Please talk to a guidance counselor, who can give you much more information about the many options available after you earn a high school diploma
Tuition is the bill you receive for taking classes at college or university. Tuition is separate from the other costs of attending college, such as paying for room and board, books, facility fees, and transportation
A grant is a monetary gift, most often based on personal financial need. A grant does not need to be repaid. University grants are often part of a financial aid package. Federal grants are usually based on specific requirements; for example, you must be an undergraduate student or be a graduate student studying for a teaching certification
A loan is money borrowed and repaid in a given amount of time, with or without interest depending on the legal agreement. A deferred loan means payment may be delayed until you graduate. A non-deferred loan requires payment while you are still studying

They are given for a variety of reasons, including academic achievement, special talents, traits, or interests; certain backgrounds; or specific groups of people. University scholarships are awarded based on a variety of specifications, such as excelling in academics, athletics, music, or drama; having high SAT or ACT scores; demonstrating leadership; or participating in volunteer work.
Some educational programs combine studying and working. Work study is paid employment on or off campus at institute-approved locations. These jobs are most often based on financial need. An internship is a temporary position that emphasizes on-the-job training; it can be paid or unpaid. A cooperative education ( co-op) is a type of paid internship that offers academic credit for a structured work experience in your chosen field of study. An apprenticeship combines classroom instruction and paid on-the-job training under the supervision of a journey-level craft person or trade professional.
