Testimonial

Adriana Anchidin President JADE ExBo 2014 adriana.anchidin@gmail.com

Being part of JADE Executive Board was a life changing experience and a decision I will never regret. As President of JADE, I had the opportunity to work with a team of around 14 people and 7 nationalities, to represent our network in front of high level representatives of the business and policy making world and to meet Junior Entrepreneurs from all over the world. I have many learned lessons from my JADE year from crisis management, to working with a diverse multicultural team, taking risks and knowing how to learn from failures or celebrate success. I often felt that someone had entrusted me with their business for a year and had to work alongside the team to make it grow. The environment is very entrepreneurial, dynamic and highly challenging, but this is what makes it so valuable. JADE is a skills accelerator – we could say that it is the best accelerator for your most important business – YOU. You have the chance to grow the network and grow yourself by doing it. Even today, I discover more and more skills develop in JADE, which help me in toughest situations. I can surely say it was my most intense and true team working experience. Learning how to trust your team, being able to put on the table your fears and vulnerabilities and conquering them together, getting to see the best in your team mates, but also the worst, and still feeling that they left a void in you when your term ended – this is an unforgettable experience. Take your chance and make your own great memories!

Testimonial “After being president of my Junior Enterprise and my national confederation, and having been able to experience how much the JE concept was changing the life of so many of my colleagues, I really wanted to give back to the movement at least part of that it had given me. The Junior Enterprise experience had taught me so much – in terms of professionalism, hard and soft skills… -‐ that I wanted it to be available to all the students around Europe. That was the spirit with which I applied to the JADE Executive Board in 2015, just to find out that the network could give me even more: the year in Brussels has been life-‐changing, both in professional and personal terms. When you are part of the JADE ExBo, you have the full responsibility of an organization that is impacting over 20,000 students in Europe, and has the ambition to change the lives of even more young people. You are the person whose job is to advocate for your fellow students’ needs in front of the main European institutions, and whose role is to explain to top-‐level companies what Junior Enterprises are all about – and why they will want our junior Entrepreneurs among their employees. You are the person that has the chance to talk, in one single day, with the Presidents of the European Parliament, Commission and Council, and who can make change the lives many young people promoting the creation of new Junior Enterprises in country where the concept is not yet present. You are the person that gets to talk in front of 3200+ Junior Entrepreneurs from all around the world, and to get inspired by each and every one of them to push for an even bigger and stronger network. You are the one that makes a difference

Daniela Runchi President JADE ExBo 2016 daniela.runchi@gmail.com

I knew applying to the JADE ExBo had been the best decision I could have taken even before moving to Europe’s capital: I found myself in front of the CEO of a huge multinational talking about the network I was about to represent, feeling all the 20,000+ Junior Entrepreneur in Europe standing beside me. It was an amazing and empowering feeling. And from there, it just got better.”

Testimonial My experience in JADE shaped my life both professionally and personally. Professionally, I was able to take my JE experience to a brand new level, to make an impact for the network, and work for a cause I believe in: the education of the next generation. JADE challenged me in many ways, pushed my boundaries, develop new skills. Holding a speech in the European Parliament, organizing a 300 participants events, managing a multicultural team did not only make me grow as a professional, they are also skills that make me more employable today. A year in JADE is a C-‐level experience that life only gives you once in a while!

Marion Depouilly Vice President JADE ExBo 2016 marion.depouilly@jadenet.org

Personally, I met fellow Junior Entrepreneurs from all over the world, who I can now call my friends. I was able to travel more in a year than all the rest of my life, to experience cultures at their best. JADE changed me as a person in a way no other experience did, and I believe I still did not realize the full impact of it.

Working and living in Brussels Working & living in Brussels-‐

Brussels is an old European city with lovely parks and secret little streets. You can find a wide variety of cultural activities and many international people. The HQ in Brussels, the capital of Europe, helps JADE to be closer to the European Institutions and some other international Headquarters of companies, which support our Network. The geographic location makes travelling around Europe really easy and cheap.

During the ExBo term of service (﴾1st August 2017 – 31st July 2018)﴿, the elected members move to JADE HQ in Brussels, Belgium. JADE HQ recently moved to a new house. On the ground floor there is the office and the kitchen. On the first floor there are 4 personal rooms for the ExBo members (﴾in case of a 5 people ExBo, one room will be shared)﴿. On the last floor there is a big room where the Brazilian ambassadors together with the Project Managers live. The work of JADE ExBo is voluntary, so unpaid. However, the ExBo members do not have to pay from their personal money for accommodation and utilities in JADE HQ, daily food, fees and transport to attend international and national events (﴾the amount though depends on the budget that can vary from year to year)﴿. Although they have to cover their personal expenses & night outs etc.. H
