Along with my group mates Christy and Marga, our prompt was to pick a brand that is no longer relevant or a brand that has a separate line that is underwhelming. Our group chose to do a revamp of Hugo Boss's line 'Hugo". The brand described this line as a 'hip, avant-garde line", but in reality there was nothing avant-garde about it. On the website, the merchandise was mostly basic streetwear with one patterned suit. My teammates and I decided to make it the avant-garde line. Hugo Boss is known for suits and tailoring, and the 'Hugo" line is marketed towards a more young progressive audience, we decided to make the line gender neutral with an 80's rock n roll twist to it. We created our textile patterns on virtual reality through 'Google Tilt Brush' and combined women's and men's flats to create a more avant-garde look. We designed a fragrance and packaging to go along with it.
