Inspiring the next generation of business leaders Entrepreneurship refers to an individual's ability to turn ideas into action. It includes creativity, sense of initiative, innovation and risktaking, as well as the ability to plan and manage projects in order to achieve objectives. The entrepreneurship competence includes therefore transversal skills and attitudes as well as more specialised knowledge and business skills. In a broad sense, entrepreneurship should be considered as a mindset that supports everyone in day-to-day life at home and in society, and provides a foundation for entrepreneurs establishing a social or commercial activity. Entrepreneurship is a key competence for lifelong learning, as defined in the 2006 European Framework for Key Competences. (The European Commission)

Inspiring entrepreneurs means getting into the mindset of ‘’do-it-now’’ attitude. With the right incentives, at the right time, many others have done it before us. In order to drive entrepreneurship, we have to look behind at role-models, women and men, and understand the practical connexions they made, learn from them, explore new ways and start creating our own. RISK TAKERS, CREATIVES, INNOVATORS, TECHNOLOGY Today, more jobs are being created by the development of technology than ever before. In fact, the very limit of growth is our creativity, innovation spirit and risk aversity that holds us back. The Digital Single Market of the European Commission’s action plan is an example of boundless opportunities for businesses that go beyond local policies.

What is a success story? When you think about your next breakthrough, you never want to hold back your imagination. It is the dream that catches you in the first place. Entrepreneurs are the ones who work for their dreams, improving their skills to fuel their way, overcoming obstacles, believing in themselves.

Success Stories are women and men who consider entrepreneurship a great career path and that set up a business on their own with intelligence, care and hard work. A success story is a story of trust and moving forward. It’s about young people who took their chance and seized the opportunities that were already there, making the most out of their resources. A success story is not linear: it has ups and downs. Failures are valuable learning experiences that no one should underestimate. Success stories are mentors for all of us, they are desirable examples that make you believe you are empowered to create your own success.

THE LINK BETWEEN JUNIOR ENTERPRISES AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP The Junior Enterprise is fundamentally one of the best forms of students associations adapted for the labour market. Through competent practice specific to work-like environment and autonomy and empowernment specific to start-ups, they have the proper conditions for agile thinking, confident entrepreneurs to feel prepared to make the first step.

The story of the project The project started in 2005, after a survey in the network showed that Junior Entrepreneurs are likely or very likely to start their own business right before or very soon after graduation.

WE AIM TO...

With this in mind, Success Stories took the shape of a brochure showing the ones that made it with their business. The brochure became the signature of the project, and so, between the 2005 and 2014 we had 6 editions.

...inspire Junior Entrepreneurs in JADE Network and young people in general to believe in their competence to start a business using role models as real examples; ...promote learning from failing at early stages of entrpreneurship, a natural process that prepares you for bigger challenges; ...connect the Junior Enterprise environment with the creation of companies, which is a proven and recognised best practice, also for employability.

In 2012 a study from the European Commission showed that Junior Entrepreneurs are the most efficient entrepreneurs compared to other students in Europe. In 2015, Success Stories turns its head to new faces of entrepreneurship.

Our priorities are also to:   

Empower women entrepreneurs; Promote innovative start-ups in fields such as IT&C; Give credit to and support already established businesses by our members.
