Outline 2017 In 2017 Janssen de Jong Groep achieved a turnover of 393 million euro and a profit after taxes of 13 million euros. The group has significantly increased its profit compared to 2016. In 2014 we have outlined our ambitions and goals for the years 2015-2017 in a strategic plan. The principal goals of growth, cooperation with strategic partners and a profitable organization are achieved. For the next three years a new strategy has been chosen, which can be expressed into the new slogan of the group: ‘Let’s build happiness’. Our company can be divided into three clusters: Project Development & Construction, Commercial Property and Caribbean, hereby a few highlights of their achievements over 2017: The Caribbean companies have been able to adapt well to the changing market conditions. Hurricane Irma, which raged across Saint Martin, Saba and Anquilla in September 2017 caused a lot of material damage. The companies of Janssen de Jong who are established on the above-mentioned islands have been able to recover quickly. Thanks to this mentality, the cluster achieved a good result over 2017. The cluster of Commercial Property companies completed -amongst other things- a special project Dordtse Kil 3, which has been realized according to the new Dutch law for assurance of quality, the so called ‘Wet Kwaliteitsborging voor het bouwen’, which is currently being prepared. The Cluster has demonstrated that it is ready for this new way of developing and building. This cluster performed excellently in 2017 and has grown considerably, both in terms of turnover and personnel.

The cluster Project Development & Construction can look back on a positive year. The sale of housing has increased, valuable land positions were acquired and margins improved. The cluster took on several special restoration projects, including the restoration of Paleis Het Loo, and they successfully launched a sustainable renovation project for private houses. The work in hand is well-filled for 2018, the prospect of the coming years are looking good for this cluster. Janssen de Jong Groep offers high quality products and services and continues to develop new product-market combinations. We offer total solutions and go a little further so that the customer can realize his projects without any concerns. Our innovative products and applications in the field of sustainability such as the flexible and energy efficient building system ToPlan, the renovation concept for older houses, the energy generating wall, the new building concept ‘Woody Building Concepts’ and the Private Property Plan project in the Caribbean will be rolled out further in the market. Janssen de Jong Groep benefits from expertise of the group companies active in various regions. Our company structure makes it possible to share knowledge and to respond quickly to the market. In 2017 we laid the foundation for broadening further growth. Janssen de Jong Groep is financially sound company and the organization is ready for the future.
