#myJEWC Contest

Ready to join a worldwide adventure? In 2016 the Junior Enterprise World Conference is back to Brazil, and will take place in Florian贸polis! The organizing team of JEWC 2016 has launched a campaign with the objective of gathering as many people as they can to create a theme for the event that really represents a global idea of the JE movement. Our idea is to generate inputs that will help the team to have a better understanding of what people from other countries expect the event to be and what they think it should represent for the movement in a global scale. So get together with other junior entrepreneurs and challenge the world with your ideas and perspectives!

The Task The participant groups have one very simple task: They must pretend they are organizing JEWC 2016 in Brazil and create a theme for the event. The idea is to discuss their own realities as junior entrepreneurs and use local perspectives of the JE movement to create a global concept. The idea transmitted with the theme should be something that creates guidelines or a questioning around the following question: How could the JE movement change the world? During the process, the organization team of JEWC 2016 will provide you assistance, tips and suggestions through email.

The Task

The document that must be sent is a text (pdf format) that describes your work, with a maximum of 2 pages containing the following topics:

Theme -the actual theme that you created. Your ideas, principles and approaches brought down to one phrase.

Slogan - a complementary phrase that helps to send away the message of your theme.

Explanations - here is where you want to focus on. This section must describe how did you get to the theme and explain all of its meaning. With respect to the video, you are free to structure it as you like. The only requisite is that you must present the concepts and ideas you created in a clear and concise way. We are looking for a creative but crisp concept or idea. Think out of the box, but be concise.

The Evaluation

The applications will be evaluated by 3 judges and will receive scores from 0 to 100 following the grid below:

Local alignment (40 points) - The main idea of the contest is to build concepts that would represent different perceptions of junior entrepreneurs from each country or region around the globe. So the first thing that will be considered is how did the group linked local perceptions from their countries to a global concept for the JE movement.

The Evaluation

Internationalization (20 points) - We want different realities to confront within a group, so the more mixed up a group is, the better. If a group has 3 people from 3 different countries, 20 point will be given. If the group has 2 different nationalities, 10 points. If everyone is from the same country, there will be no points for this topic.

Well-based content (20 points) - It is important to support your arguments on concrete arguments. Try to gather information from notorious or well experienced figures and base your statements in facts or researches as much as possible.

Creativity (10 points) - We would love to hear some unexpected and innovative ideas, not the same old thoughts. JEWC 2016 will be a unique event, and it’s theme should follow that.

Objective (10 points) - The theme you created must have a strong sense of meaning. It must be something that has a story behind it and that would drive people through the event.

Creativity (10 points) - We would love to hear some unexpected and innovative ideas, not the same old thoughts. JEWC 2016 will be a unique event, and it’s theme should follow that.

Important Considerations

From April 18, 2015 to May 9, 2015 you need only to register. Only after that date and until the May 23, 2015 we will be giving further orientations for the registered groups. Anyhow, if you want to start working on your project, that is up to you. Keep in mind that the final deadline to finish your work is May 23, 2015. From the end of the registration period until the applications submitting deadline, our team will be communicating with the participants through email. We will be giving away orientations, tips, suggestions and also be available to answer any question that one may have.

The Prize

- The best answer according to judges will be considered winner, and the 3 members of the group will be rewarded with a complete registration at JEWC 2016 each. That includes full participation on the event’s activities, hotel reservations and meals. - All participants of the contest will receive a certificate of engagement for their own JE, that represents Brasil Junior’s and JADE’s gratitude for the meaningful help that will be provided for the JE movement as a global concept. - The prizes that will be awarded to the eligible winners are not transferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize.

Important Considerations

None of the themes created in this contest will be used as a real theme for JEWC 2016. The idea is to get a greater understanding of the mindset from junior entrepreneurs from all over the world, so then we can create a theme that better represents our movement.

Any doubts should be sent to the email jewc2016@brasiljunior.org.br
