Design Inspiration
The inspiration behind this design was to take advantage of the exisiting architecture. The College of Enivornment and Design building attached to the site was modeled after a 1960’s modern brutalist design with sharp angles that blend in with the surrounding environment. The goal was to create a “modern twist” on nature and showcase the future of our college. The cool toned plantings and materials were chosen to be a calming environment for one to get away from the college atmosphere

Internship & Job Experience 2021-2023 Atlanta, Georgia - Athens, Georgia Gardening Crew - Installation Crew - Maintenance Crew Carmen Johnston Gardens & Gardens to Love
Description
For almost three years, I worked part-time for Carmen Johnston Gardens. This role consisted of me working on a gardening crew planting new annuals, new shrubs, and maintaining plants year round for each property. During my time with my internship, I was able to work along side with master gardeners, experienced maintenance crews, and even installing a backyard plan with two other individuals within three days. This installment was very personal considering I helped out this plan from a computer down to pouring in pea gravel.
