Hollywood Icons Return 2014 sore the return of Hollywood icons in the Dior Jador’e add. Is there more life left in this? We think so.


2014 - Radiant Orchid

2014 Sore Radiant Orchid take to the stage in Pantone’s colour of the year. And it wasn’t long until the colour appeared everywhere.

The colour appeared in fragrance shoots for Tom Ford, Dior, Calvin klien, Anna Sui and many more.

Orchid is a bright rich purple colour that is a representation of the colour of the orchidaceae flower.

As well as the colour Radiant Orchid being used, Designers were also using the flower its self to really highlight that it was the orchid colour pallet.


2015- Marsala

Introducing Marsala ( Pantone 18-1438) A naturally robust and earthy wine red, Marsala enriches our minds and souls. The Marsala Red wine colour has featured before in fragrance, especially in advertisement and in bottle.

In my prediction after analysing Pantones 2014 prediction. Marsala should take centre stage.

But in my opinion, there is still life left in this colour pallet. A more sophisticated essence of Marsala rather then the sexual context it has been involved with before.


From Bottle

The bottle plays a key part in any fragrance add! But recently we have seen the fragrance bottle getting bigger and bigger in size.

From brands such as Chanel to Chloe to Dior, the big bottle trend has been increasingly popular, and is becoming a norm in -

Fragrance advertising. Its the bottle that is becoming the object of desire not necessarily the model.


To Accessory

2015 is here and so is a trend that I feel will take the fragrance industry y storm! Especially in there advertising.

In recent fashion trends designers and boutiques have been creating accessories shaped like perfume bottles. And by the looks of things

The fragrance industry likes it too! Chloe has been the first to make there bottle a clutch in there recent campaign!


Celebrity & Fragrance

Over the years, we have seen many famous faces, endorsing designer fragrances.

From the likes of Beyonce, Nicole Kidman and Kiera knightly. Many of the celebrities chosen are

Chosen because of a particular talent such as acting or singing. Not because they are a model.

Now 2015 is here, I have chosen a few celebrities that I think will be the next new faces of our designer

The likes of Eddie redmayne and Emma stone, both very influential actors.


Hollywood Icons Return

In 2014 Christain Dior released its new ad campaign for Dior jadore, a fragrance that is known

Worldwide. But there was something new and very interesting about this new add. Using new technology

The campaign bought back to life old Hollywood icons, in a scene where they are getting ready for the

Runway. These icons included Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe and was an exceptional campaign which took the social media world and the fragrance industry by storm. As it was something that had never been done before. Now we see the likes of chocolate Brand Nestle using the same technology in there new Galaxy campaign using Audrey Hepburn.


The Icon Trend Predictions

But why have no other fragrance brand taken this idea forward, creating print advertisement or Evan film

Here are just a few that I have selected that I think would make great faces for brands such as Chanel whoms brand values are luxury and all about the glitz and glamour. I have included Elizabeth Taylor, Veronica lake, Dorothy Dandrige, Gene Tierny and Rita Hayworth, all of whom I think could be bought back to life with this new technology.

In my opinion this is a great idea and a Evan better investment for institutions.

There are so many more Hollywood Icons that can be used. Actresses and singers that have shaped the film industry.


2015 Trends

The Trends Featured in this booklet, are all predictive. In my opinion the most interesting is the Hollywood Icons, This to me still has a long lifeline, and I believe it is a great idea for institutions to pick up on. Especially those whom target market is of the older generation. I also think that the Marsala trend will be very successful based on the fact that every year Pantones Colour of the year is always present in Advertisements after its release.
