DESIGN SOMETHING MORE ; MINISTRY OF WONDERFUL
Ollo is a resource and space for creatives to go, experience information and work.
Ollo will be located in the creative hub of London, in a new building containing polished concrete floors, white walls large windows and a cafe.
Ollo will be a source of knowledge, with everything that goes into the building being considered. It will be a place that inspires as well as informs, with art and design on the walls and throughout the building.

The name stems from the Greek and Roman god of the arts Apollo. When written in Latin, the final ‘o’ has an accent on it. Aesthetically it looks more balanced bellow the ‘o’, hence its location of the accent in the logo.
This ‘o’ also acts as a monogram and is the focal point of the café’s branding due to is resemblance to a coffee bean.

Ollo’s aesthetic is a very clean and minimal one. The space created will make people want to interact with it and feel comfortable in it.
Each item of furniture in the building will be considered. This is a place for creatives to experience information, be inspired and work. Eames chairs and Vitra workstations (see image) are examples of the type of furniture proposed.
To function as a resource, Ollo must provide a level of information. Like a conventional library, Ollo will have a selection of printed material, some displayed on frame shelves so that their covers are visible. iMacs and iPads will also be available for members to use.

Ollo will also provide designated work spaces and benches for crafting work, as well as areas to relax and comfortable places to read or watch. The walls will be full of artwork to provide inspiration.
Ollo also includes a lecture theatre, so that talks can be help by creatives working in the professional world. Lighting will also be very considered, using only well designed objects such as Flos.

The cafe provides a more relaxed atmosphere to the building as well as providing food and drink to members. The cafe would act as a focal meeting point within the building.
Although part of the same business the cafe has its own branding, taken from the original. The ‘o’ represents ollo but it also appropriately represents a coffee bean. All of the logos can be adapted to either white or black depending on what they are to be used on.

The aesthetic inside the cafe is similar to that of the rest of the building, with large tables surrounded by stools for meetings or casual presentations, as well as individual areas for a more relaxed read.

As well as being a creative space, resource and cafe, Ollo must also function as a buisness.
Both the main space and the cafe have seperate business cards so that both places can be contacted independently. The business would also cover marketing, mailing, recruiting and management of ollo as a whole.

The business and the design as a whole will follow the companies brand guidelines to keep a consistency across the board. An example of this is the central alignment and placemant of the logo and any related information.

The website provides a platform for people to enquire about membership, use the online resources and find out what is on.
The website is responsive so would function across all platforms. Allowing the user to use the resource, become a member, sign-up to the newsletter and book onto lectures.

The app would work as a rewards card for the cafe as well as provide all of the other features on the website. You could also request books and manage your loans on the move.
