AIRPORT CITY/competition entry /co-authors Michal Mačuda, Jiří Vítek/Prague/2015 A surplus of existing non-articulate areas is infilled with built-up volumes creating an urban score of a city which is diverse as well as Prague itself. The envelopes pose a main spatial regulation based on diagram. These are derived from a flight profile and shading parameters of surrounding buildings, the envelopes are optimalized in relation to views from a new control tower. Their programme is multiple, they are able to be actualized during the built-up process. The districts create rhizomatic, mutually non-hierarchic and autonomous quarters organized around inner public space. The flow of public areas is inscribed into the surface pattern via equipotential lines, which are generated from the kind of movement. If it is quicker, these lines are more liquid (transit around districts), if it is more quiet, lines create meanders and sediments (inner shared spaces).

The last one from workshops with Ján Pernecký, focused on parametric designing in Grasshopper platform, was dedicated to simulations of non-linear behaviour via agent systems. Its outputs are student designs of limited edition of house-made ice lollies, which is possible to buy seasonally in cultural space PRAHA in Brno.

RECONVERSION OF STATE FARM /competition entry/co-authors Jiří Vítek, Jiří Železný /Doubravník/2015 Former state farm and its site has spatial parameters to became new meaningful element of the municipality Doubravník. The awarded competition design initiates minimal interventions to existing building and its compound aiming to enrich the site such meanings. In sequentially created park with biotop (natural pool) and multifuctional attic, besides public spaces (sitting stairs from street, lawns for lying, playground, courtyard behind the wall of former stalls, public toilets, new access to St. Anna Chapel or riverfronts) there are planned also semi-public and semi-private areas for local residents - doorstep with shared vestibules and winter garden, orchard, vegetable and flower beds. Thanks to the local activists, the attic was first time opened for public due exhibition of competition entries together with their presentations and accompanying program.

ENVIRONMENTAL ENVELOPE/competition entry /co-author Jiří Vítek/Orlová/2015 Orlová is a city mycelium in post-industrial landscape. The revitalization of its historical centre is comprehended as another life of the original rhizome, which havent got any beginning or end, it is an intermezzo, allways in the middle, in between other quarters. The design search for possibilities - of designing autonomous city complex without non-uniforming of its architecture, of treating historical heritage without any restrictions, of creating economically attractive area without 'developing' or wasting surrounding landscape. The result of such discourse is urban planning based on sustainable development. The main 3D regulation over building sites of morphologically defined area conceived environmental envelope. It should incite to speculate about dense urban fabric of the old city. More than a necessity (number of inhabitants is decreasing) it means a possibility (building freedom) of looking for what is lacking to the city.

PRAHA/public contract/co-author Jaroslav Sedlák/ in cooperation with 4AM/graphic design Deep Throat Studio/Brno/2014 An existing restoration workshop is adapted to a new cultural space with café. This is drafted as an extension of the neighbouring public space, creating the same variable scene for planned cultural programme as the courtyard itself. The project is mainly focused on the annexe of Pražák Palace in which an open space on area 90 m2 is created by tearing down of existing dividing walls. As much as possible adaptive equipment consists of changeable modular bar, practicables, partially folding chairs and tables or mobile library. Necessary background facilities (lockable storage/office and barrier-free sanitary facility) is placed to adjacent room in North-East corner of the palace. The indoor open space is connected with the outdoor courtyard via two entrances. To the existing one in northern part is added new glazed door on another side of the building. Both accesses are barrier-free, joined by a ramp along the annexe, existing sunken entrance terrace is attached by another shorter ramp. The boundary in between new ramps and courtyard level form a staircase, in the middle part extended to relaxation areas.

P7/exhibition architecture/graphic design Tomáš Hnida /Praha/2014 The installation of street exhibition 130 Years of Prague 7 is inspired by local pavilion with Marolds diorama of a battle near Lipany, and by recycling of earlier design of West Bohemian Gallery in Pilsen. Despite decreased scale it creates an autonomous exhibition space with upper diffuse lighting. Due to inner orientation of exhibition it is achieved its detachment from visual smog of public space. The form of object in between low-tech futurism and Tokyo Lucky Hole attract passer-byes to peep.

FESTKA STORE/interior design/Praha/2013 Existing confined rooms are opened by tearing down a part of interior dividing walls. The black furniture goes through places of former partitions and interconnects continuous interior space. A supplement of furniture infrastructure comprises black cables of light and socket circuits. The whole black fundus in white open space creates a background for range of bike products (including production, service and administration).

PODIUM/installation/curator Katarína Gatialová /graphic design Peter Liška/New Synagogue, Žilina/2013 Project is based on random variation, which arose in building construction of neological synagogue by architect Peter Behrens. During six events the deviation becomes the starting point of connecting currently rebuild spaces of synagogue with the public. The project is testing the space for its future use as Kunsthalle. In the central area is built the multi-purpose platform, which has the height according to the original plan of synagogue. It represents an extension of the public space to the interior of synagogue, where it provides the facility for activities of accompanying program. Modular system of platform uses its vertical adaptability for the specific type of the event.
