What does it mean to be JADE’s Manager? David Gomes

As a Manager, you will work on a JADE project or area, aiming to develop and improve the European JE network. You will work under the guidance of the ExBo member responsible for your department, being part of JADE team and involved in JADE’s daily challenges. As such, you are expected to be a positive team player, showing commitment and effort. _____

It is your chance to contribute with your ideas and to develop yourself. David [Portuguese] is a people person, he always finds a way to make everyone comfortable. Besides that, he is a strategic thinker. Isabella [Italian] is very precise, she plans and works on a methodical approach. She is very open-minded. She has lived aboard, taking the most of multicultural environments. Diogo [Portuguese] is a team worker, he always tries to get the most out of the people he works with. He always looks at the Network as the main priority.

Alex [Italian] always tries to go out of his comfort zone, looking for new challenges to maximize the impact he can bring to the team. But,

It is crucial to define indicators, control them and collect data, in order to adjust the actions that are being done. That is why is so important to have YOU helping us gathering the information from all the countries. We are looking for an experienced training manager to monitor the training strategy, its implementation and assess its outcomes. You will identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable training, also gathering resources to Junior Entrepreneurs and Confederations.

As IT Director, you will be in charge of managing IT tools used by JADE and to improve them. Your focus will be in one hand to prepare a self-assessment tool for Confederations and, in the other hand, to improve the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of JADE website to increase its visibility.

Guillaume Menard IT Manager 2017 \ France

Jump from the JE level to work with the European team was logical for me because of my passion for the JE concept. At the time, it was not easy for me to move to Brussels. However, this was not an obstacle, as I could work remotely, from Nantes. Therefore, I was able to conciliate my daily life with my job in JADE. Being IT Project Manager allows you to work on many things and helping 300+ JEs in Europe, by improving the tools they use. I was involved in the organization of the JSC and with the JADE’s website management.

Working remotely, from your country

For most of the positions coming to live in Brussels is not mandatory: you can work from your home country while continuing your daily life. Obviously, you are more than welcome to join JADE Events and JADE House whenever you whish!

Although, you will be part of the Team just as any other Manager, and by such we expect from you the same level of reactivity and commitment. Managers working remotely are allowed to be committed in their JE’s Board.

What is the Manager training weekend

Manager training weekend in Brussels. (mandatory attendance)

You will attend both general training sessions on the way JADE works, and on specific topics related to your future functions as Manager.

7th-9th September

Moreover, you will have the opportunity of meeting the other Managers and to be integrated in JADE’s team.
