord and runs through the lower back, buttock, down the back of the thigh and into the leg and foot. The symptoms of sciatica are associated with what the nerve innervates, for example, the muscles and the skin. Common symptoms of sciatica include, a sharp or constant, intense, dull pain, weakness and discomfort in the leg and back, as well as nerve pain such as burning, pins and needles, numbness, tingling and weakness. Pain is often worse for prolonged standing or sitting or when coughing or sneezing. Bending forward and twisting can also aggravate the pain.

The term sciatica doesn’t really explain the cause of the pain, as there are so many different reasons for sciatica, including a prolapsed or herniated disc, disc degeneration, arthritis of the spine, muscular spasm, spinal injuries, pelvic dysfunction and even serious conditions.

So how can osteopathy help? I can help determine the cause of the pain and what is the appropriate treatment for you to relieve your symptoms, including home advice and exercises.

Should I stay or should I go: move versus improve You may be surprised to hear UK homeowners are choosing to invest in their current property instead of moving, new research has shown. Specialist insurer Hiscox, has reported an impressive 400% increase in those deciding to improve rather than move in the past five years. Higher property prices, a lethargic market and uncertainty caused by Brexit have been cited as some of the biggest reasons for staying put. Renovations may seem as the easier and more economical option compared to moving, but is this strictly true? In some cases it’s not with two in five projects being overspent by an average of 20% and 35% during the last five years. Both time-consuming and a hefty financial commitment, the decision to move or improve shouldn’t be taken lightly and it’s never been more important to arm yourself with the right information to ensure you make an informed decision. Below is a list of key considerations you need to deliberate before taking your next step: The case for moving • Change of location: whether you’ve started a new job and want to lessen the commute, after a better school catchment area or want to live closer to your family, moving instead of renovating is easily the best option for you • Less destruction: packing, moving and then unpacking is an inconvenience; however, renovations (no matter how simple) can cause a lot of chaos and disruption to your daily routine for a prolonged period of time. For example, a paint job in the kitchen can take several days whereas an extension can take months • Renovating could overprice you out of the market: any work done to your property runs the risk of over-capitalising. This means even though the house itself offers a potential buyer more, it may be overpriced for the area in which it is located. If this is the case, it can be hard to sell in the future.

freedom to inject your own personal style, it will also add to the overall value of the property when you do come to sell it later on You can take your time: unlike moving which works to a specific timescale, some renovation projects can give you the flexibility to work to your own schedule. You are able to improve your property incrementally to meet the needs of your growing family as well as control the flow of costs.

If you’re still unsure which option is right for you, consult the experts. You can do this by gathering a series of quotes from professionally approved tradesmen, by seeking advice from your local planning office and by approaching local estate agents. Obtain a list of all the properties, which match your home criteria, currently available on the market. By doing so, you can make a calculated and informed decision before you commit financially. If you are considering renovating and need to borrow additional funds or simply would like to discuss your mortgage opinions, please contact us and arrange an appointment. THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE SECURING OTHER DEBTS AGAINST YOUR HOME. YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPLAYMENTS ON YOUR MORTGAGE.

The case for renovating • Make the space work for you: from the very beginning you have complete creative control over the design of your home and how you want it. This means you can tailor the property to how it would best suit you and your family without needing to compromise (unless planning permission permits you too) • Increase its value: whether it is a loft conversion, an open plan kitchen-diner or an extension, renovating your property not only gives you the

Join us today! Our networking events are rapidly growing and we have added more events that will bring greater opportunities to local businesses to engage, network and promote their products/services.

BuzzConnect Simple networking If you have come along to one of our events, you will have noticed the warm and welcoming approach that we take. We encourage everyone to get involved and promote what they do.

which covers our immediate costs with proceeds going towards our chosen charity. This year we have partnered with Colostomy UK.

BuzzConnect was created to bring people together and we believe that there should be no exclusions, no long-term contracts and no “performance pressure” such as speaking to the room and giving a 2-minute introduction about your company.

BuzzConnect Business networking is evolving, and it will continue to grow for years to come. Make sure you join the BuzzConnect Networking Group on Facebook, so you can share your company information for free and be part of a thriving business community.

Our monthly networking at Metro Bank is hugely popular and will always be free. However, our evening events have a small charge

We look forward to welcoming you to our events this year, contact us if you have any questions.
