We, the creative minds of Leeds college of art strive to be the best in our disciplines. As a community we tirelessly work in collaborations to create new, innovative work. Our individual practice is fueled by creativity and experimentation. We are ready to be unleashed in to the industry and revolutionise our creative fields. We are the class of 2015. This is who we are.

CONCEPT The ‘We Are’ exhibition branding concept derives from the sense of community and diversity of the students at Leeds College of Art. It aims to empower and invigorate the students exhibiting work, as well as inspiring and engaging future students who may be interested in studying at the university. The main focus of the exhibition branding is to capture the eye of professionals and critics and show them,

from the outset, the strong work ethic and diverse skill sets that the graduates of LCA possess. The manifesto above encapsulates who we are as students and practitioners. It is concise, to the point and powerful. This manifesto can be easily related to posters and flyer’s.

PRINTED MEDIA The over all aesthetic of the printed material is both bold and clear. The strong spot colour used grabs the audiences attention as well as connoting the vibrancy that the exhibition will show. The multi-dimensions of the outside display can be utilised with each face depicting different information. The main face will show important information including the date, location and title of the exhibition. This will provide vital for passers by and drivers to take in the simplistic information.

The alternative face will show our manifesto, this will make people stop to read the information in depth this also applys to the A0 poster. The proposal for the A6 flyer’s is to make them personalised to the students exhibiting. The flyer’s will be written on by students using words that they think best describes them.

E Invite Gif

DIGITAL MEDIA The design of both the website banner and e -invite utilise animation and moving image. The gif format is well suited to the design. The simple yet effective design displays the ‘WE ARE’ brand identity as well as the green words that flash through on a loop play.

The gif animation can be easily transfered to blank wall spaces around the university through projectors. The projections will add a new dimension to the end of year show imagery.


WAY FINDING

Wayfinding Map The map produced compresses to an A5 booklet. The minimal aesthetic helps with usability. The colour scheme works along side other printed and displayed ephemera. A list of student names organised by discipline is displayed on the reverse side.
