Welcome to the 2024 Fall Feature Female Sale! This year we are happy to be working with the team from Wright Livestock Marketing and as always, the team from Hoards Station. Not to sound like a broken record, but the demand for Charolais has never been stronger. With our cull cows being worth what they are and seeing as high of prices as they are bringing, it’s a no brainer to cull hard and reinvest with some quality genetics.
This year’s sale is brought to you with the same original group of consignors with the addition of EMB Charolais. We welcome them to our sale this year. This sale has something for everyone, from brood cows to show prospects. Come by early for lunch and to meet and greet everyone. To the past bidders and buyers, thanks for the support and we welcome and love meeting new customers. For any questions, feel free to reach out to myself, sale staff or any of the consignors. Look forward to seeing everyone there.
Josh Taylor Sale Chairman

The bred heifers are outstanding quality from top to bottom, confirmed bred to exciting service sires backed by proven genetics. If you are looking for a proven female, don’t overlook the two-year old females on offer. To wrap up the offering, there is a choice embryo lot on offer that are sired by some of the most sought after sires in the Charolais breed, and an exciting pregnant recip carrying a calf that has a pedigree packed with industry leading genetics.
We are honoured to be working with each and every consignor in this group, and we hope that we can be of assistance to you if you have any questions about the females featured in this offering or help sourcing that female to fit your program. An LT Countdown daughter I really admire both genetically and phenotypically. The LT Countdown daughters are just starting to make their mark and cause a stir across North America and this female is a perfect example why. 42L is big centered with extra bone and dimension, sits down on a sound foot and is starting to set down a perfect udder on a structurally impeccable skeleton. Maternally backed up by some very influential cows here, this one has the goods for an awfully bright future.
Bred May 1/2024 to WIA Backwater Jack 060P (Due Feb. 6/2025)
35L is a smooth moving, correct made heifer with lots of length of spine. We think the Gamechanger x 10E combination will make this heifer into a cow with lots of longevity. Bred early to DCR Blueprint.
Bred March 28th to DCR Blueprint J7
LT Countdown - Ref sire lot 1
This is the kind of female that catches your eye from any angle. She is just an April heifer! She is smooth and feminine fronted but also exhibits some muscle and performance and carries it on a great set of feet and legs. Her mother is a maternal sister to our 16M heifer calf that will have a lot of attention on sale day. There is no guesswork here, this one will go on and make an impact in any breeding program and with her mating to Blueprint, we think the best is yet to come.
Bred April 9th to DCR Blueprint J7, confirmed safe by ultrasound
Legacy – WOW – why on earth would we sell this heifer? Trust me, we’ve pondered that question often over the past few months. Adele, an incredible showpiece female, has left several noteworthy ones scattered across North America and the player’s club winning sire, Apex, needs no introduction. We love our Apex daughters. But if her mom and dad aren’t worthy enough, notice her service. She’s bred early on to the potentially game changing sire Historic! 100 straws brought a whopping $122,000 this spring and here’s one of those few right here –Holy, moly what’s not to love?
Bred Mar 24 to SVY HISTORIC 241K – NO EXPOSURE

It just does not seem to matter who we mate our Delilah cow family line to; the selection committee seems to find them. Grandslam Delilah 601L is a mating that combines our Delilah family along with Pleasant Dawn Maggie. Kirlene Grandslam 316G left his mark in our herd and is now producing for a local commercial operation. 601L comes to you with loads of potential on solid legs and hooves. With Delilah being smooth shouldered and bred to our Xplorer son, HPF 6L, she should drop a calf with ease. Endless Options, Endless Possibilities.
Bred to Kirlene Explorer 6L for an end of January calf, Ultrasound checked safe
Loretta has all the right stuff! She is a big, strong heifer with lots of muscling, eye appeal and haircoat. Loretta’s dam KBF 43D has always been a farm favorite and has consistently given us great offspring to offer in both the female and bull sales. Bred for an early January calf to LT Combat.
Breeding date: March 25, 2024 to LT Combat 2591 PLD
This female really should have seen the show road, she’s deep, thick, quiet and flat out good. Bred April 7th to LT del ray this should be a great combination.
Ultrasound checked safe Bred April 7th to LT Del Rey 6161 p
Here’s a nice big capacity heifer with a very good set of genomic EPDs. Her Ty Cobb dam, WDE 147E, was purchased in calf at the Wrangler Dispersal Sale in 2022. Will make a productive cow with longevity bred in.
She was AIed April 27 , 2024 to PCC Cobain 231K for a fancy calf due around Feb. 3, 2025.
Pregnancy checked June 5 and Aug. 1 , 2024 and favourable to this breeding.

Latte is a heifer we often refer to as the big loveable teddy-bear. There is a lot of heifer here and she’s the kind that will go on and produce those herd bulls the commercial market longs for. She’s sired by the predictable and time-proven Maverick and out of one of our big, broody, good uddered Chavez daughters. We should also mention her noteworthy grandmother is SOS Adele. But not only great in her own right, this service is truly compelling. She is caught right early to SVY Historic, no exposure, and the resulting calf could very well by your next herd sire or flush cow extraordinaire.
Bred Mar 24 to SVY HISTORIC 241K – NO EXPOSURE
Function, capacity and balance are bred into this beautifully profiled bred heifer. In her short life, 4L’s dam continues to impress us with her consistent production with strong maternal traits left by Balamore Godzilla (Elders Blackjack). Backed up on the top side by WC Uncharted who has left the industry with countless high producing females and a high seller from this sale in 2021. If you like cattle that have rib, angularity, and that are beautifully structured, don’t pass over this powerhouse female!
Checked safe to exposed breeding May 15 – July 30, 2023 to Cedardale Leonardo 77L (Harvie Solution 99J X Cedardale Winchester 70W)
This female comes with longevity built in. Her dam is a staple around here and still weaned a calf at 16 years of age, so hopefully you like her as you should have her a long time. She’s deep and broody, good footed and is really quiet.

Well balanced, smooth made heifer with that wide top, big rib and depth everyone looks for. We think these Gamechanger daughters make great cows. She is bred early to the popular HRJ Maverick.

Remember what I said regarding different mating’s to our Delilah cow families; 610L comes to you from our exciting Duty-Free Son, SOS crossfire 25J. She is a solid footed bred heifer with beautifully positioned small teats and bred to our clean-up bull 6L; the Possibilities are Endless.
Bred to Kirlene Explorer 6L for a later January calving, Ultrasound checked safe
Here is another example of what Grandslam has produced for us; an easy doing, easy fleshing, long spined and honest heifer. This one just may have a touch more spring in her rib, but I will let you sort that out in person or ask Jon. Being bred to LT Signature will also add to the excitement next spring. Endless Options, Endless Possibilities.
Bred to LT Signature 6136 Pld for a mid January calving, Ultrasound checked safe
We flushed Luscious’ mom, SOS Gina, and the first go round resulted in 3 bulls and this one heifer. Noteworthy, 2 of those 3 bulls were the first to sell out of the bull pen and so it’s very probable that Luscious might just become one of those “producer” cows too. Her sire, Backdraft, certainly caught the eye of many when he became a players club champion and so the genetics are right here. And who wouldn’t want a Revelation baby? Almost guaranteed to slip out while you sleep easy, and we think the combo of Revelation’s thick, smooth eye appeal is going to blend perfectly with Luscious’ structure. Milk, calving ease and performance right here.
Bred May 4 to DR REVELATION – NO EXPOSURE
Here is a bred heifer from the heart of the keeper pen. Her mom is a great uddered feminine type of female, the kind we strive to produce. The Justify calves have really impressed us with their soundness and impeccable foot structure, and they have the kind of performance that we anticipated. This female puts all those things into an eye appealing package and is bred for an early January calf to the new Semex heifer bull, DCR Blueprint. This mating will certainly be an exciting one.
Bred April 9th to DCR Blueprint J7, confirmed safe by ultrasound
Super Feminine, moderate, big barrelled heifer out of a no miss Turton cow. The only reason we are parting with this one is because we have a full sister that is in our show string this year. Bred early to LT Countdown.

Love this heifer! Lilia is the perfect balance of confirmation, EPD’s and eye appeal. This is another Silverstream Padra daughter that truly stands out and deserves a second look on sale day. Bred for an early January calf to CML No Worries.
Breeding date: March 25, 2024 to CML No Worries 64H

We really appreciate our Justify daughters and this one is out of a 9-year-old cow that never misses. This female is one that checks a lot of boxes. We’re confident that she’ll follow in her mother’s footsteps and be a profitable female for years to come, and her mating to the calving ease specialist Del Rey is just an added bonus!
Bred April 9 to LT Del Rey 6161, confirmed safe by ultrasound
These Galactic daughters are exactly the kind we strive to raise with balance, thickness and structural integrity. 106L comes right of the top of our replacement heifer pen. The first Galactic daughters are now in production and we sure are impressed with their mothering ability and udder quality amongst everything else they offer. Genetically backed by the likes of Zeal, Alcatraz and Wyoming Wind, here is one with a pretty productive future ahead of her. Bred early for a January calf by Backwater Jack makes this heifer extra exciting.
Bred April 11/2024 to WIA Backwater Jack 060 P (Due Jan. 17/2025)

Last year Karen said no, we weren’t selling this one. This year she wasn’t around on selection day. Keke is out of our fall 2022 calving program. Only the best mama’s get a second chance to go into the fall program, so needless to say we get a lot of really good calves in the fall. Keke is a big, stout lady with brood cow written all over her. And to top it off, she has a very easy-going disposition and is great to work with. Keke is bred to the calving ease bull, WCR Bold Move 168P, for an early January calf. Bold Move was the top selling bull at the 2023 US National Sale in Denver. Keke’s half brother sold to Wrangler Charolais from our annual bull sale.
Breeding date: March 25, 2024 to WCR Bold Move 168P
by FOURTHLANE
Big powerful heifer that still maintains femininity. Her dam is a hard-working Revelation cow and I would look for this extra age heifer to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Bred early to Pleasant Dawn Serenity.
Bred March 25th to Pleasant Dawn Serenity
Gunner is a new bull we have used over the last few years and with his first round of daughters hitting production this year, we couldn’t be happier with the udders and muscle definition he is leaving on his progeny. With our Chieftan semen almost gone, we knew we wanted a bull that would continue to improve udder phenotype and overall milk production, and the Hisman bloodline has done just that.
Their Dam at 13 years old hasn’t missed a beat! Still flawless in her hoof design and overwhelming with her sheer mass and body capacity, 203Y is our foundation cow for our “Quinn” cow family and has been a strong producer year after year. 54M, although brought in late, is so explosive in her hip design and muscle pattern. Moving so freely in her stride, it’s hard not to fall in love with her overall thickness and functionality. 44L, similar to her sister, is long spined and so smooth through her front 1/3 considering how much muscle she carries throughout her hip. Take your choice of these FULL FRENCH heifers come sale day, they will be your future bull makers! Follow the EMB Facebook page for updated pictures and videos throughout the year.
XEB 44L bred to DSY 116J on April 15th
Marnie is a stylish heifer that was an easy pick for the sale. From day one she has stood out in the calf pen and we wish we had more NGC Capitalist daughters. Truthfully we shouldn’t be selling this one. If you’re looking for a female that tops all the EPD’s and has a great look to go with it, this is your girl!
A standout PCC Cobain 231K daughter from day 1. She is wide backed and deep bodied with tons of hair. She has a winning style and was shown this summer to win, place and show positions only in good competitions. Her dam was purchased as a heifer calf from Wayne Mack in the Platinum Picks Sale of 2020. Take a look here and carry on with her show career and then turn her into a heck of a good cow with this exceptional set of genomic EPDs!
This female is one that will just get better with age. Her dam, Fourthlane Glow, is a no miss cow and past high seller from this sale. This heifer would make a real nice junior project or one heck of a brood cow.
Here is the result of the flush on our high selling two-yearold from the 2021 sale, and as you can see, the results speak for themselves. This female is long bodied, very smooth made and extremely sound. She has the potential to be a top end show heifer and the pedigree to turn into a herd building cow. There aren’t many opportunities to get your hands on progeny from the 2021 National Champion bull, HRJ Holy Water, so don’t miss out when you have the chance to!
There may be the odd Badge heifer calf around this year but we think you’ll need to look hard to find one any better than Miley. @ years ago at the Royal we fought hard and won a pick out of the Cedardale operation. Miley’s mom was the result of that pick and what a cow she is becoming; a perfect udder, halter worthy and easy to work with. We’re quite certain Miley is going to follow well in her footsteps. Here’s a heifer calf to build a herd around for sure.
Do you have a 4-H aged child looking for a project with a touch of magic? Kirlene Magic 12M might just fit the order. Touch of old school with Wyoming Wind on the top side and a touch of new school with SVY Wizard on the bottom side; we feel we put a pretty neat package together. If not for 4-H, Magic should go on to be a productive female in any herd. The Options are Endless with Kirlene Magic!
High performance calf with a quiet, unassuming attitude. Her impressive length of spine and volume adds to her overall mass. Her potential to make a favoured momma cow is endless.
Martha May has been a standout heifer calf since she was born. She is quite possibly the best heifer calf around here this summer. This daughter of Cedardale Jaguar is out of a WC Uncharted cow that is backed by generations of excellent cows around our place. If you are looking for a heifer that will be highly competitive on the show road next summer and genetically designed to be a productive brood cow for years to come, here is one to take note of.
They say a soothing Melody moves the soul, we’re pretty sure this one will move your eyes as well. She’s so correct in every way and given her pedigree, that was totally expected. She’s out of our flush cow that we purchased from the Springside dispersal and sired by none other than the now world renowned SVY Mayfield. We’ve had a handful of Mayfield calves this year and we just love them. They have all been easy coming, filled with vigour and lots of depth from hind quarter to rib; not to mention they are gorgeous. If you’re looking for a 4H project, a show heifer or simply a front pasture female, bid last on this one come sale day.
An LT Governor 1560Pld heifer calf out of Whitewater Candy Cane 2C, a cow that was successfully shown by Kurtis Black and purchased at the National Sale in Toronto way back in 2016. This calf is very correct and feminine in her make and nature. She has two sisters in production on the farm, so we are willing to part with her. She will go on to make a very nice and productive cow, and look at her genomic EPDs!
This high performance Padra daughter is from our most consistent and productive cow family that was started by MXS 863U. They’re fertile, maternal and they click with just about every mating. Silverstream Padra brings extra mass, shape and performance and has produced some very marketable offspring. Here is the kind of female that can add a lot of good to any cow herd, buy with confidence!!
by
This heifer calf is out of a cow we purchased in the Gilliland dispersal. She has lots of length, good feet and legs and a nice disposition. Would make a real nice cow in any program.
Melody is a great example of our Silverstream Padra daughters. We are very impressed with her structure and eye appeal. Melody’s dam, KBF 13F, is not the biggest cow in the herd, but she has consistently given us front pasture calves, which have grown into great cows.
KIRLENE JENNA 26K
Well folks, here is a sale feature from Kirlene. I sure cannot take credit for her breeding, as she was the calf that came from the cow the following spring after the purchase of a cow/calf pair from Springside’s dispersal. However, we can take credit for using her as Ruby’s 4-H project, both as a calf and the following year as a bred yearling. Just fantastic development in Jenna; long spine, deep barrel, smooth shouldered and tremendous hind quarter. With the dark pigmented teats on a very square udder, Jenna has many years of being productive for her new owner. When she lays down to calve, half the work is done if you wish to have a cow/calf pair to show. Endless Options, Endless Possibilities.
Here is our two-year-old offering, Blackbern Kacie! A great female putting everything into her calf KBF 1M (Lot 39A). If Kacie follows in her dam and granddam’s footsteps, she will be quite the cow! Great feet, legs and udder attachment run deep in this family. Add to this, Kacie is bred for a mid January calving to NGC Capitalist 118J.
Breeding date: April 5, 2024 to NGC Capitalist 118J
Bred to LT Signature 613G PLD for a mid January calving Ultrasound checked safe This is a heifer calf you don’t want to overlook! Madeline is a strong, long-sided heifer with great eye appeal. She is out of KBF 8K, a two-year-old

The first Charolais cow Tyson bought was Amabec Buttercup in 2015. We wish that all kids could be as happy with their first purchase as Tyson was. Here we are nine years later, and Buttercup is still producing great calves that are kept in the herd. Buttercup has raised a Champion Male at Expo Boeuf and high seller in our bull sale. This summer we flushed Buttercup and are offering you a choice of 3 IVF embryos – Amabec Buttercup 12B x SVY Historic 241K or Amabec Buttercup 12B x RMB Keystone. Both bulls are industry leaders with infinite potential! Historic topped the spring market in 2024 with semen prices up to $2,500 a straw. Keystone sired the high selling heifer calf at the 2023 Agribition Sale.
Tag 1705 is a four-year-old tan Char with a great udder and is good to work with. A very good, young commercial cow, she is carrying a Brenda / Ruger embryo for certain as there was no exposure and the vet called the ultrasound a likely heifer calf.
Brenda is one of the most recognized and highly sought after females in the Charolais breed. Her progeny are topping sales both North and South of the border and rightly so, powerful sons and picture-perfect daughters always do. To add excitement and anticipation here, I introduce Ruger, a bull who surely needs no introduction. At $72,000, he was the high selling bull for spring 2022 and he was the Agribition Reserve Champion in 2022 one that continues to gain momentum. What you have in the incubator here is quite possibly the next breed changing female. 3 IVF
