From the desk at T BAR Welcome to the forty seventh annual Six Mile Ranch Bull Sale on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the ranch headquarters, Fir Mountain, Saskatchewan. Six Mile Ranch is a household name in quality seed stock production and have spread their influence around the globe. Dating back seventy-three years when the ranch was established this family is laden with both history and heritage. Over the past year Mother Nature has tested the strength of the cow herds throughout Western Canada. The Six Mile cowherd passed all her tests as you will find when you tour this powerful set of bulls they have on offer. Whether you require Red or Black Angus or the SimmAngus halfbloods (the best of both worlds), the quality and opportunities run deep. During the past several years they have expanded their embryo transplant program to a later calving component … the results are exciting, as you will find several herd bull opportunities in the coming two-year-old’s. These two’s have been slated for this event and are untouched. The proven genetic diversity offers purebred breeders and ranchers alike an outstanding selection to choose from. Juniors and over aged juniors, check out the fancy group of open heifers on offer. They come from a great cow herd with high maternal values, making foundation females. • The Cactus Coulee herd acquisition was exciting on so many levels for us at Six Mile. Calving out the first Eddie 500E daughters was one of the highlights! He was the first herdsire prospect we marketed from our lead donor Taffeta 142B-Mr. Bjelland knew he had to own him after laying eyes on 142B. These Eddie females are simply gorgeous when they hit production; deep soft sweeping rib cages that tie into a long fore udder attachment with perfectly spaced and sized teats. Serena 653J adds the maternal strength from Eliminator into the mix- I think this one only gets better as time moves on.
Gentry was our high selling bull to Cactus Coulee in 2020. We have never seen a Red Angus bull with his consistency of calving ease, dark red color and foot quality. Use a Gentry son to increase the maternal strength in your heifer pen.

Six Mile keeps bulls out of the sale for this sole purpose. Yearling bulls shall be guaranteed breeders for no more than 20 females.
