RENEWING
Your
MIND
Doing life, the way it is written, in Jesus name.
I
By Lisa L. Trujillo
reached a point in my life, recently, where I discovered I was walking in sin and was completely unaware. My heart had been deceived and was
causing me to remain stagnant in my walk with the Lord. Follow me on
this revelation journey...
Not long ago, I was speaking to my mentor about a personal issue and a scripture that I had been seeing repeatedly for about two weeks. I was thinking it was for a situation I was in, but in her revelation, from the Holy Spirit, it was a scripture directed at me and my stagnation. Mark 11:22-25, 23 Say unto this mountain, be moved. The mountain that needed to be moved was the things that were harbored in the deep recesses of my heart... blockage, I needed a heart transplant. As, I pondered on what I needed to write for my first article, it dawned on me, I need to get back into agreement with what the Lord has said. This realization that my heart issues will be turned around as I seek the Lord and begin to renew my mind and think on his truths about my life; open heart surgery. Romans 12:2 New International Version (NIV) 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. You’re probably asking yourself many questions some of the few that I believe you may have are these, I could be wrong but these are the ones that come to mind: Heart Transplant: • What does renewing your mind mean? • What does it look like? • Why do we have to renew our mind? Renewing your mind means; thinking differently than the world thinks. Begin to see life in a new light, by protecting what goes into your spirit. DELIVERED FROM
THE SPIRIT
of ADDICTION By Theresa Skinner
In order to be delivered from the spirit of addiction we must address the real root.

here are many faces to addiction, all are only a deception from the enemy. In order to be delivered from the spirit of addiction the real root we must address. Becky Dvorak writes in an article for Charisma magazine:” addiction is real. It’s like a wrecking ball destroying individuals, marriages, families, businesses, ministries, communities, cities and even nations”. Alcoholism and drug addiction is a family disease, it tears down the very core of family with its destructive course. In 2016 it was estimated globally, around 164 million people had an alcohol or drug use disorder. It was evident at a young age I suffered from a deeply wounded soul, alcohol was just a symptom of my false reality. Years of abuse and self-inflicted pain immobilized me, preventing me to move on and function in a way that is acceptable to society. Anger and resentments flooded me like water rushing through a broken dam, logic was sweep away with the rushing sound of waves, not a reminiscent of rationality remained. Fear overwhelmed me and darkness draped me like a snow covered mountain. I found myself once again confined to the prison I created in my mind, just me and my cellmates, myself and I. Old worn photos revealed my outer scares, my actions exposed my inner scares. The mirror would bring to light and uncover the depth of my shattered soul. Silent cries from within, who would hear me? Was I alone in a place of brokenness and deception? Was my only outlet the temporary relief of my drug induced reality, was I a produce of my environment, doomed to a life of obscurity? It is written in John 10:10 “the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” but Jesus said “I have come that we may have life, and have it to the full”. Alcohol stole my self-worth, my family and my
marriage, I was just one of many in the world suffering from the effects of what society would call a disease, a spiritual malady. I was existing in a world that I did not understand, everything around me screamed you’re not good enough, you’re not smart enough, and no one loves you. Subsequently, my lack of knowing my identity due to the absence of my parents and the lack of the word love. I aimlessly wondered through life, with no real direction or leadership, I often lived through the eyes of others, adopting the characteristics of famous TV characters from I Dream of Jeannie. The events that were happening in my life lead me to believe the lies of the enemy. Because of the physical, emotional and mental abuse that lingered from generation to generation left me empty and rejected. I made damaging decisions that affected everyone around me. I suffered from the spirit of rejection, rejection was the root of my addiction. Rejection affected every area of my life, stealing and killing every relationship in my way. Too weak to stop and too afraid to continue, I was on a path of destruction, annihilating everything in my pathway. Family, friends, and jobs all seemed to fit into a shot glass. Consequently, my seemingly hopeless state of mind ended when Jesus left the 99 to come after me (Matthew 18:12) Jesus found me in a gutter, despair and hopelessness was my only friend. Jesus said” you did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit” (John 15:16). May 23rd 2003, after years of pain, I came to the end of myself and cried out to the Lord to save me and He did. God used my trial to help others, mainly women who through addiction have lost their identity. I learned by way of the bible my identity and to trust in the Lord, I’m not saying it’s easy, I am saying it’s possible through Jesus Christ, He laid it all down at the cross to redeem you and me. Jesus is the bridge between man

and God, the Truth, the Way and the Life (John 14:6) What is impossible for man is possible with God (Luke 18:27) Jesus says we are a child of the most High (John 1:12), we are the branch of the true vine, and a conduit of Christ’s life (John 15:1, 5). Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of our faith produces patience (James 1:2-3 NKJV). I may not understand trials and yes, they are painful,
but if I choose to trust God He will make my crooked places straight (Isaiah 45:2 KJV). I believe God uses pain as a motivator to help others, trust Him, do Kingdom work and bring the lost to Christ. It’s not how or where you start, it’s about how you finish. This is my testimony of God’s goodness and Grace!

THE IMPORTANCE
Single Season OF YOUR
By Hanah M. St.Rose
W
ho told you that your single season is supposed to be filled with constant comparing and frustration? Who told you that your single season is supposed to be filled with worry and lack of direction? God wants you to understand the importance of your single season and how he has so much to offer you during this time. Have you felt alone or feel like no one understands? I know exactly what this season is all about because I am in this season myself. I have been single for over 7 years and the Lord is constantly showing me so much. A few years ago I remember there were times where I didn’t understand why my future husband didn’t find me. I had to stop worrying about when my future husband would come. I had to ask God to show me the real meaning behind this season. I clearly remember calling out to God wanting to help women know the importance of this powerful season. I wanted women to know that this season is a gift. You might have dreamed about your wedding day. You might remember talking with your friends about your future marriage.
SUMMER 2019 WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN
Don’t throw your dreams away, but call out to God during your prayer time to open your eyes to see what he has for you regarding your future marriage. If there is a strong desire to get married please don’t let it go. You may feel like you keep doing the same things and see no results. There is no easy process and you will have to go through a time of preparation. There were women of God in the Bible who went through preparation. Esther went through so much because of who she was, but she took up the call that was set in front of her. (Esther 4:16) Ruth left what she knew to follow the Lord and God blessed her for it. (Ruth 1:16) You may feel like your relationship with God is shaky or you might not be a child of God. God wants you to come to him and go on this journey. There are 3 main keys that will guide you daily. The main key points I have noticed that God is highlighting in this single season are perspective, purpose and preparation. God wants to give you a new perspective. You may feel like you can’t see what God is doing in this season or what he is trying to teach you. In order to get a clear perspective you must go to God who will give you clarity. (Psalm
| 15
www.wewmagazine.com
16 | 119:18) In order to get a clear perspective you will have to get a understanding of the word of God. If you take time each day to apply the word of God you will see change. God will change your perspective on relationships and life. God will help you become a Godly woman with the right perspective. The next key you will learn in this season is purpose. You may feel like you are trying to understand your purpose. There is purpose now for you. The purpose behind this season is to know God and to know yourself in a greater way. Ask yourself daily these 3 things. What is God showing me? What is one thing that stood out today? Am I reflecting or complaining? You have to remember that the desire for a spouse is a gift and a blessing, but don’t make it an idol. The plan God has for you manifest at God’s time. Seeking your purpose with the Lord won’t guarantee you a mate, but seeking your purpose with God can guarantee stability in your identity and truth in your journey. (Matthew 6:33) The next key is preparation. Are you allowing God to prepare you? God is trying to prepare you during this single season mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. Preparation will bring the elevation and wisdom you need to walk this season out correctly. Sometimes, you may think that when you go through different experiences that God is trying to punish you. God isn’t punishing you, but equipping you for the season you are in and for your future marriage. This season may last for a few months or a few years, but it doesn’t mean
that God is trying to keep you from what you desire. I realized in my own life that there were areas in my heart that needed healing. You may not see it, but your heart is being molded by the Lord. God wants to restore and heal you. (Psalm 147:3) You might be wondering what can come from this season? Joy can come and it won’t go away quickly. Deeper intimacy in the Lord can come in this season. There are different levels of intimacy God wants to show you even when you think that your past season with God wasn’t good. You will be able to interact with God and people better. Intimacy with the Lord requires trust and saracfice. You will be able to receive healing from rejection and trauma. You will be authentic in Christ and real. Freedom will come and anything hindering you will leave. (2 Corinthians 3:17) During your single season you can learn about reflection, wisdom and knowing what true love really is from the Lord. Reflection with God can bring great reverence towards God. Choosing to reflect on his love and what God has done for you will help you appreciate God. You will receive wisdom from God that will help you make right choices. Ask God the deep questions about yourself, your family and even your future. (Jeremiah 29:11) God wants you to experience his love and you don’t have to earn it. The love of God is unconditional. (1 John 4:7-21) I pray that you will know that this season is significant. This season is setting you up for the next season. You must know that you can be content in this journey.

i n A uline
Founder of The Mentoring Group For Interntional Women
Tell us about Jacqueline Ani, who is she?
transformational leadership coach. I am also known as a spiritual midwife.
Jacqueline is a fighter, who refuses to walk in the confinement of the status quo, she has suffered many trials, but still sees hope in her tomorrow. She does not accept defeat When I asked my daughter Kimberly, she said and I quote “she is my mum, and she’s very inspiring and helps me get through hard times, and I am very proud of her. When I asked our 2nd daughter Katherine, she said and I quote “she is my mother and teaches people and stands in front of a lot of women and deals with them if they’re having husband trouble”….. (Laughs) it’s funny how people associate me to issues with marriage, but I guess I was designed for this message….Marriage!
What has been your defining moment?
I believe I’m free to be me and being me means being creative with all that I have within me.
How would you describe you role within society? I am a wife, mother, entrepreneur, author, lecturer, prophetic mentor and
When I discovered my purpose and that is to empower women to be all that God has called them to be.
How did you know this was your life’s calling? I didn’t, I remember in 2002, I was going through a lot of trials in my life, it didn’t rain it poured, it’s like everything that I could ever think of that I didn’t want to face is what I had to face, and I couldn’t cope. I was a Christian and I was in church every day 24/7, I wasn’t married then, so being in church as a young single woman was the best place to be… I would seek clarity, understanding from my pastors and members in the church, but no one could give me the clarity that I needed to get me out of the trials I was facing. Not getting the answers and the clarity I www.wewmagazine.com
20 | needed drove me to God Himself, I would stay in His Presence for hours just to get to know Him. That’s where I discovered part of my purpose to empower women.
What were some of the trials you were facing that pushed you into God’s Presence?
take of the blessings of the Kingdom and not turn a blind eye. There are some things we must do and some things we must allow God to do to bring about His Promises in our lives. My main trials have always been around finances and I am learning that there is a principle to having money and using it wisely, especially if you’re called to build the Kingdom of God here on earth. The story of the Unjust Steward gave me some insight to the kind of trials we can encounter if we are misusing God’s finances.
There were many, relationship problems, I wanted to be married, financial issues, I wasn’t earning enough to cover my bills and I had also started my own business and being a new business wasn’t breaking even and as such couldn’t cover "There are some What would you say my overheads. Then there were other must allow God to I would say that women issues such as family back in face so much in the area do" Africa wanting more from me of relationships and I am and I couldn’t be there for talking romantically. From everyone. child hood, a woman has been taught that to be accepted in society is to be in a How did you handle this? romantic relationship, this is what defines I took a step back and started looking at her. But it shouldn’t. We spend all our time, my life and what I also did to open doors of talking about meeting a man who will solve trials that I didn’t have to go through, and I our every need in life. Women go to church realised that not operating from a place of because they want God to bless them responsibility and accountability can affect with a God-fearing man or because their in the long run. So, I had to be honest with husband isn’t conforming to their ideals, God and ask Him to teach me His Ways and they want God to sort him out, we become put me on the path to righteousness, and self-righteous, thinking we know God more I did whatever God said I should do in His than the men, especially if he isn’t attending Word. church. I understand that women have a to make a woman happy. That is a tall order different perception to life and they must for a human being especially a man to live be educated to know the difference. That’s up to. They also want to know God, they what the Kingdom is about, it’s about want to have inner Joy, they want to stop knowing what our responsibility is to part running from their own fears and they want

to be covered. There are so many conflicting messages about marriage and as such we marry what we believe marriage is and get disappointed years down the line. It’s not the same with every marriage, but it seems to be an epidemic in this dispensation. I would also add that a woman seeking God for answers in this area isn’t the same as a woman going to church to seek answers. Many in the church have provided misleading information about what to do when a marriage isn’t going well, and it has affected a whole family. Therefore, the ideal is to go to God for answers and direction. I strongly believe that God is changing this notion of what a woman thinks she really wants in a marriage. Marriage is a good thing, however the need to align oneself with God is more important, the need to discover purpose is the ultimate, because when you discover your purpose as a single woman or married, it directs you to the person who is equipped to propel you into purpose, whether they’re in church or not. It’s about the purpose, God’s Will for every person who accepts His Son as Lord.
What is the role of a spiritual midwife? They can differ, but I can tell you what I believe God has called me to do and that is to help people birth their dreams, purpose, that idea that has been roaming around in their hearts. As you know it is God who downloads His purpose in our lives, my role as a spiritual midwife is to reconnect them to their purpose through Christ so that they see the possibilities of God doing what He said He will do. Birthing an idea may look easy but it isn’t. Many conceive purpose in their hearts, but many don’t have an idea on how to birth their purpose. Many sabotage it because there isn’t a manual, it is purely a supernatural thing and it takes grace for
this to happen. I have seen many abort, miscarry and lose their ideas, because they didn’t understand their season and what they need to do to ensure a successful delivery of an idea. My role is to strengthen women spiritually to birth their idea, that is also a continuation of the Messiah’s work. To build them up to fulfil their purpose. Titus 2:3-5 says this about the older women, and what I mean by older women are those who are spiritually mature and spiritual maturity has nothing to do with age. I have also identified that the enemy is after the family unit and women are to be equipped in this dispensation to deal with the attacks of the enemy is this mountain.
What has been your testimony in marriage? As a single woman I was one of those who wanted to be married so much it was my daily prayer and after 10 years of praying, God honoured it! My marriage has been my challenge and it has also brought me closer to God, it’s what has propelled me into what I do, and my messages surround it. After 7 years of marriage, I faced a separation and I went back to God and He said I should stand for His Promise doesn’t change and that His son my husband will be back. After 16 months my husband came back as God promised, that is my testimony, I stood to see God’s salvation in my life and I am happy to say that simply because His Grace made it so. You see, I wanted to be married and God granted it, but I also had to stand for what He granted, we must work at our relationships so that He is glorified and its also an encouragement to others who go through the ins and outs of marital problems. We are called to over come these through Christ and not submit to the lies and deceit. We need to see beyond what we see physically, we must show the true God to others and we do it through www.wewmagazine.com

How do you reach the women you empower? We have an online group called The Mentoring Group for International Women on Facebook. It’s growing daily, the women are from all over the world and the group is about mentoring and building them up to mentor, to teach other women how to pursue, overtake and recover all so that they experience Baal Perazim the Master of Breakthrough (2nd Samuel 5:20). There are quite a few activities in the group and we are all growing, but most importantly discovering God’s will for our lives.

Do you have any last-minute words for our readers? We are in a great period as women, there’s so much opportunity out there to grab a hold of, it’s not only for us, but for our families too. Therefore, we must be aware of our season, aware of open doors and aware of those who’ve been sent for us to partner with. We are called to be successful in every area of our lives, the more you develop your spirit man to hear God, the more of His direction you will operate in. WARDR ESSE
A
s women leading busy lives, we all want to look and feel good. Whether it's when we’re out socialising with our friends or at work with our colleagues or being our own boss. We see images on social media and magazines of other women wearing the latest styles and looking confident with their lives in perfect order. This image of others can make us look at our own style and image and wish it was more polished and put together! I know from my own experiences and what I have discovered working with many women is that we can instantly feel stylish and confident, simply by adding a few key pieces to our wardrobe. You really don't need to splash out on designer pieces or have a wardrobe full of clothes to look more stylish and put together. With the right pieces you can create multiple outfits that you will look forward to wearing because they make you look and feel good and increase your confidence! I have discovered that with 10 simple pieces, you can actually create the foundation of your dream wardrobe in a style that reflects your personality and lifestyle. These pieces are 'wardrobe essentials' that basically ‘glue’ your outfits together! They're also worth investing in as they can be worn season after season and mixed with the latest fashionable pieces.

Quality Blazer
1.
A blazer is a wardrobe staple that can be dressed up or down. Regardless of your personal style, a blazer has a home inside your wardrobe. Invest in a quality blazer that can easily be worn with a pair of jeans and flats or with your favourite little black dress.
2.
Buttoned Shirt or Blouse A buttoned shirt or blouse is another wardrobe essential that can be dressed up or down. If you're looking for a formal look, you can wear a buttoned shirt with a smart skirt or trousers or with a pair of jeans for a smart/casual look. A silk blouse is an ideal alternative to a buttoned shirt, to give a softer yet stylish feel to your look
3.
White T-Shirt
A simple white t-shirt can be dressed up with your favourite patterned scarf or statement necklace and smart trousers or worn casually with a pair of jeans. Choose a slogan t-shirt to make a statement and express your personal style!

Long Sleeved Top A long sleeved top whether the classic striped breton style or plain, a long sleeved top is an essential piece for those days where you require sleeves for your casual or smart/casual look. Express your personal style with detailing on the cuffs or sleeves.
5. 6.
Smart Trousers or Skirt A smart pair of trousers or skirt in a neutral colour such as a black, navy or beige is ideal for a formal event or meeting or with a silk top for a girls night out! Choose a mid to high rise to fit and flatter the waistline and to avoid the dreaded 'muffin top' look!
Jeans A pair of jeans is another wardrobe essential that we can rely on time and time again! I love to wear my favourite pair with a blazer and heels for a casual work meeting or for evening drinks. If you only have one pair, choose one in a dark rinse as this colour can effortlessly be worn all year round. Take the time to choose a style that fits and flatters your shape as the right pair can be hard to find!

TRENDS O

ame Sex Marriage. Cohabitation. Common Law Marriage. Divorce. Traditional Marriage. Are these the new trends of marital relationships? Has marriage become outdated? In a study conducted by Time Magazine and Pew Research Center (2010), they found that 39 percent of Americans say that marriage is becoming obsolete. On what can be considered the happiest day in a couple’s life, the clergy or judge declares, what God has joined together, let, no one separate and yet some members of society now consider it outdated. Our values, thought processes, and moral code have changed considerably over the past few years. We have lost something as a people when we place a higher value on an advanced degree or a higher paying job

than we do on relationships. At the end of the day, many aspire to be married, but they must first understand what marriage entails. What is marriage? Is it a contractual agreement between two people? Or is it something of greater significance? Based on Biblical standards, it is a covenant between a man and a woman. Covenant is agreement between man and God that is sacred. The sharp decline on the Biblical principle of marriage has left a distorted view of family. Over the last few decades, there has been a decay in how we look at marriage. The face of marriage has truly changed since Adam and Eve in the garden. Many people are pushing forward with their ideals of what marriage should be, regardless of the principles established thousands of years ago.

became somewhat of an anthem for many couples and living together became the norm. Living together or cohabitation has been around since the 1960s and 70s. This is known as the Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll era. Free love was on the heart of the people and everyone had the attitude of “if it feels right then do it. Regrettably, this trend is still very popular and couples have the benefits of marriage; however, there is no covenant of marriage or the Biblical principles that follow. Although times have changed, this setting remains popular, marriages have declined and yet cohabitation is on the rise. In fact, over 20% of Americas in 2016 were living together though not married. According to Pew Research (2017), cohabiters are normally between the ages of 25 and 35 and typically financially unstable; however, living together has increased for adults over the age of 50. Rising divorce rates play a huge part of the increase in the cohabiters above the age of 50. Many have decided that marriage has not worked for them previously, so they choose to
enter into a non-marital relationship. Desires to be in a marital relationship without the commitment of marriage is like walking out of the grocery store without paying for the groceries. I may get what I want, but do I receive all the benefits that come with it, mainly a clear conscience and not to mention the legal benefits. Common law marriage or “marriage like” status is a marital trend that is slowly dissipating. This relationship practice is rooted in old English law, but it is only still practiced in a few states here in America. Basically, a couple decides to cohabitate and after a period of time they are considered man and wife. No rings. No clergy or judge. No big wedding party of any kind. Although, to many this sounds perfect, but what are the repercussion of such a co-existence. As with the cohabiters, they will lack the covenant bond of a marriage couple. There is no substitute for commitment. Either you are committed or you are not.

ver time the government’s spending on skills and training has fallen and so has our ranking across the world. England is now ranked 14th for literacy and 18th for numeracy by the QECD’s survey of adult skills. The UK also remains below the average on spending in training and education within the EU based on GDP. Therefore, I feel the short fall has got to be picked up by employers, recruiters and training providers as we have a duty to upskill our country’s workforce, especially those that are long term unemployed to increase social mobility and diversity within our communities. A recent Survey by Robert Walters published in 2017, found that 85% of employers say that increasing diversity in their workforce is a priority and 73% of employers believe diversity is important to encourage creative and innovative thinking within the company so if we can upskill the overlooked talent and leaders of tomorrow, I truly belief that we can make a big difference to those individuals.

hat is spiritual etiquette? As, I began to research this topic, the Holy Spirit revealed its a lot of things that make up spiritual etiquette, but in a clear understanding it is the character of God. Behaviors are the key foundation, how we act whether in public or private are key revelations to our Spiritual Etiquette. We should be the same at all times, no matter where we are, be who God has transformed us to be. Our actions and words reveal our Holy Spirit; etiquette. The Bible calls us to be Christ like, so I want to focus on one important Spiritual Etiquette: Words, how they are used. The bible has a lot to say about our words and how it can change a situation with little effort. SPEAK LIFE, which is also known as speak the words of God.
SUMMER 2019 WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN
THE SP ETIQUE The Father, wants us to speak the things, He says. When we speak the word of God, things begin to manifest (happen). When the word of God is spoken, truth is spoken and no one can accuse you of lying, because your words can be found out, backed up by the word, itself. Our words can give life or death. Our words can heal, can cause harm, give hope, cause despair, move mountains, build mountains, make or break a relationship, there is power in the tongue. Words have both a positive and negative
SPIRITUAL ETIQUETTE
affect, which is why you will find in the Bible this one IMPORTANT scripture: Matthew 12:36 New International Version (NIV) But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. Spiritual etiquette is doing the will of God in our actions and for the sake of this article our WORDS. Let me give you something to challenge yourself with to know that what I speak is truth. Health, health is a very important thing in life. All types of attacks on our health can come against us, but when we begin to profess the word of God over our illness with belief and no doubt we begin to see the manifestation of wholeness take place. are faced with today, whether it be physical, mental, emotional, spiritual; seek out scripture speak those words out loud and truly believe with every fiber of your being that what you say is true and will come to pass, then watch the manifestation. I am going be transparent; I suffered from Bi-polar for decades before I knew the Lord. Once our relationship was established and I got a hold of His truths and understood God does not want suffering of any kind, (His Son did all the suffering once and for all), I got into agreement with His word and was HEALED. Begin to decree and declare over yourself the things God has said about you. Speak those words out loud continuously. When you feel pressure, stress, ill, doubt, defeated, whatever the lies the enemy wants you to believe as truth, counter attack it with the word of God. God watches over his word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:12 New International Version (NIV) The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching[a] to see that my word is fulfilled. His words do not return to Him void. Isaiah 55:11 New International Version (NIV) So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Are you aware of the Angels that are sent to do the work of the Lord on your behalf? When we speak the word of God we activate our Angel to bring the manifestation down to earth, read Daniel 10:13. Psalm 103:20 New International Version (NIV) Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.

Let us get into agreement with the word of God and begin to see all of His promises manifest in our lives. These are not just words on paper they are living and active words, designed to bring the Heavens down to Earth in our everyday lives. We are called to be good stewards of the Lord, this includes using our words in the proper context and living righteously. We should use our words to edify the body of Christ instead of crushing the spirit of a new Christian.
Hebrews 4:12 New International Version (NIV) For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. The condition of our hearts can drive us to a place that will cause our words to be hurtful, They say hurt people, hurt people. I truly believe this to be a fact. When we are healthy our lives prosper, our souls are refreshed, and our lives are filled with the things of God. In Jesus name, be blessed.

Helpmeet FOR THE
By Yvette Benton
I
dropped to my knees and said, “I surrender, and I will be still and know you are God (Psalm 46:10) as you have asked of me. I clearly don’t know what I am doing, and I need HELP!” When I was going through the most difficult time in my life the Lord spoke to me very clearly. My marriage was seemingly over. My husband left me with our house in foreclosure because of his unemployment that he hid from me for months. He wouldn’t take or return my calls and my phone tracker showed he was in the middle of Kansas somewhere, but we lived in Florida. I was embarrassed, angry, frustrated and tired of hearing God say to pray for him. I didn’t know of anyone that openly dealt with what God was asking me to do and it was harder than anything I had ever been faced with. The night I surrendered, I told God I wanted His perfect will for my life. I knew it was going to require change, but I had tried it my way long enough. After I sobbed and stopped feeling sorry for myself, I felt like the Holy Spirit said, “FINALLY!” I reacted like a victim and said, “I’m a good wife and I do this and that better than most.” God’s reply changed my life. He said, “Yvette you are a good wife, but I created you to be a Helpmeet. Gerald needs a Helpmeet that
SUMMER 2019 WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN
is suitable” I didn’t even know what that meant. As a person who studies words, I was intrigued so I began to study what a Helpmeet was, and God was SO RIGHT (as always). I was not a Helpmeet and the journey began. While my marriage was crumbling my career was improving. I had earned my third college degree, been promoted to an Assistant Principal position. I was growing in ministry as an Assistant Pastor and life seemed great from the outside. My husband was my best friend and we truly loved one another but he was secretly battling lust and perversion, generational curses, trauma, drugs and alcohol addictions. As we grew in the Apostolic and Deliverance ministry, his addictions and sinful lifestyle were exposed, and our marriage was in trouble. My husband started suffering from Depression, increasing the drug use, losing jobs and we grew apart. We argued, separated and he threatened to divorce me. When I gave God a “Yes!” He gave me strength, strategies, prayers and revelation about becoming a Helpmeet Suitable. My study and journey, to my surprise, was so much more about me, my ministry and my healing than it was about my husband. As I allowed God to reveal His will to me,

He exposed my trauma, generational curses and characteristics that did not line up with His Word. He showed me my anger, rejection, rebellion, judgmental spirit and ignorance to my disobedience. I realized I had spent so much time praying about how God needed to “fix” my husband that I failed to realize all He was trying to do in ME! Through much prayer and fasting, I learned who God called me to be. My Helpmeet study brought me to the second chapter of Genesis. When God created all things, He called them “good”. However, when He created man (Adam) He said it was not good for him to be alone and He created A HELPER. In the Amplified version Genesis 2:18 says a “Helper Suitable”. That is when I fully understood what the Holy Spirit was trying to tell me. I had to become suitable for my husband. He needed me and God was counting on me to do what He created me to do. I got closer to God and He gave me strategies to help me understand and operate in my role as a Helpmeet while bringing deliverance and clarity to my gifts and calling. My relationship with God grew in a way I honestly don’t think it would have without the trauma I went through in my marriage. I learned to love my husband like God loves him. I found out that I had not respected him and his position in the household and God taught me order and unconditional love through my deliverance. Slowly my husband
noticed my changes and we reconciled. When we reconciled, the real work began. I assisted him in his deliverance, while loving, honoring and respecting him at his lowest time. Through the grace of God, diligent work, faith and prayer, my husband got delivered and set free. Now, we minister, counsel and mentor others. God has blessed us with a marriage and deliverance ministry. We share marriage tips on our Facebook and other social media outlets. We offer online counseling and webinars to help teach the biblical roles of a husband as the Priest, Prophet and King and the wife as a Helpmeet. My book and workbook/ journal set “Help for the Helpmeet” are a resource written of my journey and strategies were recently published. We recently held a conference in Atlanta to teach, train and impart the mandate that God has given us to bring “Help and Hope” to His people through marriage teaching, restoration and preparation. We are working diligently to bring healing to families and break generational curses of divorce and dysfunction. I’m excited to share that my husband Gerald and I celebrated our 19th Anniversary and our marriage is stronger than it was before our trauma. To God be the glory!

MAN THE
K INGD OM By Gerald Benton
'Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.' Genesis 1:26-27
M
any men either don’t understand or don’t care about God’s original plan. I was one who didn’t understand who I was in God for a long time. Being a Kingdom man was not something I was taught growing up. What I often saw were religious acts preformed weekly which ultimately served a very self-seeking purpose. Who is a Kingdom man? Is it the man who preaches a sermon on Sunday but leads a secret life of perversion and addictions every other day? Is it the man who goes to work every day to provide for his family and goes to church every now and then? Is it the man who goes to church but rarely says anything about who God is to his family? Growing up I saw all these examples and ultimately became a combination of them. It took many years before I truly understood what a Kingdom Man was. Becoming a Kingdom Man cannot happen until we, as men, go back to who God originally designed us to be. I believe most men have an image of what a Kingdom Man should be. It often seems so unlike who they have become, that they think it is not
possible to obtain. The question we must ask ourselves is when I look over my life and my choices, who do they resemble, God or satan? It is hard to image yourself looking like satan but if we are truly honest with ourselves, we will see what we have become. What a blessing it is to know that we don’t have to stay in that position. Jesus offers us deliverance to get back to God’s original plan for us. It takes work, commitment and faith but it is possible through Christ. To begin men must study what the Bible says is our role. God has established in His Word for men to do certain things as leaders of the family. They must serve as the Priest, Prophet and King. The Priest petitions God on the behalf of his family and brings those he leads before God in prayer. The Prophet represents God to his family and those He is called to lead. He declares God’s word over them to establish their destiny and purpose. The King rules over the Kingdom (home). He leads and protects all those that God has entrusted to him. Jesus demonstrated these qualities as the son of God, so as Kingdom Men we must also operate with these same attributes for Kingdom living. www.wewmagazine.com
48 | The scripture also explains that God created man and woman to operate together. God once told me I could not do anything successfully without the help of my wife. As much as I have tried in the past to get around that concept, I am learning to understand that God wanted me to operate in His original plan for me. For those that are not married the goal is to be “married” to God until He shows you the perfect person to marry that will be your Helpmeet suitable. This is God’s plan for His Kingdom. Until we fully understand and obey this process, we will not experience the Kingdom Family. To become and remain a Kingdom man we must renounce any thoughts, characteristics or sins that are contrary to the Word of God. Our lives must line up with the earthly example of Jesus. I am reminded of the old saying, “what would Jesus do?” (WWJD). If we truly asked ourselves that question and committed to doing them, we would grow to become true Kingdom Men. Studying Jesus guides us in understanding what a Kingdom Man looks and acts like. Jesus was the perfect example of a Kingdom man. I had to learn this the hard way. Picking and choosing what part of the Bible I was going to live was one of my biggest downfalls. Making ungodly decisions costs many men their families and their destinies. John 14:6 -Jesus said to him, “I am the
way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. As we submit to believing that Jesus is the way to the father and model our lives after Him, we would have true victory over sin and generational curses. Matthew 16:24-25 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For most of my life, I didn’t want to deny myself. I was a prideful man who was dealing with a generational curse. I had to get delivered from pride before I could deal with the other sins in my life. Sins and pride made it hard for others to follow when I wanted to lead. In my journey to become a Kingdom Man I learned to take up my cross and follow Jesus. To be a Kingdom man it requires the ability to follow the instructions of the one who created the heavens and earth. Although the task may be long and very challenging, I pray that more men will make the decision to follow the voice of God and be all that He created them to be. God bless those that are operating in their roles and I declare they will have the desire, wisdom and strength to help other men reach their goal of becoming a Kingdom Man, as well.

so hard to fit in the mold of the world. You were not created for that. God thinks so much more of you. Esther, a Jewish girl God used to save her people. She didn’t have the best life starting off, she became an orphan at a young age
| 51 being raised by her uncle Mordecai. She learned about her place amongst God’s people. This young lady grew to be a beautiful young woman. At this time the king was in search of a wife, her beauty caught the attention of the king’s advisors. She became a part of the competition, her beauty caused her to stand out, so she was chosen. God had a purpose for her. She became faced with a challenge because there are rules even the wife must abide by. Her people, the Jews, lives were at risk and no one could approach the king with this matter, but Esther. She was in fear but found the courage to call a fast so she can go before the king. Her courageous act saved the Jewish people. As young woman the pressure of this world can make you feel like you’re not good enough. You must understand this, ‘What Did God Say?” “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9) No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. (John 15:15) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10) Its time to get in position. The story of Esther came with deep lessons during the events. Understand that God has a plan and a purpose for your life. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11) Esther was at the right place at the right time. All she needed to do was accept the call that was set
over her life. Go wants to use us, but we have to be available to use cause if you don’t do it, he will find someone else. God is clear as to what he wants for your life. Be confident in knowing that God wants us to experience the best of him. Stand in faith. “What will they think of me?”, I’m constantly praying and I’m not hearing anything”. God’s Word is bigger than your circumstances. Start declaring, “I will not give up. Renew your ability to trust in him by just recalling times when he restored you. When you are called to stand, don’t doubt, James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. The answer you are seeking is not always coming the way you expect. Obedience is key. This is a test of our love to God. The concept of obedience is to hear or surrender God’s authority. John 14:15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. Being obedient is a form of worship unto God. You show gratitude by honoring God. As a believer, obedience restores or relationship with God, while disobedience destroys it. When God gives us a command we must act. In the story Esther completely die to herself, becoming deeply committed, faithful, and willing to obey instructions given. When you allow God to be in control obedience is perfected. As Christ obey His heavenly Father, we also have to obey. Are you ready? God needs a vessel he can use to make a difference today. God is waiting on you and He is not limited in who he can work through. The bible points out the plan of our adversary, but God has a better offer. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). This world is facing perilous times; “thieves” are careless, neglecting the sheep. God is just and has chosen you in this era to bring justice back

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12) Don’t let the world set expectations for you, be an example to an unbelieving world by following Christ. You will be faced with circumstances but understand God has called you show greater maturity in your life no matter your age. • In speech: May the words of our mouth be pleasing and acceptable to God (Psalm 19:14).
• In love: Let all that you do be done in love (1 Corinthians 16:14). • In faith: For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) • In purity: How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. (Psalm 119:9) No matter the place you are in life, like Queen Esther, let her bravery remind you that with God you’re not deemed powerless, but you’re fueled by faith. I have got so much out of the programme including spiritual growth, wisdom, knowledge, understanding and I’ve grown so much in faith and intimacy in my relationship with the Lord. I now know who God has called me to be and what He wants me to do, the purpose for my life, what my strengths and my weaknesses are. I have got connected with wonderful women of God who I am happy to call my new friends. I am so grateful for Jacqueline for her obedience in saying yes to God.
DEBORAH OLUSOGA England, UK I am a Christian Recording Artist, Song writer and Christian Author. Am aware every Christian is a sent Christian but to whom much is given, much is expected, I know God is leading me in a direction which am still struggling to fully comprehend. This led me to join the Mentoring Group for International Women under the leadership of Jacqueline Ani. I do believe that iron sharpens iron according to Proverbs 27:17 and the little time I’ve spent has been very productive, am growing more and more and my hope in the divine calling is being renewed daily, so as my faith in God.
SIMA GUDU Sima Gudu, Essex, UK ‘The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.’ Psalm37:23 It was one day when l was minding my own business online that God brought Jacqueline Ani to my attention, leading me to shortly thereafter join the MGFIW family of truly inspired and inspiring women of God. From the get go, I so much identified with the ladies in the group and felt at home, why? Because we are on the same team fighting the same devil, to pursue, overtake and recover all. In this awesome group, God is growing us as family and as individuals, to be seasoned women of battle, who are not afraid but are ready to contend against the wiles and plans of the enemy for the next generations. Since joining the group l no longer dwell in the past because now l have a vision which is confirmed in the Word of God, and I know it will soon come to pass. So many pieces of the jigsaw puzzle in my personal life have come together, and still some continue to do so since joining the group. l am experience increasing clarity and purpose pertaining to my role as a wife(helpmeet) mother and a daughter in the kingdom. Jacqueline has provided an amazing international home for us to be discipled, mentored, inspired, challenged & packaged to function in fulfilment of purpose for the glory of God. Through TMGIW I am continuing to grow spiritually with exposure to unlimited access to the word, live videos, twice a day prayer calls & cell groups. I love that we can access each other anytime. Indeed, we are each other’s keepers as sisters. We give God

ARETTA TAYLOR Palm Bay, FL I desire to be all that God has called me to be in this lifetime while making a godly difference in this world. I just knew that the group and program was the roadmap to my greatness in Christ.
HEIDI BRENNER, Perkasie, PA I joined the group to keep digging deeper into God and regular bible study wasn’t cutting it. I felt God has lead me to this group. He has been drawing me in deeper to where all I need is Him. What I have gotten out of the program is more confidence. I have beaten my fear that has had control over my life since I was small. God has shown me through this program what my calling is. I am still growing and learning. This program has been such a blessing. I have also met some amazing ladies that I sincerely love. I feel such kinship with them. This has been a life changing program that God has lead me too.

I joined the Cell Group because I have always enjoyed small, intimate groups that were structured. It gives me sort of a small teacher to student ratio situation to allow me to learn and ask questions. I have learned a great deal in this cell group. The importance of journaling, the wheel of life, setting a goal and taking action, and about the different seasons in life, among other things. Being in the cell group has allowed me to have two leaders that I can personally contact by text or phone to discuss or pray about anything on my mind. They understand what I’m going through in my marriage and in my growth with Christ!

VICKI DEPASSE Appleton, WI. USA After having gone through a stressful time in my life, I desired to find my purpose. I started to follow Jacqueline Ani who started this group. So far the Mentoring Group for International Women has been life-changing. The leadership knows what they are doing. Through my mentor Jacqueline Ani and the Mentors of the Faith Group, I have discovered my spiritual gifts and am in the process of discovering a new purpose in my life. Jacqueline and the Mentors have asked the right questions in our sessions to allow me to find out how God is directing me to my purpose. Currently I am discovering my “why.” The purpose of the mentoring group is to Pursue, Overtake and Recover All. Thankfully there is no worldly advice given in this group but encouragement to discover who I am in Christ through the Word. I am moving forward in my purpose!
SHAVANTHI KARELL LONGE Freeport, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas I decided to jump at the wonderful opportunity to do the Leadership Mentoring for Purpose Program because for so long I had depended heavily on my husband, and along the way I discovered that I had lost my own identity. The timing to do the Program was perfect as I had started to have a spiritual awakening as God began to remind me of the vision and purpose that He had for MY life. As He began to stir up my gifts, I had a desire to grow more in the
realization of my life’s purpose. When I leave this earth, I want to leave empty; having poured out all that God has put inside of me. The Program has been a blessing as it has allowed me to understand more how fearfully and wonderfully made we all are! His works are indeed wonderful; my soul knows it so well. I am being stretched and challenged to step out of the boat and trust God while I use what He has given me. I am no longer the timid young woman that I was. I am now confident, because I know where my strength comes from. I pray that my life will inspire my only daughter and other ladies to be strong and purposeful women of God. May God richly bless Jacqueline for offering the Program to us free of charge.
ZSUZSANNA DRENYOVSZKI-SZŰCS Hungary Budapest "I joined the LMPP in the time of my life where lots of changes were going on in my life on one hand, on the other, nothing was moving. I had felt a bit stuck for some time when I sensed the urge to join and see how this goes. I learnt first and foremost not to give way to my emotions, not to be ruled by them. I learned not to lean on my own understanding about things happening, rather rely on God Almighty in all. I learned to be more focused, especially on the purpose and goal God gave me. I've matured in my social roles and I've matured in my faith. I'm really grateful for the straightforwardness and transparency of the programme and Jacqueline Ani herself. Genuity really helps to be honest with myself in delicate but crucial things!
