Here we are, already at Vol. IV, and it seems the excitement and momentum of this sale just keeps building. Each year the quality of the consignments continues to improve, the relationship with our guest consignors & buyers continues to grow, and the success that we are seeing both in the ring & pasture with these cattle is at an all time high.
This past year has been a special one here at Millbrook. 2021 was a year that we will never forget for many reasons, but this last year we have seen the Millbrook program be taken to a new level. The international recognition that Millbrook Fireball & Millbrook Tribute have received is truly humbling. Their progeny are becoming sale topping cattle, earning national level banners, and we feel the ball is just getting going on these bulls. The females from NE III earned more banners than any other group of cattle in our history, both North & South of the 49th, and as you will see in this offering are now producing their own legacy.
At this time last year I thought the Shorthorn breed was at an all time high. The upward trajectory we have continued to see in the last 12 months is unlike any other breed. From the numbers that are showing up to Junior National events, to the out of breed attention we are earning from respected cattlemen, this trend is one that is not ending anytime soon. Now is the time to invest in these cattle and the Shorthorn breed. Each of the consignors have retained and developed either own consignments this year, so we encourage you to jump in your car and go for a drive to check them out. It is the deepest set we have ever offered, and know there will be something for everyone.

I don’t know if there’s been a more anticipated female to sell in NE than this one. Beyond her mother’s accolades in the show ring, 6J has opened more doors, and introduced us to more people more than any one female ever has.
Selected to lead off the sale as lot 1, just where her mother did in Vol II, 5L brings a unique twist of unmatched power with tremendous phenotypic quality. She represents everything the Maria cow family has created: elegant in her skull, massive outlined and built so well at the ground. The combination of Hot Commodity & Fireball has proven to have unlimited generating potential.
We invited the new owners to join our good friends at Longview Cattle Co as we campaign Maria 5L alongside her mother this fall. Show rights are reserved on this female until after CWA.
