November Gold 2019

Page 1

Dear Customers & Friends, On behalf of the November Gold Sale Group, we would like to extend our warmest welcome to our 7th Annual Prospect & Club Calf Sale and Junior Event. We are all very excited and humbled to be heading into our 7th year. When we started this gig, we never imagined we would still be going, 7 years strong! We can’t thank you enough for trusting in our programs for the year after year. Huge thank you to all the Juniors and their families for all of your hard work this past year. Your successes truly made this year a memorable one. From your 4H Club Achievement Days, Regional Shows, Junior Shows, Summer Jackpots and the Stampede, we can’t thank you enough for representing November Gold and doing such a tremendous job with your calves. Great Cattle + Great Families= SUCCESS! With each new year, brings change. Change is inevitable! This year we would like to send our best wishes to Hillbilly Cattle Co as they have decided to part with us here at November Gold. They have decided to focus on their purebred genetics and raise a few steers each year for their children to show in 4H. Hillbilly helped us get this dream off the ground and we couldn’t be more proud that they were a part of what we have now. So thank you to Hillbilly Cattle Co for your friendship and your great cattle. You will be missed, but we wish you all the best in your new ventures! The Junior Event is very near and dear to all of us. We all grew up in the 4H program and feel it is our duty to provide back to Youth in Agriculture. The support of our Junior Event over the past 7 years has been unimaginable! We never dreamed it would take off like this and be something these Juniors look forward to year after year! It is so great to see the passion of all of these Juniors each year participating in the Event. Thank you to the parents for driving the extra miles to allow your kids to participate and for seeing the importance of the knowledge we are providing. Thank you to our wonderful Sponsors, most whom have been with us since the beginning. Without you, this Junior Event would not be possible! The common interest for our love of agriculture, cattle & showing, brings us together each year not only as sale partners, but as friends. To us, this is more than just a sale- it is our lives and our passion. When you are doing what you love, with people you love, every minute is worth it. The long hard days seem to disappear when you see the faces of excited kids and happy customers. To be heading into our 7th year is truly a great accomplishment and a testament to our programs. Thank You to all of our past, present and future customers- without you there would be no us. Also a big thank you to our families, friends and volunteers that help make this all possible. It really does take a small village to put on this sale and event so thank you for being there to lend a hand each year. Last, but certainly not least, to Mike Fleury, for all you do for us and for believing in us these past 7 years, we are forever grateful for your support and friendship. Yours Truly, November Gold Sale Crew - Arch Holdings, Wright Livestock, & Elldem Cattle Investments

RASA MR.BOJANGLES 232E (COMFORT ZONE) WALK SOFTLY 221D (WALKS ALONE)

Winston is a steer that really catches your eye! He is out of our 2017 National Champion Maintainer Bull RASA Mr. Bojangles, now owned by Pick Six Cattle. We just love Winston’s color pattern and the horseshoe on his forehead is the cherry on top! Winston was Champion Commercial Steer at PA EX and Reserve Champion Prospect Steer at Perdue Fair this summer. Winston is really a powerhouse individual. He is super stout, big boned, good footed and has a beautiful front end on him. He is little kid friendly and is truly a puppy dog! We have high hopes for this steer! A steer we feel could take you right to the winner’s circle.

These Tom Selleck steers just continue to impress us year after year and Magnum could quite possibly be the best Tom Selleck steer we have ever raised. Magnum is built just right- long bodied, clean fronted, big topped and big hipped. He is very structurally correct and we just love how he moves. He is full brother to Jayme Berting’s Reserve Champion steer at the Melfort Regionals this past July. We feel Magnum holds the same potential as his brother before him, with a couple banners already under his belt. He was Champion Jackpot Steer and Reserve Commercial Steer at the PA EX this summer. We think this is only the beginning for Magnum.

Four years ago Double F Cattle Co- TheFeige Family- put their trust in our program and purchased half of Tom Selleck 160C. They believed he could make an impact in their commercial herd and kept a lot of replacement females off of Tom to put back in their own herd. This little steer comes from the Double F program. Ryan knew we had to have him for our sale when he saw him on a pasture tour this summer. We are extremely proud of our Tom Selleck calves and Nacho fits right in with the string. He is stout, hairy, big topped and mild mannered- a real typical Tom Selleck steer! We feel Nacho could be the perfect fit for a Calgary steer.

Ryan’s Aunt Chandra has invested into our herd, purchasing a couple females from us and putting them into a share program here. We finally got a calf to put into the sale! Tater is a steer out of our proven calving ease bull- Doc Holiday. All the Doc calves came small and were full of jam! Tater is a really cool individual, and we aren’t just talking about his cool color pattern! He’s got a nice soft shape to him with a great profile and nice front end. We think that Tater could be a really cool jackpot steer.

Maverick reminds us of our Bandwagon steer last year purchased by Kolton Barr- The Gambler. A big, soggy, pay weight steer, with a great temperament. And who doesn’t love a baldie face and fuzzy ears! We think Maverick will be an awesome 4H steer that won’t cost much to feed and bring you home that FAT paycheck come Achievement Day!

Bandit is a very stylish steer. He has really nice lines, a smooth front end, good hip and a rip of a coat of hair! He is such a gentle steer and has followed us around the pen ever since he was a baby. We feel Bandit could be a great 4H steer for a younger member. A calf you could really form a bond with.
